Hotel Balcony  

Excellent location in the centre of Florence. Clean rooms, staff very helpful. Would definitely fully recommend hotel for those wanting to stay in centre of city

The location was fantastic! The view from our terrace was looking right at the Duomo. The couple who managed the hotel were really nice. They gave us great suggestions as to where and what to see in Florence. The hotel was beautiful with marble steps, a pretty breakfast room and a sitting area and a great terrace. We got there early and our room wasn't ready yet but they let up keep our luggage there. The complimentary breakfast was great! Also we needed a taxi to the airport when we were leaving, and the host called for one which came within one minute! We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were very polite and helpful in all ways. Also the location cloše to the train station and the city centre was a plus.

The only thing was the breakfast was a bit bland, but that was not a drama.

Very nice location - few minutes walk to Duomo. Friendly staff, though their English wasn't very good. I also liked the open balcony with tables, where you can seat at any time.

Our room had window into the yard - no pleasant view, not enough light. Furniture in the room is pretty old.

The rooms look nothing like the photos presented in booking.com. They are smaller, the walls and ceilings are in bad condition, in fact we didn't sleep all night because we were scared the pieces would fall on us. The room was full of mosquito blood on the walls and the curtains. The bathroom had a very bad odour. The towels were like kitchen towels and the bathroom window could not be closed. The lights in the room were of bad quality and the tv wasn't working. Reception in non-existent from 11pm on wards. Breakfast was of poor quality. Really nothing to offer. Not even a lift.We really don't understand how this hotel has such a rating! Because based on the hotels' very good rating we decided to book this hotel. Unfortunately we are very disappointed. We paid far more than what it was worth!

Guido, the son of this family run establishment was friendly & helpful, making us feel very welcome. Our room overlooked the roof terrace and was well tended to during our stay. A comfortable sofa seating area on the first floor including bathroom facilities - secure for luggage storage. A little chilly to eat breakfast on the outside terrace but the ground floor breakfast room was very well set up with fantastic hot drink machine & juice dispenser plus decent buffet. Will certainly return hoping it to be occupied by the same family.

The location was incredible. It is very close to the train station, Medici Chapels, Duomo, etc. The staff were extremely accommodating. They were friendly and helped us find places to eat, etc. The room was quiet and clean. We read reviews that didn't like the breakfast but we found it to be lovely. You're in Europe so you aren't going to get ihop every morning - it had great breakfast pastries, cereal, yogurt, meats and cheeses, etc. a very typical European breakfast. They also had a wide selection of juices and coffee. We were traveling with our eighteen month old baby and they were very friendly and accommodating with her.

It seems like the heating/air is on a circuit and they don't turn it on during the day. The room got a bit cold during the middle of the day but it was fine in the morning and evening. The shower took a few minutes to get really hot.

I stayed here out of season so had a fantastic price from booking.com From the room rates inside the room it can be booked for 3x the price in summer. So my trip was extremely good value and highly recommended. Beside the price, I chose this hotel for the location and it was fabulous, between the train station and the duomo, so if you arrive by train you can't do better. The family who run it are just so lovely and helpful. My room had a little terrace, shared with the next door room, which I should imagine in the summer is lovely! Mine was a single 105 and comfortable. Unfortunately could hear everything going on in 106, two chinese females who were not very quiet. If you're going with friends it's worth having these 2 rooms for the terrace! The main terrace is lovely but careful if you chose a room overlooking the main terrace as I should think it gets quite full (of smokers and chatters) during the warm evenings, and could be a nuisance keeping the windows shut because of this. Breakfast had some savoury which is not often the case in italy. A good find and I would come back here.

It didn't bother me as I had no baggage, but the rooms are all on the first or 2nd floors with no lift

The hotel is owned by a young man and his father. They are very kind and helpful. The location is excellent, walking 5 minutes to railway station and the city center. Will recommend my friends to stay if they come to Florence.

The Hotel is was more that I would except from 2 Star Hotel. It was Clean , Friendly Staff, Great Location, Good Breakfast to Start your Morning, Close to Doumo.. Just Wonderful. Our Stay was Amazing....
