The hotel is at 15 minutes walk from the Colliseum. The room although a bit small is furnished with style and provides all the necessary commodities, kept clean and tidy. The hostess was more than helpful and nice. The breakfast is abundant and nice.
The room is not so well sound-proofed.
The location was great, 5 minutes from Metro Line A, 15 minutes walk from Colosseum. Our hostess, Julia a delight, so friendly and helpful. Breakfast more than adequate. Accommodation very comfortable and peaceful. Nearby Restaurant recommended by Julia, really cheap, good food and wine (8€ a bottle!)
The room was very big and very clean. The location was splendid as it was next to metro station and 10 minutes walking to Colosseum. The help of Juliana was very useful and all the people working were very friendly.
The breakfast was good but should be enriched (with something made by an bakery or something handmade, if possible)
The owner , Iuliana, was the most friendliest person you could want to meet. We had a late flight but she was still there to welcome us. We had an early start the next day so straight away she offered us our breakfast to put in the fridge for the next day. The room was beautiful. Very clean, location fantastic. 2 mins walk to metro. We were given advice for getting around. Nothing seemed too much trouble. Would recommend thoroughly to anyone wanting to stay in rome.
Host, location, busy area but calm apartment. Great experience
We stayed for 4 nights so a bit variety in Breakfast would help. Not much of an issue though. We will come again.
- The room was excelent. - Everything was very clean and tidy. - Treatment received by Iuliana was perfect. - If I went back to Rome very probably I'd repeat this B&B
- A little bit noisy, the room's windows were pretty close from street, so you have to close the windows at night if you want to sleep a little bit more.
Extremely kind host and nice room service, very very good choice to live here!
Lovely modern room, nicely decorated. Juliana and Serena were extremely helpful and generous. Good location, 3 minute walk to station and 1 minute to buses which take you to centre of town within 10 minutes.
- extremely kind and affable hostess - excellent safety and privacy - clean and convenient room
careless guest like me could miss the important notice on the changing rule for towel
Good and safe location in a charming building with elevator/lift. Location is near bus stops and metro station -- very easy to navigate. 30mins walk to the Colosseo and 5mins walk to San Giovanni Basilica. Spacious and clean rooms facing the courtyard, very quiet and nice view. Rooms are equipped with safe, hairdryer, mini refrigerator, portable aircon, and TV. Iulia is a great host! She is very hospitable and easily approachable. Quick to reply to emails. She will even adjust her schedule to accomodate your needs. Thank you Iulia! -- Ana
Location Owner was helpful Value
Breakfast really bad Bedding Super hard pillows
The location is great, only 15 mins walking distance to Colosseo and 5 mins walk to San Giovanni Train station. Iuliana is the nicest owner for our travel experience, she will give you all you need to know about Roma, best advise to manage your trip over there. she is such approachable, she even came to open the kitchen earlier than usual when she knew we were checking out earlier the last day, make sure we feel like staying at our own home. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is interested travelling to Roma. we are also looking forward travel to there again and meet Iuliana.
In general and for this price it was very good compared to other hotels. Iuliana, the responsible person, was very helpful and caring. The pillow I had was hard, so I just told Iuliana on the first day and she gave me another two to see which one is better. She also brings the breakfast in the morning into the room, and if you need more to eat, she will bring more. The breakfast was ok. The kitchen was closed when Iuliana was not there (maybe for security resons), but we didn't really need the kitchen. Our room was clean and enough for a place to rest after a long day seeing Roma. Remember, this is not a 5 stars hotel, but also much much better than some 4 stars hotel I have been to.
Just a comment: Our room we had was on the main street. If you open the window, it will be loud. But with a closed window, we didn't hear much from the noise outside. But there are also other rooms, which are on the quite garden side.
The bed was comfortable, the air cooler was just perfect, and the in-room bathroom was perfect! Our hostess Iuliana was welcoming and made us feel like family!
Our host Juliana we feel is almost like a daughter...we hope she will come and stay with us in California...her attention to detail and our happiness was of the highest regard and the best we had in Italy...our sweetheart and good friend now...we miss her and know that all guest that arrive on her doorstep will be treated with the utmost professionalism and care...we love you ...you are the best J& J from California
Owner was amazing very helpful upgraded our room & couldn't be more helpful, location was great close to what we wanted, room was huge& very clean, many places to eat close by excellent
- Julia was very helpful and looked after us very well during our brief stay - Room was clean, modern and comfortable - Tea/breakfast facilities were very good
- Although this suited our purposes for a quick stop-over, for a family with 2 or more young children, may not be suitable for a lengthy stay, but perfect for a couple on a budget.
First off we liked the personal attention of Iuliana and Sorina. Our location was in the Ancient Rome neighborhood and close to all forms of transportation. It made access to all ancient Rome sites and to the Vatican easy. This is not a touristy or main traffic area. The B & B has a gated atrium area as you enter which gave us a welcoming and secure feeling. The owner, iuliana treated us very special and went out of her way to make our stay one to remember. She touched our hearts!!
Slept okay but bed and pillow a little too firm for one of the two of us.
The location of the place is really convenient. About 2 min walking from a metro station and 10-15 min walking from the Coliseum. We usually came back to the hotel late at night and the area felt pretty safe. There is even a little market right beside Casa Di Silvia that closes at 11:30 p.m!!! However, the best part of the hotel is the owner. Iuliana really goes far and beyond to help you and make you feel comfortable. We arrived at the hotel past midnight and she was there to help us settle in and even gave us food and drinks. Every morning she is there with a smile to serve breakfast and help with anything you need. She keeps the place really clean and neat and you can see her little touches all over the place! Great place to stay!
B&B Casa Di Silvia is only 5 min walk from subway station. It is close enough to the major attractions so that you can walk to them but far enough from the heart so you can have some peace and quiet. It's about 15min leisure walk to the Colosseum. The host Giulia is very friendly and helpful. She gave us great directions on places that we have to go to. Helped us organize ride to the airport. The bathroom facility is very clean. I would stay here again if I come back to Rome.
The wifi in our room can be unstable at times.
We like the owner, Iuliana, she made our stay very comfortable and gave us a lot of information. Breakfast was very good.
Julia was friendly.
The A/C unit inside the room was making a lot of noise which hardly would allow you to sleep.Besides it didn't work properly and the room was always warm. There was no Wi-Fi in the property and we had to go to the backyard to be able to use it. We had a quadruple room but there were room only for two chairs and a very small table which hardly two people could have breakfast on.The breakfast was prepared by Julie in a tray and you had to take it to the room and wait for tea or coffee. Two people at a time and the other two later. The bathroom was smelly and awful.
Casa di Silvia was a great oasis in a chaotic, exhausting Rome. The owner is fantastic - probably the best hospitality we had the whole time in Rome - showing us on the map exactly where to go, arguing with the rental car company in Italian for us when we needed help, and always with a big smile. Big breakfast - not gourmet but filling, great bathrooms, really nice rooms. She told us to make ourselves at home, and it did feel that way!
The location was ok but not great - a little off the tourist path. The setup (rooms off a main hallway) meant that you could sometimes hear other guests in the hallway, but it wasn't really a problem.
Giulia was amazing! The sweetest host and always so helpful! Gave us tips for getting around and helped one of the girls we were traveling with get to the beach using public transportation. She truly wanted you to feel at home while staying there.
Location is a bit far from St. Peters and the Vatican but using the metro is easy enough!
Had such a lovely time staying at Casa di Silvia. Giulia was exceptionally lovely and accommodating - she waited for almost 2 hours for us to arrive after we had travel delays! The room was always clean and comfortable and if you are looking for a convenient location, the B&B is only a 20 minute walk to the colosseum or 5 min to the A line metro station. If you have any questions about the place, email Giulia before hand and will be most helpful. Also try the place Simonetta that was recommended to us round the corner- amazing authentic Italian food with an atmosphere to match! Thanks Giulia for making our stay in Rome so comfortable!
