B&B Anfiteatro  

Very reasonably priced apartment within the historic walls of Lucca. Great location and charming city. We loved it!

the staff were less than accomodating. We stayed two nights and they did not come to tidy the room after the first night. When I pointed out this fact to them, instead of apologizing and getting on with things they went on the defensive which was really unnecessary and really quite offensive. I will not be returning there despite the fact that I go to Lucca at least 3-4 times a year.

Very helpful staff, central location, beautiful bedrooms.-do not be put off by the slightly scruffy interior, the interior is a delight! excellent breakfast>

Was noisy on one night,-the side facing bedrooms overlook a bar, perhaps ask for a bedroom in the back? No control over the heating,-went on and off erratically, operated remotely.

Staff was very friendly. Very clean and amazing shower and bathroom for price on Europe standards. Great breakfast. Excellent location.

Don't know if the staff understand how booking.com work so.was a bit of confusion when leaving. Great stay though.

Being inside an "ancient", walled city was thrilling. The B&B's location was fabulous for strolling, investigating and shopping. We found Lucca to feel safe and friendly, with fine shopping and dining options. The staff were friendly, competent and helpful in their assigned tasks.

Getting luggage to the B&B was painstaking! Recommended parking was inconvenient and distant, and there was no staff help in accomplishing this feat. Occasional less-than-hot showers were had, but not totally cold.

We rented an apartment and it was very nice with wood beams and a large living room dining room area.

Not enough light in the apartment. Need more lamps in it because it is a dark apartment.

The apartment was perfect size for our family. Great location in town, overlooking the piazza, easy access to everything. Host was very friendly. Breakfast was great.

The place was charming, friendly people, clean room and the breakfast was nice. Good location and good value for money.

Entrance needs renovation and the noise coming from the breakfast room is annoying.

What isnt there to like in this quaint little medieval town? The food, the shopping, the architecture, the wall surrounding the town, it was very quaint. The staff at the B&B were friendly and even served the breakfast for us. The rooms were modern,newly renovated and spacious. Beautifully decored. So affordable!!

We like the breakfast v. much!! lots of variety and good services. The dining room is also very homey. The staff also let us try some authentic cake from Lucca. Room is simple but the toilet is clean and modern. V.nice!!

maybe a bit far from bus and train station, but lucca is a small town anyhow.

location, breakfast and restaurant next door!

Staff was excellent

Very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Owner also owns a restaurant very nearby with excellent food. We stayed 2 years ago in same place and owner Luca, remembered us and gave us free glasses of wine when we met him in the restaurant.

The b&b is centrally located in a beautiful street surrounding the back of the Amphiteatre. Hence my pictures are great despite the rain.The friendliness of the staff as well as the owner is very accomodating. The room decoration is very pleasant and the breakfast is great! I had great food in 3 Merle, the restaurant of the owner next door, and LOste de Lucca . I also enjoyed the hour of opera in the Auditorium of S Giovanni. A real recommendation.

The B & B was great, the staff was friendly and accommodating and the location was great in the old city.

Staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely. Close to piazza and shopping. Loved that you could sit in dining room and make tea whenever you wanted to.

Beds were a bit hard and lumpy.

Friendliness of staff, as much coffee as you could drink, central location, good eateries nearby.

No loo roll holder so loo roll on floor. No mirror in bedroom. Beds a little hard - not enough padding on mattress. When I asked about a mirror nothing was offered. Room not cleaned for 3 days, then when it was (after requesting by us) a nightdress and flannel were scooped up with the dirty linen. (later returned to us at or request) Not enough towel rails or shelves/hooks. Room a bit cramped for 2 single people
