Only booked in for one night but this B&B was excellent. Location very central, the staff were lovely, made sure we had all the info we needed and the roof terrace was wonderful to sit in the sun in the evening and the morning for breakfast. It is on the 4th floor so not that easy to find, however a gentleman from the building showed us the way to the reception. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely book this B&B again

The Residenza Giotto was charming and the staff amazing. My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights and were spoiled. The Firenza ambience came alive with the help of our hosts, Sylvia and Barbara. They were great while assisting us in every way; preparing cappuccinos in the morning, providing restaurant recommendations/reservations, and helpful directions throughout the city. The rooftop veranda was fabulous as we felt we could reach out and touch the Duomo and Campanile. Having coffee to begin our day and a bottle of wine to end it, the veranda was a beautiful retreat. The B&B was very clean and efficient.

My only complaint was the shower. It had no sides with only a drain and shower curtain. Not really an inconvenience. You just have to determine the best way to shower with the removable shower head without dousing the entire bathroom.

    Staff was very helpful

Terrace view was overrated. Access to rooms is a hassle with luggage. No hair dryer in room. Tiny shower. Strange smell in bathroom. Decor did not match images online, was much more sparse and synthetic/cheap looking. Overall dark and unwelcoming. Central location did not outweigh negatives.

We had such a warm welcome when we arrived. Sylvia we could have adopted you, you were so good to us and we loved our time staying at Giotto. The location was excellent and we enjoyed the music festival which lulled us to sleep at night... so special our stay in Florence.

Location could not be better. Barbara and Silvia were very friendly and helpful. We will be back.

Next time will ask for a room on back. Front room could be loud at night.

The location could not have been better. The king size bed was very comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast included healthy choices and the coffee excellent. Enjoyed the breakfast out on the terrace with spectacular view.

Though the bathroom was updated and worked perfectly, it would have been nice if it could have been larger.

Fantastic central location, very helpful staff, special thanks to Sylvia whom we saw most, rooms and public areas very clean, limited breakfast was perfect for us excellent coffee, orange juice, yogurts, good quality bread and jams, small selection of cheese and ham, the terrace had a terrific outlook over the Duomo and was great for breakfast, we also used the terrace for a quick lunch break and also glass of wine before heading out for dinner, loved the informal feel of this b&b.

    no negative points at all

very friendly and helpful staff, location is good, right next to duomo. balcony and the terrace is fine, as if it is not a hotel but your own italian home :)

church bells wake you up at 7 am, than at 8, than at 9 :) the bath only has curtain, so it gets wet everywhere, a little problematic :/ breakfast is weak, but they make good cappucino ;)

Great central location (minus loud bells each hour from nearby church). Nice enough staff.

Uncomfortable beds. Hair all over bathroom, and on sheets and blankets. Overall musty/ dusty smell of room.

The location - just round the corner from the Duomo: from the terrace there was a clear view to the Duomo, Baptistry and the Campanile. The room was very good, well furnished and with plenty of space. The staff couldn't have been more helpful; they suggested possible places to eat - we only went to one of them, which was so outstanding (and good value) that we went back.

Nothing, really. I could imagine that in poor weather the breakfast facilities might be a bit crowded, but in fine weather (which we had) we could sit out on the terrace.

Outstanding view from the terrace and an ideal location for the city. The staff is outstanding!!!

Very, very small shower. I would recommend removing the shower stall and using a curtain for more ease of movement. I had to open the door to shave my legs and I'm a small lady.

Silvia who we met on arrival was wonderful helping us with parking arrangements for our car . She made reservations for us at a wonderful restaurant on the opposite side of the Arno river where we had the best meal in Florence. Excellent cappuccino for Breakfast on the terrace facing the Duomo wow what a view. The location is absolutely fantastic

Breakfast a little skimpy. B&B is located on the fourth floor and god help you if the elevator is not working. Total of 108 steps..

    Location---style---comfort--friendly---very giving and helpful.

Checking in was abit of a trick. In the future email your bookings to come op to the fourth floor and hit hard on the door or be prepared to call ahead a few minutes before.

Location was perfect. Walking distance from the train station. Loved the ability to sit outside for breakfast and take in the sights, smells and sounds. Staff were very friendly, kind and helpful for all requests including taking care of our bookings at the local museums and restaurants. Set up for 2 adults and 1 child in room was perfect.
