Best location on the Cinque Terra!! So handy to the Station, beach, Restaurants, shops etc and flat, not dragging our bags up any hills. Alice and staff were very nice to deal with.
Our room was at the back and above the kitchen, so some noise of dishes, loud talking at times. Breakfast was basic, however did meet our needs.
Breakfast and view of the Sea
Staff not so friendly.
The reception staff at this hotel are horrible, worse I've come across. Most inhospitable, rude and lazy reception staff ever, don't stay here it will ruin your holiday especially in a lovely place like cinque Terre. Go somewhere else anywhere but Hotel Baia
The location was fabulous being across the road from the beach
The shower has mould in it and in general the bathroom was not clean
We paid extra for balcony and sea views which we're amazing. Went to sleep listening to the sea, doors open. Woke to see the sun rise on our small balcony. view over the beach and mountains. Great eating places on the beach
Having to walk up 3 flights to room but worth it for the view. Cost was high but saw it as our treat.
Absolute great location for the train station the beach and nice little walk to main town for an excellent choice of restaurants
It's position across the road from the beach
Not very comfortable. Bathroom too small.
Quaint, clean and close to restaurants and station.
Overall, a little small.
The place was in a fantastic location. The young lady with the short blonde hair that did the afternoon shift provided excellent customer service..Her friendliness and ability to help others was outstanding. We had a comfortable stay with a perfect view!
The lady in the morning was very grumpy and quite abrupt!
The location only 3 doors down from train station and across from the beach. Clean comfortable room.
The wi- fi was not very good.
The friendly staff are very helpful Great location, tables/chairs outside too Breakfast is good and the coffee hot! Rooms comfortable with plenty of space
The beds are HARD, like boards
Proximity to train and beach.
No wifi. No lift for personal use.
I think it's a great hotel location wise to stay in monterosso. Very close to the station. We had a room which looked straight out to the sea. Yes it could be a tad noisy at times but it's summer, you are in Europe and you are beach side. The girl that works during the day and the man working at night are helpful and friendly.
Wifi was only in lobby and you needed to login with your code every time you wanted to use the internet. The lady that works in the mornings at reception is extremely rude and wasn't helpful at all.
Price No elevator Not tasty breakfast Staff
Staff were happy to help us with organising scuba dives, dinners and transport. Rooms were lovely, new and well looked after.
Sound of the ocean right outside your room at night.
Location, location, location! Literally ten meters to the beach, where the hotel has a private part. Great for a slow and sunny vacation. The room was clean with a good bed, nothing fancy though. A bit old bathroom with a dripping tap, but clean. Kind and service minded staff, especially the younger ones. Adequate breakfast for an Itailan hotel, very basic but absolutley nothing wrong.
WiFi only in the lobby, sometimes VERY slow. Some staff doesn´t speak English.
The view from our room was awesome - it was exactly what we booked. The location was great.
The breakfast was not good at all - you are here for the view, and not the food. The daily beach fee of 5 Euro - we were often just there for late afternoon, so a reduced rate for the beach would have been nice.
Position was excellent
Clean, friendly staff, breakfast for free, great location
Beds not very comfortable. A "value" hotel. I didn't mind because I wasn't in the room much.
I liked the authenticity of the people and the atmosphere. The hotel was built in 1911, before two world wars ravaged Europe. It harks back to a slower, gentler time of vacationing by the sea. We had a beautiful ocean view from our window. The staff was courteous and comfortable with the guests. If you want to stay in a modern hotel full of fake plastic 'elegance', this is not the place for you. This is the real deal. You will learn something about how Italians vacation.
very small room and no tea/coffee making facilities
The location of the motel is perfect , opposite the beach , 70 m from the train station , near a car park and next to bars and restaurant
Apart from the breakfast ladies, cleaning ladies, the receptionist and the waitor Simono, the owners who attend to the reception desk in the mornings and late evening need a lesson or two in people skills. Though there attitude towards "straneri" foreigners in English as we are called by the locals, reflects how people think of tourist in the cinque terre area. Honest people with little hospitality skills and an abrupt way of talking . If you come across a friendly local in this area there is a big chance that they are immigrants who have resided here . The area is renowned for its natural walks between towns ,this is properly why a number of tourist flock in this region. But for some unknown reason a lot of the walks have been neglected and closed for repair .This and other aspects of up keeping have been neglected and it won't take long for travellers to spread the word .
Room safe did not work and they did not fix.
Location was perfect - just 50 metres from the railway station; and close to the start of the Monterosso to Vernazza hike, and close to ferries too. Great Sea views from your room (if you want this)
