Very good location close to centre of Sienna. Comfortable and clean room with breakfast at the next door caffe. The owners are very friendly!
Very friendly and helpful staff, offering any advice needed. Gave me a breakfast to take to my room at night as I was leaving early the following morning. The hotel was very clean with good facilities and in an excellent location for exploring Siena.
Only complaint would be the total lack of any soundproofing. The walls really might as well not have been there and meant a good nights sleep was almost impossible. A real shame because everything else was excellent.
I had a great time at Casa Mastacchi. I went on a short vacaction by myself and I found amazing people there. It has this postive family business vibe, everyone was very helpful. My flight the day before was delayed many hours and I had to continue the journey without any sleep for 28 hours, they were kind enough to make my room ready asap and let me check in 2 hours before the official time. I got plenty for breakfast (you must get used to Mediterranean style sweet breakfast), the coffee there is amazing. The waiter/receptionist Nicola superfriendly and patient with my Italian :) I had a room on the interior patio side so it was pretty peaceful all day long. No noise at all. Maybe except for the walls that are quite thin, you can hear people talking on the corridor in the morning, but it's not a big deal, helps you wake up early and seize the day :) The bed in my room was pretty big even though it was a single room and it was supercomfy! The location is great, close to everywhere: the Piazza, the Post Office, the Coach Station and the Trainstation. The food at the local restaurant pretty authentic and you get a 15% discount if you're a hotel gues. I will be back!
that my holidays lasted so short! :)
Staffs are very friendly. Location is a bit far from the central(10 min walk), but quiet.
Location inside wall, but just far enough away from all the action. Sensational staff. Good breakfast.
Liked everything about location. Would stay there again.
Great location, good price, friendly welcome
Very noisy as walls are too thin, you can hear a lot of what's going on next door
Very nice apartment, very close to Piaza del Campo (5min on foot). Clean and comfortable place. Friendly satff - especially the young waiter from the restaurant.
Weird behavior of the Mrs. owner of the restaurant.
A Casa Mastacchi is located on the main street leading to the Piazza Il Campo. A 15 minute stroll and you are there! The duomo is another 5 minute walk. The rooms are just a few doors from the restaurant also owned by the owner. We were given a discount for eating dinner at the restaurant. The owner was very helping in advising us on our menu selections. Breakfast was included in the cost of the room. A store opposite the restaurant sold leather belts made by the owner. He also sold handmade shoes. Both he and his daughter (his apprentice) were very personably and friendly.
everything is fine, and comfortable.
Host hospitality guiding us through the accomodation process. Dinner discount (15%) for guests in their restaurant. Good location, being like 15 min walking distance from the town center
No toilet seat in one of the rooms. Even highlighted this to the owner, no action was taken.
The atmosphere of the beautiful guest house-- it felt like a secluded Italian villa. Great central location in Siena, excellent value for money--quite luxurious for an economic B&B. Helpful staff.
Spacious room, comfortable bed. Quiet and safe. about 10 mins walk from the Campo so well away from the hustle and bustle for a good nights sleep yet a quick walk to all the historic sites
That when I wanted to book again a few months later they were sold out! Its a bit of a hike up the stairs with heavy luggage, but this is not unusual for Siena accommodation, and the staff helped out when I checked in.
We loved the location and the ambiance of this place. The last thing we wanted was to stay in a place that felt like we hadn't left our own country we wanted something with atmosphere and this place really fit the bill. The building is a typical very old style, (so don't expect a lift) but after the initial carrying luggage u the stairs it's just fine. The staff were wonderful and helped with our luggage. Bonus is you also get a discount when you eat at the restaurant that is just down the street from here. Nikolai who manages the restaurant is a complete delight, speaks perfect English, is a fountain of local information and incredibly helpful, oh and did I mention the location? Overall we had a wonderfully welcoming and comfortable stay here.
room with comfy beds, loft space. very very clean... nice sheets and pillows, bathroom. excellent location right in the city... unique place.
staff were helpful but there were times, we got frustrated when there s some who just dont want to be there working.
the room was very hot and the aircondition was not enough, breakfast was very bad, personel could be more polite!
Room service,staff attention outstanding,excellent location
Nothing to comment
Hallway had tables and chairs and was nice to eat there ( we brought food in sometimes) and play games with our grandchildren. Great view from the room. Breakfast was in a restaurant around the corner, and very nice. Staff friendly and helpful.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good location (near the center and not far from free parking), comfortable bed.
Hotel is situated on the 3rd floor and have no elevator, poor sound isolation, poor internet connection in the room.
We liked the antic style of our bedroom. Hotel is located in the heart of old town Siena.
Breakfast was really poor. Not good at all.
Room is like in a castle, very pretty
Nobody in the hotel speaks proper English and they charged my card without notifying me. The wifi in the room is weak. The heater automatically turns off at night, so it's cold in the room. Breakfast is too simple, only 3 bread and coffee for us 2 ppl.
Had a lovely stay at Casa Mastacchi. The hotel is very close to all the attractions so it was a good base to explore the city. The staff were amazingly helpful and spoke excellent English.
Doors/walls were a little bit thin so could hear other guest coming and going.
Cosy room and peaceful surroundings. A very friendly and helpful german guy worked in the restaurant (reception at the same time).
An elderly lady didn´t speak english and wasn´t very polite, when I arrived to the reception (=restaurant) in the evening at eight o´clock. Next evening she didn´t give me any discount in spite of the promises on paper in the hotel room, although she recognized me... By the way, I could hear everything from the room next to me!
Nice and charming building within 5-10 minutes to the dome and piazza palio.
Room is big and clean. Staffs are nice. Breakfast is good.
No elevator, it is not convenient. Though the hotel is not far from the station, it is not easy to find for there is no guide and the label is too small.
