It was very convenient to be located right beside the lake and across the road to the boat fiery the rooms are not sound proof. we can hear every thing happening in the room next to us |

We very much enjoyed our junior suite on the sixth floor. It was spacious and the closet was nice being a walk in with a full length mirror. The view was fantastic. Being in bed and having the panoramic view to wake up to was wonderful. The front desk,Elisa was most helpful and friendly. |

The location was excellent with walking distance to seas side, shopping and sight seeing. Great offer on the breakfast buffet. The hotel needs a face lift. The hotel entrance and lobby has seen no change for many years and is missing the expected charm. |

The Staff were great, the hotel was immaculate and the whole experience was simply wonderful. The rooms are not sound proof, could hear every little detail from our neighbours. We were woken each morning rather early by our neighbours. |

Reception staff were very helpful. Suggestions for restaurants, timetables for ferries and trains, nothing was any trouble. The lake view and the central location for trains and boat trips. Some areas looked tired. The noise from the roadworks immediately in front of the hotel and the terrible 'music 'coming from the exhibition tent in the square below after midnight.Should not have really charged for an upgrade, but rather paid us to take the rooms.A young woman serving in the bar was so unrepresentative of the rest of the staff. She was churlish and needs a course on customer care. |

I was really disappointed, certainly not a 4 star hotel. It is in need of a dramatic makeover. For your credibility it should be deleted from your portfolio. 200 euros a night is incredible bad value. |

Location is great, although the wind can blow freely from the lake, and for the rooms with a lake view (we had one), the wind can get pretty loud at night (but I guess that's the price you pay for a lake view...) Breakfast was rather poor, and they run out of stuff on Sunday.. The rooms are clean, but would need a bit of renovation - we couldn't close our balcony door properly and couldn't change the room as the hotel was fully-booked. We paid EUR 250 per night for this hotel, which is far from being a bargain. |

Staffs been friendly and polite. Good location. View from Balcony nice. Breakfast reaonably satisfactory. The entire hotel need quite a bit of made up to keep as 4 stars ranking. There's in general a lack of character, i.e. lobby areas as a 4 stars hotel in a resort area. We stayed at room with Balcony on 2nd floor and the street lamp (really bright one) for the square just in front and probably similar level of our room which completely spoiled any atmosphere to try relax at the balcony in the evening. During our stay, as its a long weekend for Swizterland, there also open musical events at the square during our stay which last until 11 or 1130m in the evening which really untolerable but guess there's very little the hotel can do about this. |

Hotel has an excelent lake view and a very nice breakfast buffet. Room was nicely decorated and I did like the 5th floor balcony with the opportunity to watch people in the plaza and activity on the lake. The hotel is very difficult to reach by car, due to the many VERY narrow one-way streets. The parking facilities are quite far away, so I would only recommend this hotel for people traveling by tour bus or taxi. |

Location was great - balcony view was wonderful. The booking does state that the superior room will have balcony - if available. We were allocated a room on the first floor without a balcony although fortunately we had written to the hotel directly to confirm that we would have a balcony. They changed our room when we mentioned this but not sure they would have without the email - May be worth contacting them to make sure you have a balcony - it is well worth it. |

Hotel Metropole & Suisse is nestled in Como, between the Swiss border and the city of Milano. |
Palace Hotel and Centro Congressi offers you a great location in Como, just 2 minutes' walk from the harbour and the train station. It has lake views. |
Are you looking for a central location in Como? But you obviously want a great view across the lake as well. Stay at Albergo Terminus and you have both. |
Hotel Borgovico is set 400 metres from Como San Giovanni train station and a 15-minute walk from the historic centre in a quiet area close to restaurants and cafés. |
