Great experience. Town small enough to walk easily to interesting sites. Lovely old town. Close to Pompeii and Amalfi without being a major tourist hub. Staff of Burger at greated us on the street the next day. Great personal service. The Grand Hotel was excellent. Great location near the train station and friendly helpfull staff.

1 day in Salerno was too long.
1 day in Salerno was too long. There were a lot of homeless and sketchy people. It was like the Newark of Italy...filthy. It didn't even feel like we were in Italy until we got to the old part of town. But, we didn't feel safe here either.

A beautiful town with lots of attractions, cafes and restaurants especially in the city centre. Recommended to be visited during the Holiday Season because of the famous Christmas lighting throughout the whole city

Salerno is a great location for shopping, sightseeing.
Salerno is a great location for shopping, sightseeing. Easy travel to Pompei, Herculaneum by bus or train. The harbour trips give access to Amalfi (a great town but it has many hills), you can take a day trip to Capri, Positano by boat as they run regularly. Salerno has many good shops, bars, restaurants and the Old Town is worth going to see.

I found Salerno Prestige and it was the best thing that happened to me and made my stay in Italy better than anticipated. I plan to return in January and will book my stay once I've scheduled my flight!
I would agree with the other reviews. The host is super nice, the facilities are good and it is nice and clean. The location is very good close to the ferries and train station, restaurants etc. Salerno is a nice city with little tourists. Travelling to Amalfi by boat is great and taking the train to Pompeii, Rome, Naples or other big cities it easy, cheap and efficient. I highly recommend Salerno and this B&B which is more like a small hotel. We stayed as a couple with our 6 year boy.
I had a fantastic stay at the accommodation in Salerno. The host was awesome and helpful, and gave me great tips to visit the best places in Salerno. The location was perfect, close to everything I wanted to see and do. The room was super luxury and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a modern bathroom. I felt like I was in a five-star hotel. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great place to stay in Salerno. Thank you for the amazing experience!
Everything: the room was very clean and had all we needed for a travelling family with pets including a balcony; the beds were very comfortable; the location was good, with walking distance to the lungomare and free parking space next to the b&b; the air conditioning was great too. The host was very nice, easy to reach, easy to talk to and very accomodating. It was very nice finding water in the fridge and coffee. If we ever come back to Salerno we’ll stay there again for sure.
Location : Right opposite to the Salerno Train Station. Just 2-3 mins walk from the station. Salerno Concordia is right at the back of the hotel. Just a 10 mins walk and you can catch your ferries/boats to Positano, Amalfi and other places. The promenade is right next to Salerno Concordia.
Rooms : Quite big with high ceilings. AC and Wi-Fi were good.
Breakfast : Pretty decent English Breakfast with enough options
The flat is on the main street. All the shops and restaurants are at your door and also is next to a supermarket. They provided us with breakfast and when we didn't wake up on time, they left it for us which was super nice. They also provided us with coffee and some sweet snacks in the room. Very nice and clean. We would like to stay in the same place in our next visit to Salerno and I would definitely recommend it
Location of the hotel is perfect. It is very safe, located on a walking plaza filled with shopping, restaurants, cafe's, etc. It is across from the train station which was ideal for getting back to Rome to fly home. Ferries to the Amalfi coast were easily accessible and a few minute walk. I would much rather stay in Salerno than fighting the crowds and cost of the Amalfi coast. Breakfast was excellent.
Hotel Montestella was an easy, short walk (level ground, 8-10 minutes) from the train station on the main road through the town. Our room was clean and comfortable and also offered a large balcony with a city view. The breakfast was good with many options including hot food choices. Don’t miss the Cathedral of Salerno dedicated to Saint Mathew with its elaborately decorated crypt dedicated to the saint.
Thank you for such a great stay in Salerno. Warm welcome and a fantastic spacious apartment. Great old building and entrance hall was beautiful. Everything we needed and more. Great location for the old town and super close to the harbour and train station. Will definitely recommend and we’ll be back for sure!!!
The owner is great
Free parking on a nearby street. You can stop right at the entrance for some time to move luggage
A supermarket nearby
Walking distance to the beach, great restaurants and ice cream places
Everything we needed was there and ready. Probably the best place we slept at during our Italy roadtrip
Very nice thematic B&B/mini-hotel. We had the Japan-room but the whole apartment was very nice. Shared living-room/breakfastroom was excellent and location wise you are in the centre of Salerno. Breakfast was excellent and served by a very nice 'nonna di casa' with home-baked cakes.
The bed and breakfast is right in the heart of Salerno; very close to the train and ferry stations which makes it easy to move around. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Gabriella was amazing; she helped us with everything. The restaurants she recommended were very good!
Bed was super comfy and the shower was really nice even though the drain needed to be cleaned. Awesome location so close to the train station and very walkable to all the restaurants. Go to Mama Rosa’s and Punto Freddos gelato! Best gelato in Italy and the most affordable as well.
Comfortable, clean and well equipped room. Perfect location for exploring Salerno centro storico, pedestrian street for shopping and restaurants, and the lungomare. Attentive staff (Marianna was always available if we needed something). Petramare is a also a great value.
The apartment is great! The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. The location is more than perfect in a great part of Salerno close to everything from bars and restaurants to the shopping street, attractions and the lungomare. I highly recommend it!
The property was extremely clean, very comfortable, and very well air conditioned. The hosts were absolutely delightful! They really took care of my mother and me. Though we only stayed one night, it was a welcome sanctuary during our road trip of Italy.
Very nicely located at Salerno`s main broadwalk, near the train station, ferry stations and old city center, restaurants and stores. Good breakfast and spacious room/bathroom size. Wifi is stable and available everywhere in the hotel.
Beautiful Villa with a spectacular view of
Salerno and the bay. Excellent location ..few steps down into town. Everything about the hotel is just perfect ..rooms, restaurant, pool, gardens and wonderful, welcoming family atmosphere.
Staff was so kind.
Location is not good, because it is far away from Salerno centre station(2 station). But it’s good for me, so it’s quiet around the hotel.
And i was glad that there was champagne in refrigerator.
The best apartment we stayed in on our 3-week trip. Maria is a superstar and so kind. Do yourself a favor and stay here. Salerno is life in Italy and is seriously underrated.
