Although we had said our time of arrival, there was no one to greet us. We had to wait for the landlords mum to come and let us in. The business is operated from a distance. The electrics and decor in our room needed attention and there was a cracked pane of glass in the widow.
The breakfast was varied and as much as you could eat between 8.00 and 10.00 am.

A clean, comfortable room with a private bathroom in an apartment-style hotel. There were another 2 or 3 rooms with 2 additional shareable bathrooms. All of them were very clean. The whole apartment was very clean and comfortable as well. It is situated between Porta Nuova train station and old city walls, in a 5-minute walking distance to old arena - one of Verona's main sightseeings. I recommend this place to everyone.

When we arrived, we paid the money for our stay and stored our luggage in the room that we booked and went to explore the city. We did not really check the room. For price higher than 3 star hotels nearby we expected simply at least a normal room. We were wrong. Our stay changed to a catastrophe. When we arrived to our room in the evening and spent our first 20 minutes there - we started to feel really cold - the room temperature was down probably because also the temperature outside got down. Normally you would just increase the heater and forget about it, but: there was not heater in the room. - So if you at night realize that the window is leaking and the place is cold, you are probably expected to take back on your jacket and sleep this way. The other big problem was the hygiene - the room was extremely dusty - it really smelled like dust - apparently thanx to large red colored hangings that were not washed or vacume cleaned for a really long time, through which air was blowing through the leaking window and spreading dust across the room. The style of the tiny room was very surprising as well - it included a lot of red colour and an old looking chair with an ugly picture of a flag - I would not mind the style, but the dusty smell and cold in the room were something that we could not ignore. And as there was no owner around, we quickly changed to another - 3 star hotel that we found just a few meters away from B&B Rigoletto, on the same street. There we paid a few euros smaller price then in B&B Rigoletto and also the city tax was only 1 Euro per person and not 2,5 as it was in B&B Rigoletto. There are many hotels around and even in busy periods you will find something free - don't stay in B&B Rigoletto. 3 star hotel is cheaper, you will pay smaller city tax and you will have a clean room, you will have your own toilet and shower and a receptionist available the whole time.

No bad experience.
Nice staff. Everything as expected, they provided what they have described. The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen was clean and nicely furnished. The accomodation is very near to the center, Porta Nuova train station is about 15 minutes walk. From here the main attractions of the city can be reached by foot. A supermarket and pizzerias are also very near. Breakfast was also as described, don't expect gourmet food, but it was totally satisfying: bread, cheese, jam, cereals, milk, juice, tea, coffee and sweet cakes.

Friendly, charming Daniel welcomed us and took us to another apartment around the corner. A neat, spacious livingroom, kitchen and modern bedroom with large bathroom welcomed us. We were sooooo excited to have so much space and the joy of your own coffeemaker ! and a fridge and microwave had us in a happy mood the whole stay! Close to the perfectly preserved arena, very close to the theatre where we watched a ballet, close to the modern Eurospar on 2floors , fresh food , fruit and barbecued chicken.WiFi and Daniel helping us to stay connected with our families. Easy payment , no surprise costs and the best was Mia , his friendly companion . She stole our hearts with her abundance of love and energy. Thanks for a lovely stay. 3Sisters from South Africa.

Nothing bad to say about it.
It is a 4 room ap with 2 bathrooms. On our stay there was only one other room occupied, so each room had its own bathroom. The ap looks like a 4 star hotel, the breakfast is self service with a lot to choose from, wifi works realy good. If i ever visit Verona again i will not stay in another hotel.

construction work going on. breakfast limited, all packaged goods. check out too early. looked like a remodeled apt above businesses. Just OK, nothing to rave about.
location good. Place was clean, bathroom new and they were still remodeling. parts unfinished. felt more loike a hostel, apt with bedrooms rented out. no public space, balcony was full of construction materials.

Awesome location, guy who helped us out was really nice and had no problem with us leaving our bags after check out while we wandered around a bit. Decor was modern and the whole place was very clean!

If you don't tell them in advance when you are arriving, you may have to wait outside on the street for a staff member which is ok when its sunny but it would be annoying if it was raining. There is a lift but it is very small- it can only fit one person at a time so be aware of that if you're travelling with someone else. I left around 8am but I didn't know where I was supposed to leave the key so I left it in the door of the bedroom but I would have liked to be told their checkout procedure.
The bed was comfortable. The b and b is close to the train station as well as the the roman arena, casa di giulietta and other attractions. The kitchen is open all the time so you can have something to eat or drink if you are peckish. The room and corridor are nicely decorated.

However, there were several things that made the experience less enjoyable that we hoped for. The kitchen wasn't equipped for cooking - no stove, just a microwave and no hot water for tea or coffee - the coffee machine only worked during the breakfast time (which is reasonable, but why not to provide a kettle for the rest of the day?) Another major disturbance for me was that the kitchen balcony is used for smoking and the smoke goes right in the bathroom window which is usually wide open. The smoke also gets in the kitchen not the nicest thing in the world during breakfast, especially if you are allergic and specifically requested a no smoking room. Our room (but maybe that's the only case in the b&b) was painted gray and bloody red - fine for a personal choice but a tad irritating for a tired traveller. Also, a shelve or a night stand next to the bed would be nice as we had to put everything that we needed in the bed on the floor.
It's generally a nice place, the staff is helpful and everything is clean. If you are a good sleeper (the street outside is sometimes noisy), don't care about cigarette smoke and not too picky - it's definitely a place to stay.
