Set in a 15th-century building in the historic center of Siena, B&B San Francesco is right across from the Bruco Fountain, a 5-minute walk from Piazza del Campo. All rooms offer city views.

Great host, very beautiful room with frescoes and antique furniture, walking distance to everything, comfortable bed.
The bathroom is new, but there are no hooks nor shelves.
The location was fairly central.
The room is on the top floor of the building with steep stairs and no elevator. This was difficult to manage with luggage. Also the check in office was in a different location so this was not convenient.
Nice room with antique furniturein in a lovely old building
A little bit far from railway station, you need cheek-in in another building (10-min walking), poor and not tasty breakfast.
The breakfast was ok and in the present old building.
Check in time is at 15:00 and at a different place than the one you are staying. The place is 4 stories up a narrow staircase with no elevator and help. Exhausting after coming from a long journey and carrying your luggage across the paved roads of Siena and up the stairs. Word of advice: 1)I suggest this place only to young people and men 2) Leave someone with your luggage at via Dei Rossi and check in with your ID's at Via Stalloreggi 14. It's also noisy (summer) with the windows open (no AC). No Wi-Fi.
The location and room are great. The bathroom is large and clean. If you don't have big luggage with you, I would recommend this place.
It was trouble to carry heavy luggage on the uphill stone pavement between two places from the reception for check-in to the building where the room is. Breakfast is poor.
good location nice, big room, nice bathroom nice owners - but don't necessarily follow their restaurant recommendations...
No WiFi!!! Note that the reception is around 15 mins walk from the BB itself. It is generally not a problem because both are well located but just something you need to take into account when checking in and out (for instance if you want to leave your luggage after the check out, you will have to bring them to the reception). Breakfast - Italian BBs in general don't provide you with great breakfast but this one is particularly poor. And it's served only until 9.30! It's better to skip it and grab a real Italian coffee and a pastry in one of the cafes. Finally the noise - for us it was not a problem, since we can sleep even if it is loud outside but the more senstive people should know that the BB is located in a street, which during the evenings can be busy until late night hours.
