lovely property in the middle of the Chianti vineyards, friendly staff, good recommendations for day trips, nice breakfast, good coffee, wonderful view, value for money.
check directions before getting there for the GPS only took us to the beginning of the stree..
great location, interesting property, good breakfast
wifi not working and they could not fix it
The setting in the Tuscan countryside, a lovely swimming pool and a wonderful breakfast.
As other reviewers have said, it's very hard to find. It's not actually on the road given in the address, but very far down a side road. The signs in the village are extremely confusing. Decent travel directions when booking would sort this out.
No tea/coffee facility in room
We loved the peace and quiet, the surroundind veiws from this beautiful home were outstanding. Although we didnt have transport in the area we relished the wonderful pool with veiws to die for. Our host, although not too proficient with the English language was such a kind and helpful gentle man, who went out of his way picking us up at the bus station and also delivering us back although he was busy cooking his delicious breakfast, also delivered to us on the magnificent decks overlooking the valleys of grapes and olives, wonderful*#
Unfortunately the small fridge in the room was very noisy, we unplugged it while we slept, otherwise fabulous
I booked this hotel literally an hour before arriving, and was warmly welcomed by Simone as if I'd held the reservation for a month! The entire experience was incredible - the views and service are unmatched. Breakfast on the terrace was great, as well! I will definitely be back!!!
There was nothing I didn't like! It was all incredible.
This was our first trip to Europe. We traveled to several other countries before our final week in Tuscany. This location, establishment, breakfast, cleaning folks, and owners were AMAZING! Although Simone the owner did not speak much English, his son Matteo spoke enough to answer questions we might have had. The room, view and location was breathtaking! I would recommend this villa to anyone! We loved it! Thank you again Simone and Matteo, we miss you already. Hope to visit again soon!!! Michelle and Scott Earich
WiFi was hard to connect to. Ask them to reset router and you will get reception.
La Fonte del Machiavelli was a beautiful place to stay! I loved every minute there and hope to return again some day.
The view And pool area is perfect very relaxingand quiet, very good breakfast with AWESOME Coffee with mist stunning view
No water water in the room or possibility to get it in the. You need a car to fully enjoy your stay.
The whole Tuscany experience we had here was amazing and the view during breakfast every morning was mesmerising. I would advise this BnB to anyone, the only thing you will need is transport in/out as it is a little remote.
wi fi was a bit weak in our room, this didn't affect our stay in anyway.
The staff of the hotel and the town around the hotel. Especially the restaurant and museum Villa Machiavell. Right at the entrance road to the hotel.
The grounds needed attention. Getting run down looking. The place needs lots of weeding and yard clean up and repair of fountains.
Excellent location to visit Tuscany, cozy accommodation, breathtaking views, friendly hosts. Definitely recommend.
Excellent location and friendliness. Good breakfast and breath taking view
Almost no water pressure at all, and only warm water In shower
The terrace and east-side rooms have a great view on the valley. The hosts speak little English but they are very kind. Cold breakfast but excellent capuccino. Our room Leonardo was charming: high ceilings with wooden beams, bricks and arches. Nice bathroom but be patient with water pressure.
The B&B is not on Via Scopeti. You need to follow a narrow lane (dark at night) for 550 meters. The GPS coordinates on Via Scopeti are 43.682669, 11.197464 then follow the signs.
One of the nicest place in my life! I loved it very much!
Scenery was breath taking.
the location is beautiful, and pretty good, 25 mins from florence, but a bit hard to find and remote. The service was good, very nice guy, very helpful, but doesn't speak english. breakfast was good and fresh.
room was a bit small, and not fancy, water were not hot enough but fair, and the heat worked on and off. the room was not enough lit.
great place in the country nice view awesome breakfast !!!
difficult to reach problems with internet room is small
Proximity to Florence, the local surroundings and town are beautiful, the restaurant at the top of the road is great and very accommodating. Breakfast on the terrace (albeit with a few wasps) is fantastic
Slightly difficult to find, best to get exact GPS coordinates. Just w word of warning, there is an unpaved road for last part of journey but that is what you get if you want somewhere peaceful but so close. It is worth it
Absolutely loved our 2nd floor room with a window looking over the valley. Just what we wanted - a peaceful stay away from big cities yet only 20 minutes away.
Need to post great driving directions since most travellers will arrive by car.
Simone & his son were wonderful hosts! We very much enjoyed our stay & what a beautiful B&B. the view is breathtaking & the area is so relaxing and quiet.
Dedicated staff, good breakfast, very good location
The location of the B&B is excellent. Close to Florence and around the corner the Chianti winehouses. Besides the views from the place are great. The swimming pool was nice, and is a plus.
Breakfast was very basic. We were in a room in the house of the owners, with a locked door seperating us. We could hear them talk, not very good for our privacy. The owners could not tell us much about the things to do in the surroundings, or directed us to mediocre places. The real treasures you have to find out yourself (eg. restaurants) via internet or asking around. The rooms are basic.
