Location Our host Our cake! Helpful tips
Very pleasant personal/owners. We were well treated with home baked cake, wine and snacks over the balcony.
We asked Massimo to give us some recommendations for dinner that night and lunch the following day. He took out his laptop and spent over 30 minutes to search for us, showing the pictures and menu of his favourites. He even made the call for us. And we communicated through google translation all th way as we don't speak Italian. It's really his friendliness, patience and passion for making his visitors a memorable stay at Alba make the difference. If we are coming back to Alba, we will absolutely choose his place again.
The apartments Are well located within an easy walk to the old town of Alba. Free parking is a plus. Apartment was very clean, nicely furnished, quiet. Owner very accommodating. Downside: they do not take credit cards so you must pay cash Euros on check out...a surprise to us.
No credit card option to prepay.
great if your doing the wine regions.. such as barolo and barbaresco, alba is right in the middle and casa bona is in a great location.
Fantastic owners and hosts Very modern in look and facilities Close to the centre of Alba, short walk Easy parking Nothing is too much trouble for them!
The location is just a few minutes by foot from the old city. The owner Massimo was very nice and helpful.
Very basic breakfast,
Amazing family with very warm heart. I was touched to tears when the mum made a delicious cake and Massimo knocked my door to present it. Also miss their little funny doggy ! My apartment was like a 5-star hotel - everything was brand new ,stylish and comfortable. Thank you very much for making my stay so lovely and memorable. Can't recommend this place enough!
Lovely outside terrace space, fantastic breakfast, made to feel like family when we stayed on our return journey. Was given mamas home made cake and a bottle of his wine. Would definitely go out of our way to visit again.
The attached kitchen, clean room and friendly family. Parking was also available, however there is plenty of free parking nearby.
The balcony was shared with another room and backed up against an enclosed building. The breakfast was prepackaged, synthetic and uninviting (the only fresh things were two containers of yogurt). We have stayed at a number of B&Bs in Italy and this was one of the more ordinary ones. I thought it was a bit expensive for the location and lack of ambience.
Massimo is so helpful and frendly!!!
Fantastic for the price, would definitely go back.
We will for ever remember this beautiful place. Very home like feel, sweet and helpful people. My next trip close to Alba I will be at Casa Bona.
The room was very clean and had a great balcony. The owner was very friendly! It was a great place to stay.
The location is a bit out of the way, but easily walking distance to the center.
The room was lovely and clean, breakfast was in the room to enjoy as we pleased, and the staff were accommodating and friendly. I would love to come back. Thank you!
This was our 2nd stay at B&B Casa Bona and we loved it again to stay here. Very friendly and welcoming hosts, lovely rooms, grat location, the delicious cake!
Attention to details, very good customer service and very good location. I will definitely go back again. Italian hospitality at its best !!
Very nice Ikea-styled apartment loft. The location is great.
1) Second time we've been here in two years both times we were told the credit card machine is broken. Its an inconvenience to say the least. 2) Although certainly not an issue, it is worth noting that this is not a typical bed and breakfast, but rather an apartment style loft with a stocked (basic) kitchen.
Felt like home. Massimo was wonderful and most helpful. He went out of his way to make our stay very pleasant
voices carry in the building so at times was noisy
This is a lovely B&B. It is only a few minutes on foot to the city center which was great. Free parking is provided on site. Our room was tastefully decorated. It shared a terrace/balcony with the room next door. A great place to come with another couple. The bedroom was a good size and the double bed was very comfortable. There was a glass divider separating the small kitchenette from the bedroom. Breakfast preparation was provided in the fridge. The owners were extremely hospitable! (Obrigada Maximo pela sua gentileza e seus conselhos para conhecer a rota do vinho.) Unfortunately on the morning we left there was going to be a Barolo tasting festival in the city center. (Poor planning on our part!)
There were no English language news channels.
Massimo was a great host and always full of sweet gestures and wonderful suggestions. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the accommodations - this was one of the best B&Bs we have every stayed in (at any price point)!
Very friendly staff Large, modern apartment Ability to have breakfast in apt.( all groceries were supplied in the kitchen) Quiet location
Did not accept credit cards -cash only
spontainious espresso and cake on the balcony, next to the city centre, free wifi in the room, good privat parking
small room, noisy street, basic do it yourself breakfast offered in the room.
