Bad - B&B And Design

La ubicación era muy buena, cerquita del centro de la ciudad. Estaba en un edificio antiguo pero las instalaciones del B&B estaban reformadas y se encontraban en bastante buen estado. Resultó una estancia agradable.

No tenía ascensor y había que subir un tramo de escaleras hasta un primer piso, algo habitual en edificios antiguos del centro de las ciudades.

L ahabitación era muy grande, y la decoración estaba muy chula. Está bien situado, justo a tres minutos de la plaza del duomo; y el personal del hostal es muy agradable.

Excellent location, friendly and helpful staff!

First of all, the staff was really nice, friendly and always there to answer questions and to book trips (Etna, boats...). You can contact them 24/7 and will get help for sure. I really liked the terrace on top of the roof.. Its confortable and nice. You have a free internet acces, but you might need to stay in the reception hall to get some signal.. The location of the hostel is perfect - it's 15 min to the airport by a local bus, 5 min walk to the amazing pesceria (fishmarket) and the city center, there is a little shop in front of the hostel and you are also only 5 min walk from the Piazza Borsellini where the busses leave to Siracusa, Taormina, Palermo... Altogether I can recommend the bad to anyone who does not need luxus and who likes a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you Alessandro and Pietro :) Ines

Well.. &Quot;Breakfast included" doesn't mean breakfast, really.. You get a coupon to get a drink and croissant. My friend was really happy with this, I'd have preferred some yoghurt, cereals or fruits (impossible to find). Also, you should plan to wake up around 9am, which is the time when people start making noise - and you won't be able to sleep anymore because of the thin walls. For us, 9am was ok :) One annoying thing were the timetables of the busses put up in the hostels: they were old and not correct - check new timetables before planning a trip to another city!

This hotel is very close to the main bus station area, the main market and the main square. The room was very well decorated and clean. It also had a bath which was rare and the wifi worked all the time and was free. The staff were friendly and responsive and there was lots of interesting artwork in the reception area. They let us keep our suitcases there before checking in and after checking out, as our flights were earlier/later than the room was available. This is perfect for a few days.

We seemed to have paid £25 more than other people and we didn't know why. Maybe it was the bath, maybe it was bad luck. The bed isn't the comfiest in the world and there is only 1 pillow each which makes it hard to sit up in bed and watch tv. The tv is small. If you are taller than the average circus midget you will bump your head on the ceiling. Also, breakfast is at a local cafe and consists of coffee and croissant. Not good if you are vegan/lactose intolerant. Don't stay between 2nd and 7th February as they set loud fireworks off that deafen you because of some Saint who never had sex with anyone. Still, if that's your thing you'll love it.

The staff is really nice, they speak good english and give all information you need. I felt at home there. My room was very confortable. The wifi connexion was excelent since my room was close to the reception. They dont provide breakfast in the bb. The (continental) breakfast is in fact in a bar. Since I was alone, it was really nice for me. They dont have a frigobar in the room but you can use a refrigerator place in the reception. Also, you can buy sodas that are inside this refrigerator and you manage the payment putting the coins in a box. This gives the sensation of sharing the house and I liked it. :)

If you want to sleep during morning, ask for a room not close to the reception. I woke up every morning with the small talk of the staff. But, even this I have found charming as they speak italian bella! :)

everything was excellent but the room design was exceptional for the price

Gives you a fresh feeling of modern class inside a grey monochromatic city such as Catania... The design shows good eye pleasing effort. Apart from that, being close to Via Etnea and close to a bus station the location of the B&B is a good one for those who want to stay in the main area as well as travel a bit further.

Friendly staff, good location.

Breakfast that included in price for room is very poor (only crescents) at 3d day we hate them). I would advised them to extend to menu of baking.

It is a designer B&B, the rooms and common areas are nice and good. I did like the breakfast, a voucher to a really nice cafe two minutes away. Although I can not see how you could self cater (as the terrace is miniscule and there is no kitchen) the market is 5 steps away. The local bus station for the beach, etc. is two minutes walk away.

Train station and ferry terminal rather far on foot and area can get seedy during the night. I do not think it did any good to the staff being in the Lonely Planet guide and having good reviews here as they were somewhat pompous and not much of a help. Wifi working properly only in the reception area.

The breakfast is great. They give you a coupon so you can have breakfast in a bar.

There's no elevator.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room looked stylish and hip, and the location was good (very close to the city center and main bus station).

The wi-fi and the tv were not working. Breakfast was at an outside location (nearby), where the staff wasn't always that friendly.

The location is good, however the hotel is on quite a noisy street (at least the room we have been staying in).

Calling this a design hotel is a bit overrated. Yes, it is a bit unusual, but the general standard is relatively poor. Our room was quite shaby, we had private, but detached bathroom, with no proper ventilation. But for budget/student travelers, I would say a cool place to stay...

Nice to have clean new white sheets. Location is quite good; just past the fish markets. Not too difficult to find (in daylight) from the bus stop if you are coming from the airport and don't want to sit on the bus all the way until Piazza Borsellino.

Breakfast was poor.

The hotel is great, also the staff.it is in a very good location being close to city center, bus station and train station.we would like to thanks for the hospitality

The only think that is missing for the hotel is the lift.

очень понравилась команда менеджеров в лице ольги и пьетро. мегапрофессиональные и очень гостеприимные люди, помогли внести все изменения в бронирование, нашли интересные экскурсии, помогали со всеми возникающими вопросами. очень понравился дизайн отеля, особенно чудесная терраса и гамак в мини-аппартаменто. отель находится практически в центре, рядом с известным рыбным рынком, зрелище в рабочие часы- потрясающее.

минусов у отеля нет, всем советую!!!!

Cordialita' del personale. Design semplice e fantasioso della struttura ottenuta rivisitando in chiave moderna oggetti anni 70. Posizione centralissima dietro piazza duomo, ottimo per tuffarsi in centro.

Korrekt, tiszta, csupán 100 métere a halpiactól. Minden rendben volt, segítőkészek a recepciósok.

B&B molto carino, arredato con gusto stile vintage! Personale disponibilissimo!ottima qualità/prezzo! Vicinissimo al centro!

super lokalizacja blisko fantastycznego targu rybnego i blisko centrum zabytkowego.

La gentilezza del personale nell'accoglierci e fornirci indicazioni, l'ambiente molto colorato ed accogliente e l'ottima posizione dalla quale raggiungere facilmente il centro.

le pulizie giornaliere erano un pò superficiali, si notava dalla polvere che si è andava accumulando nei giorni, mentre il bagno era sempre pulito!

The location is perfect - right next to the fish market and the Duomo.

We booked the room with the bathroom on the hallway, as we were there only for one night and we thought it won't matter - big mistake! The bathroom was as big as an airplane loo, besides it was dated and dirty. It didn't resemble the photos on the website at all. The room was smelly and the whole place had a "backpackers" feel, not at all design! The location made up for all this though.

Très bien situé, à deux pas de la piazza Duomo, propre, déco pour le moins pathétique et douteuse mais touchante, amusante et ecclectique. Le petit déjeuner compris dans le prix à prendre dans le fameux bar de l'étoile, trés réputé qui permet de profiter de l'ambiance du marché de la pêche tous les matins. Bref un bon hôtel avec un bon rapport qualité/prix pour les petits budgets.

Moyennement insonorisé, on entend bien les voisins si ceux-ci ne font pas cas des voisins... Pas de personnel la nuit mais possibilité de contacter un membre disponible toute la nuit qui se déplace en 10 minutes
