Minor point - the yard was mostly lovely but not sure why they had so many odd items in full view that were not pleasing - such as an old computer, some tools, etc. Otherwise the courtyard was a lovely place to sit if you could avoid the assorted items that were definitely out of place there.
Elvira is a charming host and even though speaks limited English we communicated with lots of laughs. It was hard to find even with our GPS but once inside the beautiful courtyard it is so worth it. Accomodations were great - very large clean room, large if long bathroom - spotless! Breakfast was in a large beautifully decorated room and we got to meet and chat with other guests. It was our anniversary and Elvira was kind enough to put a small bottle of prosecco in our room with some cookies, almonds, pistachios and an adorable hand made card. These lovely touches made for a lovely stay. Their daughter speaks excellent English and was helpful trying to give us advice to get to our next stop (Enna) in spite of the recent bridge collapse.
