Great service! Clean, nicely furnished, great price quality, in the center. The ownership was recently changed, so the reviews about dirty rooms etc are true according to the new owner, but obviously they took over to change things for the better!! Great location.
Great location in the older part of Cagliari, stylishly decorated
We stayed here twice during our stay in Sardinia. We had requested a twin room well in advance but on arrival in the 1st instance we were given a double room. When we queried this we were told no double room was available. The owner then tried to charge us more for the stay than the booking.com price and only backed down when we argued that we were not given the room we asked for. The room in itself was nice but it was possible to hear guests in the adjoining room and vice versa due there being a feature gap in the wall between the 2 rooms high up. We also had issues claiming the 'complimentary' breakfast. When we arrived at the cafe they would not accept our guest house reciept as we were supposed to have been given a card by the owner that we never received. As the guesthouse is not staffed 24/7 we could not go back and ask and instead were put in the uncomfortable position of arguing with some very rude cafe staff. On our second stay we had booked for just one night before an early morning flight. When we arrived, the owner told us there was a problem with our room and that we were to stay in his friend's guest house. Although very stylish on first glances, we were kept awake all night, first by a toilet with a continual flush and then by some guest in the room above us due to the thin floorboards, and finally by drunken guests shrieking and shouting until 4am in the morning. Not the owner of B&Bs Garibaldi's fault, but unacceptable and worth considering if you are staying and offered this alternative accommodation.
The room wasn't worth the price at all, the bathroom door doesn't close, no air in the room, the view from the room was at two tall walls in the balcony, we couldn't sit on the balcony because the chairs were black from dirt and dust, no toiletries (although we paid for them), breakfast very poor (one croissant and a coffee) at a nearby coffee bar. Wouldn't recommend this place.
Great location the manager/owner was not on site but we were 2 hours early and he came within 10 minutes Clean Decent shower air con hair dryer very reasonably priced
Little niggly things that would drive you mad if you stayed longer than one night. 1.The toilet roll kept slipping off the holder 2. No shower gel in the container 3. The curtain did not fit across the bathroom window so people could see in The bedroom is completely enclosed without windows. Any one suffering from claustrophobia would be in trouble.
The B&B is in a great location in a bustling street close to shops and restaurants. It was comfortable and tastefully decorated with good wifi connection. The owner was helpful on our second visit in ordering us a taxi to the airport.
On both visits we had requested a twin room but were given a double and told a twin was not available. On the 1st visit wewere not given the correct card needed to claim the breakfast at a local cafe and were put in the awkward situation of arguing with the rude waiter there over receiving the breakfast. On our 2nd visit we were put up in a different B&B due to problems at Garibaldi. It was a lovely B&B but we were kept awake all night by the fact that you could hear everything in the other rooms including people going to the toilet! Completely not the fault of the owner of Garibaldi, but worth bearing in mind if you are offered this alternative accommodation
-Poor room conditions, everything almost improvised -No proper wardrobe for cloths and shirts -Breakfast very poor and outside of the house in a crowded cafe. -Dark room -Noisy room due to the lot of AC units outside -Credit card use complicated -Communication with the owner only mobile -Payement immediately at the arrive
Breakfast was perfect. It was really close to the old city in the centre of Cagliari. Free wifi, running fast.
We haven't seen the owner during whole stay. No one was on the reception to help us. Communication just by email. Door lock was broken, it was hard to open it. Bathroom wall was mouldy.
rooms are nice
we had to phone that somebody came and opened the bnb. receptionarea a bit messed, had a coffeemachine but no coffee for using it. beds were very very soft. cagliari is just nice for shopping. rest is not nice, lots of homeless people. not a place to stay longer!
Stylish room, friendly staff, located in a very convinient area.
Breakfast too litle....
NO staff on place. Poor breakfast, missing coffee for everyone. ( 1 piece of cake, juice, 1 croissant and coffee) Rooms are filled with smell of the lavatory.
We reserved B&B Garibaldi but the owner offered us place at MyHome Guesthouse. The room was fantastic, very cosy, tidy and had a seaview. The owner was extremely helpful and showed us best gelateria in Cagliari (at via Oristano). Ciao!
Great location - room well decorated .... Fairly new
Was new about year or so - Starting to get dirty; not properly cleaned. Breakfast disgusting - cheap pre-packaged soggy pastry and a dry jam tart just left at front - no plates even. Shower gel ran out on first day not replaced despite leaving bottle out. Tatty broken furniture in courtyard outside window - why doesn't he just chuck it out? Overall a place of great potential sadly neglected now
Unique decor and excellent location in the heart of Cagliari. Walking distance to everything, including the marina, bus stop and train station.
Bed was pretty hard and the pillows were very flat, which is common to Italy, I have learned. The bathroom had a strange odor from the sink. Breakfast was minuscule. Store bought croissants and pod machine coffee. On the last day, we decided to go to cafe antico and Francesco was there and he gave us vouchers for breakfast. I guess you have to request them for the other days. The airport shuttle was a taxi. It was convenient, but cost 20€. We took the train back to the airport for €1.25 each.
Very cold in this time of the year, musty air, hard to breath, smelly bathroom. we stayed 4 nights and they did not clean the room once. Could not pay with card, only cash, very poor breakfast, only coffee and a croissant. we did not have wifi signal in our room, much too expensive for the the services they offered.
everything was very good! cosy house in the center!
a slight smell occured from bathroom but it is normal in old houses
We liked this place for good location - middle of Cagliari center. It is beautifully decorated, cozy and administration is nice. Good value for the price!
