Great location that afforded us a central location to explore Venice. Nice hotel for travellers who don't have an unlimited budget and appreciate great value. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Lots of neat little places to eat or stop for a drink nearby - one just outside the front door and around the corner. Maybe 50 steps - how cool is that. Enjoyed that 25 just paces from the front door you get a view of one of the many canals in Venice.
I cannot think of any reasons that would have me say that we did not like our stay at Hotel Bartolomeo.
Location - close to Rialto and San Marco Square, great bed quality, modern and fresh bathroom. Overall a fabulous hotel, amazing location and friendly security conscious staff. You will not be disappointed.
Location was perfect. Hard to find at first, after that you appreciate how close it is to everything. Breakfast was simple, could perhaps do with a toaster. Staff were friendly and helpful. Restaurant next door is a must try.
The only bad thing was we found that our luggage was infested with ants from the hotel.
Only the ants
The location is ideal, right next to the Rialto and a very nice bar-restaurant. The staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was a bit tiny as it is to be expected in Venice, but it is comfortable and clean. A real deal and a good value for money.
A bit noisy in the morning.
Good communications, responsiveness, close to Rialto Bridge & San Marco. Very good place to stay.
cleanliness Staff very helpful Nice room & bathroom Aircon Breakfast included - good variety Brilliant location
The staff, good people, helpful Clean room Bathroom WiFi
Breakfast is sad Some noise from the bar (not too bad thou) AC is dying
Tricky to find at first , but hey it's Venuce! Everywhere us tricky to find. I would suggest paying a luggage porter and save yourself the stress. The location was great, close to the major points of interest. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. Special mention to Mattio, always cheerful and helpful, and Ennio, who ran after me to the Vaporetto after we checked out, when it was discovered I had left my journal behind. Breakfast was great , kitchen staff very happy to help. Loved it.
No lift but staff obliged wth the luggage.
no free WiFi
Excellent location and service. Close to Rialto Bridge, shopping, restaurants, and more.
location is very good.
breakfast is very bad and not enough. wifi is not free
Great location, near to Ponte de Rialto but away from the crowds. As I emailed them in advance of our mid morning arrival, they got our room ready before check-in.
hard to find at first. the AC could work better, it took time for the room to cool off.
It was well situated. The staff was very pleasant.
A very little noisy with the bar underneath during the wend. Our windows were over the bar...
No elevator Hard to find
Liked the location - close to good sights like Rialto bridge but also tucked away enough to be quiet - staff were helpful and friendly - rooms had good soundproofing and good air conditioning
Wifi was not consistent
Excellent location. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.
Dark room. Felt smell of chlorine.
The hotel was a good value for the money and central to many of the attractions to venice (however, actually finding the hotel -- like much of venice -- is a challenge!) The breakfast was better than I expected for a hotel in this price range.
The rooms are a bit cramped (again, this is venice so it's to be expected) and stuffy.
the staff was particularly nice and patient. the room was lovely
the location was hard to find but i guess that everything in Venice is like that. the breakfast could have had a bit of more variety although the fact that this hotel is right in the middle of the most lively part of Venice probably justifies the price, i would have been happier paying less.
The staff where very helpful and friendly. Great value for money. Location was good.Loved the room on the top floor ( many steps to climb ) we didn't mind the climb.
Clean and comfortable stay! Helpful staff. Photos do not, show the quality of the hotel. Just 2mins from Rialto.
Could be a bit hard to find. LOOK HERE IF YOU WANT DIRECTION: Go to Campo do Bartolomeo next to Rialto. On the corner next to a ristorante there is a sign showing W.C. ahead. Follow it and turn right. Go straight and will see a restaurant. Turn right again and then you are there.
nice staff and nice location, really really near the Ponte Rialto
Great location, 10 mins walking to San Marco. square, 2 mins to the Riatal Bridge and water bus station... Nice and quiet room! Good Engilish speaking staff and very responsive and helpful......
Breakfast can be a bit better, it's not that bad having milk, yoghourt ... and coffee is great, maybe just some eggs and a bit more meat.
Friendly staff, great location! Very thoughtful, give us a map in terms of how to get there from the port.
