Central Location , very clean and comfortable rooms which were spacious . Staff very helpful.
TV had numerous channels however no english speaking channels
Very friendly stuff, the owner of the hotel is very kind, gave us good recommendations. Perfect rooms, very clean. Nice breakfast. Very comfortable location, nice town.
Great value and ideally situated hotel with fabulously helpful and friendly staff. Good breakfast provided too.
Big clean rooms, lovely big bathroom and power shower. Comfy beds and efficient AC. Central location and friendly staff
Room- including bathroom- was spacious and clean Breakfast was a good variety and wait staff was friendly. The two young lady who worked at the desk was very friendly and one arranged a bagged breakfast and lunch knowing we had to leave early the following day for a tour.
-In early September, it was 26-27 C -high 70's F- outside. The room would not go lower than 25 C- 78-80 F. When we asked at the front desk, Carlo (the manager) looked at something on the desk and told us the room was 25C and seemed that that should be a satisfactory temperature! We opened the windows for air only to hear the vehicular traffic all night and it still was HOT in the room. They said they'd fix it; it was the same the second day so we left a day early. It certainly seemed that they limit the ability of the guests to lower the room temp. --Disco light in the bathroom were 6 Christmas type lights on the ceiling set in "twinkle" mode. Don't fall for this gimmicky feature. -Pillows on the bed were one each and were at most 1 inch thick. We did get extras the second night but it seemed difficult to find them
The Hotel was obviously newly refurbished. It was nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable. We were in a Junior Suite but I think "Suite" was wishful thinking. It was just a double room with a small corridor attached for a single bed. Carlos and Francesca were great and the lady who served the breakfast and did the cleaning (sorry I didn't catch her name!) was lovely and friendly! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Montecantini Terme.
My only complaint was that the view from my room looked out on the rubbish bins! Also, Booking.com made an error in our booking but thankfully Carlos sorted it out for us!
Location is good, minute walk to centre and very quiet. Public parking nearby for only 3€. Pleasant and very helpful stuff but the most valuable thing is that hotels is clean and looks very modern with functional bathroom (spacious walk in shower). Rooms quite and soundproof with strong Wi Fi signal. AC worked well. Excellent value for money You pay
Décor freshness of the rooms, the bathroom with the coloured lighting was fab. The bed was big and the room height with the shutters were wonderful. When I lost my phone the staff at Smart Hotel Bartolini helped me to get it back from the restaurant I left it in. I was so grateful. The hotel is in a brilliant location. I would like to personally thank Lydia and her Dad for all their help especially with directions. Francesca for answering my email so quickly, Carlos to. and last but not least the lady who prepared the breakfast so wonderfully and asked what kind of coffee you required nice touch.Highly recomend Ciao.
Staff at reception extremely helpful , and good at English - Julia in particular, was so helpful when we had a problem with our car ( broken windscreen) and liaised with the local garage , translating for us ( we can't speak Italian) and arranging repair etc. The hotel is very centrally located in Montecatini and easy to walk into town and up to the thermal spas - we also enjoyed taking the railway up to Montecatini Alto for the views. Can certainly recommend this hotel.
The rain ! - not the fault of the hotel And not great that have to park away from the hotel and that there is very complicated one way system in Montecatini.
- Very modern and clean - Huge and pretty bathroom - Great breakfast with a lots of variety - Nice in general
- Airco was not blowing cold air. When reported to the staff, the owner was trying to help in a weird way.. first of all, he said that because of the very hot weather, it might take couple of hours to cool off (there was no hot weather and airco usually takes about 15 minutes to cool down the room). Couple of hours passed and nothing changed. When we approached and told him that the problem is probably because it's set to a wrong mode and there's no remote control to change the mode (only the owner has the remote control for the airco), he said "yes, I also think so". He went to up to our room and changed the mode but that still didn't help. We found another review talking about the airco problem also. Seems like the owner was aware of the airco problem, not clear what was the purpose of behaving like that. Anyway, he said an airco guy will come next day, but no one came. Luckily these days were not insanely hot. If you are going on hot days, keep this in mind. - Internet connection was terrible. Wifi signal is great, but the connection itself was slower than 100kbit/sec (that's insanely low). - You have to park your car within 10 minutes walking distance on a public parking. Not a big deal, however.
Everything was good. The staff was very helpful. I recommend :-)
Everything! Very modern clean hotel... towels changed every day.. walk in power shower. free Wi fi in all rooms. . Great selection at breakfast. . All staff very helpful... and pleasant. . Would highly recommended.
Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms big, clean, wonderful. Bathroom is amazing! :D Breakfast was great, wi fi working perfectly. Great place to stay, absolutely great.
Excellent location. Staff was exceptional with their knowledge of the cities around them gave their honest opinion of what we should do. Always so helpful and the owner went out of his way to help you. Recommended good restaurants and tours. Would definitely recommend this place. Breakfast was delicious very abundant.
No enough English channels still no big deal.
Regular 3 star hotel
Attitude of the staff is typical for tourist’s locations: “We’ll squeeze every euro we could from you and you will do nothing”. Cancellation policy is described anywhere and is not SmArt at all. We had to leave one day earlier (from 7 night stay) and informed staff more than 24 hours before leaving. We were forced to pay for the last night as “No Show” because according cancelation policy we had to inform tree days before. Nonsense. Internet site of the hotel does not have any cancelation policy, Booking.com (we booked through them) send us with booking confirmation: “If canceled or modified up to 3 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If canceled or modified later or in case of no-show, 100 percent of the first night will be charged.“ It does not say anything about three day notice for modification of the stay during the stay. In addition to that we were charged city tax for the night we did not stay in the city of Montecatini. Do not think this is legal at all! And the staff did it with the smile on their faces. If you have another choices – consider them.
Friendly and helpful staff Good breakfast Clean room Newly renovated room Walkable distance to the train station Easy access to the highway
*very good and quiet location in the centre, *good WIFI, *tasty breakfast
The hotel is newly renovated and very beautiful. You do not hear neighbors or street, the personnel is very helpful, the breakfast was huge and tasty, and we even got a "traveler bag" with breakfast, as we left very early. The location is central, 5 min to train station, shopping street and therms. You have also a free open parking in 5 min distance. It is easy to get to the motorway and reach Lucca, Florence, Pisa (not advisable) or shopping outlets.
The Montecatini Therme is a place for spa procedures, but when we wanted to enjoy a thermal pool, we found only a small one (5 min walk). There is a large open thermal pool in the village nearby (15 min by car) or another one between Pisa and Lucca.
design, room, central position, breakfast
roadworks in front of the hotel (will end ..) probably connected with some problems wifi connection
