Carmen was very sweet and really helpful Brilliant location so convenient Venue is a bit quirky but fun! Large room very comfortable and well provided.
Room was a bit noisy as on front overlooking plaza, but as it was winter and windows were closed this wasn't too problematic. Would have liked muesli or local bread or fruit salad at breakfast
We loved the brightness, the freshness, the spaciousness, the host and the location.
Wifi not in the room. Mgr permitted use at her desk. Also no phone in room.
The property was well located, well appointed and had a charming managress called Carmen who was exceedingly helpful in all aspects. All the other reviews accurately describe the place and some of its idiosyncrocies. The place overall is both wonderful and charming.
Location The owner, Carman was so helpful. It was my daughters 30th birthday and she produced a cake and champaign on arrival. Printed boarding passes without issue. Great knowledge of were to eat and places to visit.
Good location close to Metro and the historic centre of Naples Big, airy rooms. Staff we're helpful and knowledgeable. Amazing building with fantastic history. Well worth researching to appreciate it.
Bathroom was tired but clean. Breakfast was disappointing.
Comfortable bed, huge room, quiet, excellent breakfast and hostess.
Loved the character of the building, the size of the room and the bed. Breakfast was good , with a good choice of items. On arrival we were welcomed shown to our room, and given lots of information on the area. When checking out we were able to leave cases, and was told when we return to collect them, there was a washroom available for us to use, very helpful
Our hostess was extremely helpful and friendly. She made our stay in Naples run smoothly. The room is huge with 5-meter ceiling and sofa and desk. The bed was very comfortable,a bit softer than the usual Italian mattresses, which was nice. The breakfast was abundant with homemade yogurt, cereal and fresh fruit in addition to the usual Italian cakes and pastries. Location is right on Piazza Dante with a subway stop, taxi stand, and gate into the historic district.
We found the entry to be mysterious and atmospheric, but some people might be put off by it.
Lift was really problematic - very small and difficult to get luggage into it, up some steps - furthermore, when I accidentally opened the inner door just before arriving at our designated floor, we got stuck in it. This resulted in us being shouted at by the local residents in the building for pressing the alarm button. On another occasion my husband tried to draw back the voile curtains at the patio door and the very large wooden pole that they were suspended from fell on top of him because the pole wasn't attached properly. It could have caused a serious injury. WiFi was non- existent and though we were told there was Sky tv in English - there was not. Other than proximity to the museum at Naples, we would not recommend this B&B.
central location, quietness of rooms coscidering location, space of rooms, helpfulness and friendlyness of proprietor lady
difficult to find, nothing else though
My room was effectively a 20ft cube Beautiful decor and art Carmen the boss was a joy just full of work and ambition and knowledge of all aspects of Neapolitan life
Sadly the lift was broken when I arrived and its 135 steps up to the 3rd floor!!! It was fixed the following day though
Location was great - right near historic downtown center. Hostess Carmen very helpful - you can ask her for tips on what's good to see nearby. The place itself was huge and could have comfortably slept 6+ of us (there were only 2).
Internet service was slow and sometimes didn't work at all. Difficult to make plans if you don't have them already and were counting on doing some research while there.
Great room, with good breakfast. Really good location near Dante which will take you anywhere. Near old town which is great for pizza.
20 cent fee every time you use the lift. Not the cost but inconvience.
Centrally located between the old town, museum and the port. Dante Metro on doorstep. Carmen was an absolute delight. Extremely helpful and genuinely interested and clearly enjoys what she does. As previously mentioned by other reviewers - the elevator costs 20 cents but we thought this was quaint (saved our legs at the end of the day) . Breakfast was adequate with cereals, toast, croissants, cake/biscuits, fruit, juice and coffee made fresh by Carmen. A plus to be able to utilise the kitchen and put things in fridge/freezer as well as make yourself a cuppa at night. Air con was lovely for those warm days/nights. Be aware if arriving by train and plan to catch taxi - agree on the price of the taxi before getting in or even cheaper catch metro from Garibaldi to Dante (Euro = 1.30) and the big doors to apartment block are literally diagonally across the road.
During our 3 nights the wifi was reliable except for our last night - it went out from 8pm till 9am the next morning. No way of contacting anyone with no mobile phone. Minor gripe though.
Great location. Large, clean room. Very helpful staff.
Perfect location, huge rooms!!! very friendly staff and nice breakfast.
The elevator to the 3rd from where the b&b is located costs 20 cents. If you don't have a coin handy, you'll have to take the stairs.
manager was very helpful
the lift my son got stuck in it
After a stressfull journey in Naples traffic we arrived at the B&B and found it to be a jewel in Naples! Carmen, our hosstess was carming, helpful and wonderful!! We only stayed one night but can recommend this B&B for all travellers!!!
Carmen is the perfect host !
This is a lovely place to stay, the building is beautiful, the room was huge and very comfortable. Carmen was very helpful and friendly and it's situated in a very Central and cool location.
Plenty of space.
We stayed at the weekend, lots of loud action at the piazza close by. The small door is the only way to get in at the weekend. If there is ever an emergency, to leave your room at night, it will be three locked doors to negotiate and well over one hundred stairs to walk down. Carmen, the host is charming friendly and natural. She helped us to find buses, ferries and her recommendations of places to go were excellent. She was also flexible about check out time and allowed us to leave our bags with her after check out.
The reception girl is so nice and pretty. The room is huge with second floor, perfect soft and wide bed... Also there were two sofas, so there can live 6 persons. Breakfast is small, but there were very tasty yoghurts and croissants.
It's absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to find it! The parking place is quite strange...and expensive. Hotel is situated in last floor of the builging, and has very small elevator which for you should pay 20 cents(1 coin only).
Great location, lots of atmosphere and character in the building, and a very charming and obliging host. We requested an early check-in (8:00 am) because we were arriving on the overnight train from Palermo, and this was no trouble. We were not charged, and got breakfast as well, Lovely tall room, and great view of Piazza Dante from the breakfast room.
Signage outside really needs improving, as it's by no means obvious where the B&B is (specially that it's on the 3rd floor). The quirky lift, needing 20c each ride, is a bit of a challenge. If you try and open the doors too early, it refuses to open or move and then you are stuck, unless you have another 20c piece, and not all of us do....
