Pienza is a beautiful village, the Val d'Orcia is breathtaking. We were welcomed by Paola, who is a magnificent ambassador for the property, she really made us feel incredibly welcome. The restaurant was also excellent, we had a fantastic dinner. We came off season, (March) which added to the tranquility. I think you would come here to enjoy a quiet, peaceful retreat, and it is a nice base to explore the Tuscan wine region.
A former theatre, Hotel San Gregorio is 50 metres from Pienza’s historical centre and near the Val d'Orcia Natural Park. The property offers free WiFi, covered parking and spacious accommodation.

Stylish place with the classic Tuscany views. Facing the Gladiator movie final scene spot. We watched the movie in the cozy living room on Netflix on our second night.
Friendly and helpful staff. Nice breakfast, very good location.

Pienza is small but has an excellent selection for dining.
Pienza is small but has an excellent selection for dining. Sight seeing in town is somewhat limited but affords terrific views over Val d'Orcia. If you like Pecorino cheese, you have to visit the shops in Pienza. Quick bite, try Pizzeria Pummaro near gate into old center. For charm and quality meal try Pane Vino & Zucchero. For all round the Trattoria la Buca Delle Fate is good. For a good hike outside of town, don't stop at the spot where they shot the Gladiator scene, keep going.

Pienza has one main street which means it can feel crowded when a relatively small number of people visit. There is limited free parking which is also used by residents.
There are a variety of small shops which mostly sell typical regional products. There is an abundance of Pecorino and hams. It is possible to buy a range of different quality of jewelry. There are also a few clothes shops.
There is a beautiful panoramic walk on the entrance from the North.
The town is blessed with a variety of restaurants and bars which are mostly tradition Tuscan food. There are also at least two ice cream shops.
The market takes place on Friday. In October there are a number of events such as the chocolate festival which means it gets very crowded on the weekend. There are limited public services such as clean bathrooms.
I limited the amount of time that I visited the town during my week long stay mainly due to access to parking. You have to pay 24/7 which is a problem for evening meal when travelling alone in the dark at a parking meter.

We utilised Pienza as a base from which to explore various towns within the Val D'Orcia, a world heritage area. We could have stayed longer to visit more towns and explore mountain biking trails. Pienza in itself is clean, beautifully restored, has chic dining spots and it was a privilege to have visited.

Pienza is now one of our favourite destinations in Tuscany.
Pienza is now one of our favourite destinations in Tuscany. We have visited San Gimignano, Siena, Monteriggioni. Montepulcino whilst travelling by car and have found Pienza to be so pretty and enjoyable to be in. Parking was easy to navigate and the laneways of Pienza were quiet and so charming. The walkway/lookout side of the town provided vistas that you would hope for. Pienza is also quite close to those classic Tuscan scenes/photos that you may have seen previously.

I loved absolutely everything about this place.
I loved absolutely everything about this place. From location, to comfort, to the friendliest host (Tommaso) ever. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore the Tuscan country side. It is close to Pienza and many other attractions and is just a gem of a place.
it looks much beautiful live than in pictures. lovely place, with a great staff, who have tried to help us with all what we needed.
A big like, because the hotel put at your disposal bottles of still water and you would not have worried from where you can buy water in the middle of Tuscany, mostly in the evening.
great wines at the Palazzo and a lovely pool which could be used by all guests accomoated at the 2 facilities of the property.
we would definetely like to come back. our space was Salvia, 2 beds in 2 rooms.
Peaceful, beautiful grounds around the hotel. Staff and very attentive, booking a wine tour at a local winery with added discount :) Breakfast was delicious, especially the juices :) made with all local products. Ate dinner every night during our 3 nights as was easy to enjoy wine without driving home. Be sure to get some wine, cheese at local town in Pienza, 15 min drive and enjoy on hotel grounds by the pool while watching the sunset, spectacular!
I consider myself very lucky to have been able to stay in this place. Everything was good in a quiet town. The staff was kind, the room was large and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and nice like a hotel. In particular, the homemade breakfast was fresh, nice, and delicious. I went for a walk to the middle of Pienza early in the morning, and I was really happy because the surrounding scenery was so beautiful. I am very satisfied
The property is located in the heart of Tuscany at a beautiful hill top minutes to a charming little town Pienza. The Agriturismo itself has a gorgeous garden that was perfect for lounging. The items included in the breakfast basket is sufficient for a quick meal in the morning. One can find plenty of nice restaurants in Pienza with good value. It’s also within driving distance to many Tuscan winery.
Best place to stay at in Pienza and all around! The hotel is beautiful! The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is the best I’ve seen. I always hate breakfasts in hotels and this one was really good! The rooms were spacious and very clean. And we found free parking around the corner on the left side of the hotel (if you are looking right at the hotel).
The location was perfect. Because we were just outside the walls of Pienza and not within the city, we had so much more space, including outdoor space. The views were phenomenal as well. We were able to spot and watch wildlife from our porch, including a family of wild boar, deer, and various birds. The rooms were very spacious and had ample room for the 6 of us.
Great location, few minutes walking from Pienza old town and all restaurants there.
Hotel has the best possible view, also from the tarrace where tasty breakfast is served - over the Tuscan valley.
Staff is very friendly, positive and helpful, even organized us great trip to nice small winery, with walk though spectacular valleys and preordered taxi back.
Andrea was an amazing, responsive and personable host who took the time upon check–in to give us loads of advice about things to see in the local area. His lovely, recently renovated apartment is in a super location in Pienza and is well–equipped, cosy and delightful. We loved our stay here and the time we spent in this beautiful part of Tuscany.
It was amazingly beautiful and relaxing. Close to Pienza, but with the benefits of being in the quiet countryside. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet each morning. And it was nice to have wine when we returned in the evenings.
Absolutely beautiful location, right in the heart of beautiful Pienza. Huge townhouse with plenty of room for us to spread out in our own rooms with our own bathrooms. I genuinely wish we could have stayed longer; I would love to return to this home!!
Amazing location very close to Pienza. The property itself is really beautiful with great views. The pool was such a blessing to have in the heat of the summer. The location for breakfast was idyllic and the picnic baskets were a lovely, sweet touch.
The best breakfast we had in our two weeks in Italy. An astounding choice of high quality pastries, Italian meats/cheeses, and Christina is a true gem of a hostess—very eager to be helpful, very cheerful and gracious.
Well located hotel in Pienza with a great breakfast full of local foods clean rooms and a pleasant staff. Easy parking, good WIFI, and a pool! We enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and evening strolls in the old town.
The view over the valley from the room, terasse and pool is just amazing and makes you fall in love with Tuscany. The staff is super friendly and engaged and with the little courtyard is a paradise in busy Pienza.
Very comfortable, quiet modern hotel. Parking on-site and easy. A short flat walk into the old part of Pienza. The breakfast buffet was good. Pienza is a cute, small old town and the walking is flat.
The hotel was very clean. The rooms spacious. The staff friendly. Breakfast was excellent. The location is very close to the Centro.
To us it seems Hotel Corsignano thought of every little detail.
A fantastic small hotel in the heart of the town. Perfect for a short visit and everything in the room etc. was of a very high standard and quality. Would absolutely stay again if ever in Pienza.
