The location is excellent, very close to Saint Marcos piazza

We've stayed in different five star hotels and we think this hotel is not a Five Star Hotel because the facilities and comfort are not excellent.

As from arrival to departure the staff were there to help you , always by your name , the level of comfort was excellent , breakfast was very good , as was the dinner , a very good location two mins walk from St Marco Sq .

It is in the center of Venice. It looks to the grand canal. It has a vey good view. The breakfast was perfect.

I had a late supper in the bar. The food was mediocre......not at all what I expected from a Bauer restaurant.

We were mesmerized the moment our private water taxi pulled into the hotels's personal dock! We arrived early and had time for lunch in San Marco Square before checking into our rooms. They were comfortable, with every detail attended to. The details were beautiful. The location was superior. Best of all, the staff made us feel like we were the most important guests in the hotel, even though we booked at a discounted rate. We loved it!!!

I liked everything in the Bauer!very friendly staff, excellent housekeeping , perfect location,beautiful breakfast terrace ..... I have stayed there twice already and will do it again !

Staff were friendly and helpful, unlike other hotels in Italy.They made us feel welcome, even though we probably didn't look like we should have been there. Hotels like the Bauer are not in our usual price range, but we were treating ourselves special for this occasion & got a much cheaper price on the room.

I am very glad we did not pay the usual price of EU800 for the room, it was very small. The rooms I saw on the internet when booking were much bigger.

The most amazing thing about the Bauer is the concierges anything you wished to know, they had the answer,, anywhere we wanted to eat they booked it, any travel we needed they got it sorted. I wanted to take Carlo home with me!

The bed was too firm for me and the shower was in the bath and I found that a little difficult to manage as the bath was so high off the ground and it was slippery, there are no grab rails. I thought charging for the use of the gym was outdated and charging for the internet was unusual these days.

Excellent stay at the Bauer. Staff was excellent & efficient. We had the best spa treatments at the Palladian property; the staff was professional & excellent. Best spa treatments we ever had. We are already planning our next visit. 4 days in Venice was too short.

Depending on the day of the week, this hotel gets a 'mass influx of cruise ship' people which can create a somewhat hectic atmosphere in the morning for breakfast in their beautiful dining room/patio.

We love the fact that the hotel is right in the center and heart of the city. This is definitely the hotel to stay if visiting Venice! We love the abundance of food for their breakfast which was also free. The staff were very accommodating, helpful and always answered our questions with a smile!

I requested for a room with a view and they gave me a side room with a small view of the canal. The bar drinks were outrageously priced- the martini I ordered was not even full.

We loved the Bauer! I asked for a romantic view and we had a terrific terrace overlooking the canal and piazza. The rooftops of Venice! The outdoor dining on the Grand Canal was beautiful and the breakfasts (included) delicious. Staff was lovely. The location is so central to everything you'll want to walk to. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Location, Location, Location! Great Breakfast

Very expensive stay and on top of this they get a commission out of everything you book and you feel like they are always trying to sell you up sell you or book you into something. Even the commission on a water taxi was $10 Euro's for making a phone call. We paid $20 Euros for the wireless internet which supposedly was throughout the Hotel did not work in our room and we had to stay in the lobby common area's to use it. (for the price of the accommodation here at $500 per night things like internet, which most Hotels no longer charge for should be free...especially here! They still use big keys on a huge anchor and want you to pass them in and pick them up each day which is frustrating as this can only be done through the concierge and you have to wait in line each time...time to upgrade your security and door access for guests.
