Baglio Donna Franca

Baglia Donna Franca has incredible surroundings and a very good atmosphere. The staff was helpful and friendly and the (not very large) rooms were clean.

Tastefully renovated, to a very high standard.

Unbalanced composition of staff: some very attentive, but others mediocre and by times unreliable. This level of hotel needs a swimming pool.

Beautiful location elevated in quiet countryside amongst vineyards and with wonderful views of the Egadi Islands. Very good place for a peaceful break and easy to get to Erice, Marsala, the Trapani windmills and Mozzia Island. It is remote and you will need a car. The staff are very friendly but do not speak much English as most visitors appear to be Italian or German. Nicely restored building with a nice Terrace with excellent 360 degree views all around. A visit to the Cantina (Cellars) is a must, book it when you get there to avoid confusion and disappointment. (Free). Guiseppe at reception was very helpful with good english as was Pasquale the taxi driver who brought us from Trapani (20 Euros) airport plus the lad from the restauarant who led us in his car to the Pharmacy. Finally please feed the little brown stray dog that lives in the vineyard. he seems very scared but is really very friendly when you talk to him.

Breakfast was very repetative and one morning I asked if we could have boiled eggs but were told they didn't have any! Evening nmeals were OK but quite expensive but you will have to drive to go anywhere else and alternatives are not that obvious.We went in mid June 2009 and the swimming pool is just a muddy hole in the ground (noone was working on it), I asked for a transfer to the beach but was told that the Lidos were not yet open!! Would appear that Juneis off season, we were tghe only guests on night,

An experience! Beautiful building. Good food...but expensive. If you want a snack/drink with the locals, try Il Preferito in the village, Massimo is the owner. If you want a meal with the locals try Il Cacciatore on the road to Marsala. We’ll definitely stay again, maybe after they put the pool in. 15 minutes from airport...

Staff are very helpful, but there is a slight training need!...

Beautiful facility

Restaurant was closed except for breakfast. THe hotel is very far from Marsala, and I think that you should warn people the restaurant may not be open. The directions to the hotel were difficult to follow, mostly because there are few street (road) signs to use

Très bel hôtel de caractère avec beaucoup de charme. Personnel très sympa et très pro. Le domaine est aussi un domaine viticole, le vin bio y est excellent !. La propreté est irréprochable, ce qui est rare et fort important. Vraiment une superbe adresse qui mérite le détour. Le calme est absolu

Dit wijngoed is gunstig gelegen t.o.v. de luchthaven Birgi bij Trapani en een goed begin of eindpunt van een rondreis. Het ontbijt is zeer matig.

Het ontbijt. We hebben een rondreis gemaakt en waren er ons van bewust dat een Italiaans ontbijt niet veel voorstelt. Echter, in alle bezochte hotels, ook de 2 sterren, was het ontbijt beter dan in de 4 sterren acco Baglio Donna Franca. Er werd oud toastbrood geserveerd en er waren geen broodjes.

Essen im Restaurant mittelmäßig; keine wecheslnde Speisekarte; wenn man ein Zimmer ebenerdig hat hört man sehr laut die Übermieter (Steinboden, Holzmöbel etc.)

Personeel erg vriendelijk /behulpzaam. Erg mooi gelegen. Ideaal voor een verblijf voor of na een vlucht van Trapani Birgi (ca 20 min)

Het eten was voor een 4* hotel benedenmaats.

de weg naar het hotel is moeilijk te vinden. De receptionist heeft ons telefonisch de weg uitgelegd. Goed ontbijt met heerlijke eigen gemaakte taarten. Het eten is heerlijk en met een rustgevende atmosfeer, goede prijs kwalitiet verhouding. En met de wijn van eigen gebied!

Prachtig en zeer goed onderhouden landhuis-hotel,midden in een wijngaard gelegen.mooie grote binnenplaats,uitstekend,stijlvol ingericht restaurant. Omgeving;typisch italiaanse tegenstellingen: Mooie wijngaarden,reuze bamboe,cactussen verlaten landhuizen,maar ook veel neergegooid afval ! Op een kwartiertje rijden van het vliegveld. Mi è piaciuto il contesto in cui è collocato il baglio, che mi sembra ristrutturato con gusto.

Alle ore 15,00 la camera non era ancora pronta e non c'era acqua calda.
