Great private dinner at onsite restaurant. Ricardo took great care of us and prepared a special treat for us- he roasted chestnuts in a pan in the fireplace beside our table… delish!! The tour of the wine cellar and tasting given by Juicie (sp?) was fantastic for our family. We learned a lot about the Chianti Classico and the region.

Badia a Coltibuono Wine Resort & Spa is the first wine resort in Chianti, offering a truly unique experience in the historic atmosphere of a 1000 years old abbey and farm. WiFi is available in the common areas. Guests can rest and relax in the magnificent garden in Italian style garden or, during summer, around the large open-air swimming pool. At 2133 feet above sea level, summers are temperate and the villa is naturally cool in the evenings.
