the central location, most sights within a 10 minute walk.
The accordionist playing on the pavement outside the room until 11pm.
The noise from the street (old windows) and specially from the boiler each time you used the shower or your neighbours did. It woke us up at 6am! If you have trouble sleeping, don't go there. Maybe it's a known problem because earplugs were provided in the room.
Good location, Stefano very helpful as was the other staff. He even carried our luggage up as there's no lift to the 1st floor. He waited outside for us when we arrived which I thought was very nice. Really nice location with great shops all around.
It was the noisiest place I have ever stayed in. Stayed in Florence twice before and never had this problem. We had to sleep with ear plugs. Our bathroom was exceptionally small and we could hear the people next door in their bathroom.
This was a lovely place to stay. The location was so central, staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was beautifully presented and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. We had no problems with noise at night and slept soundly without using the provided earplugs!
-perfect location, 3 minutes walk to Il Duomo -super friendly and considerate staff -beautiful room -ear plugs and water provided on arrival -high quality breakfast
-a bit noisy (hence the earplugs)
A very nice B&B. It will be hard to beat the location, it is in the center of it all. Very safe, very clean.
Just a tad noisy, but you are in the center of it all.
The bedroom. The location. Stefan very helpful. Good local restaurants.
Breakfast limited in scope and variety. No sign `Florence Chic`.
Friendly staff, excellent fast wifi and the perfect central location. I will definitely stay there again.
Hard to find. As a B&B it has no sign on the street and you need to find an obscure bell. Breakfast started at 8.30 which was too late for the opening time of some galleries or some day trips departing from Florence.
We loved the location. It is very central, and in walking distance to all you want to see in Florence.
The man who ran the hotel was a bit odd, but nice enough. The location was very noisy. They provided earplugs, so this must be a common complaint. Once the earplugs were in, we were able to sleep.
very beautiful, nice and charming place. Nice and helpfull personel, good breakfast, safety place; nearly historical center.
Price Quality of food (breakfast)
Location friendly helpful staff and small scale of the operation.
Breakfast could start earlier and too many mosquitos in the room
Friendly owners who provided a great breakfast which included home baked goodies by the owner's mother. Great location which was an easy walk to the main attractions.
The staff were so friendly, really nice people. Room was great for the price. The facilities were clean and having free water every day was great. Has a lift for bags which is great.
The noise. Was a bit worrying to find ear plugs on our arrival. The noise of the streets below kept us up.
Fantastic staff, great location, room in great condition
In room bar fridge needed. Bathroom tight and lacks shelf space
Central location: all main attractions are within easy walking distance (5-10 mins). Good size room, nice room design (bright and smart). Staff (Stefano) was very helpful to sort out parking issue for us.
Parking is complete nightmare! Avoid going by car to Florence, unless staying outside city center. Parking is extremely complex (city center is partly closed for private vehicles and subject to police camera control penalty) and expensive. Breakfast was extremely basic: poor selection, small quantity. Breakfast room is uncomfortable. Plus bizarely breakfast room is combined with working place for the hotel staff (manager of the hotel). Lift is available only for one floor. Little fridge in the room is pointless, as it doesnt work. STREET NOISE! Badly fitting Windows allow noise into the room every night until at least 3:00 am. Not a proper double bed (two single beds joined together).
The location is great, you are right in the middle of everything. The rooms are really nice, clean, and cozy.
These are just some remarks: For this price category there could be more breakfast choices. Also, if you are sensitive towards street noise it can get pretty loud in your room, which is in fact a result of the great location. Didn't bother us too much though because they also provided ear plugs. Also, the AC was not able to cool the room below 25C (77F).
I stayed a week at Florence Chic and thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was plentiful, the wifi was reliable and the location was second to none. I also felt safe as a solo traveler. I will stay here again next time I am in Florence!
Loved the service - Stefano was super helpful and very knowledgable about the dining options in Florence.
Great location. A little noisy at night but the location makes up for it.
Excellent Service very nice property as a Hotelier I highly recommend the place. Stefano and Steleiana were the perfect host and hostess! WOW location and Wow comfort ...
Only the entrance is bit confusing but sincerely who cares you are in the heart of this beautiful city - Must visit
Wonderfully comfortable bed and lovely decor good location
Noisy till early hours of morning but at least Stefano provided ear plugs
This is a great bed and breakfast. Very nice size rooms with beautiful decor. Breakfast was excellent. On a quiet street, no noise and short walk into old gown center.
It was clean and spacious. Location is good if you want to be right in the centre of things.
Overall we felt you could get better value for your money in Florence. Windows are extremely thin and let in all the outside noise - instead of installing new windows or even thick drapes, they give you earplugs. Breakfast was poor and did not have the items shown in the pictures - fruit wasn't fresh and some items were running out. Bathroom was cramped and uncomfortable. We didn't like the bed, although that might be personal preference.
The property is centrally located, so good walking distance to great local sites and short taxi ride from the airport. Accommodation was beautifully decorated and clean. The owners were really welcoming and helpful.
As with most italian properties we stayed at during our 6 week vacation, a central location has it's downside, noise. The sound of locals returning home from their night out made it challenging to sleep and once everyone is finally in bed, you can enjoy the pleasant sounds of the street sweeper. The owners are very considerate and provide ear plugs to dull the noise. It was a bit of a challenge for us but we still enjoyed our stay at Florence Chic and had we been into the party scene ourselves, we certainly would not have found this a problem.
