Beautiful rooms with frescos that you would expect for twice the cost! Very kind staff. Convenient location.
Andrea and Matteo were welcoming and extremely helpful in all respects. The location is perfect for getting to all the sights of Florence and it is quiet yet close to bus stops. We loved the morning cappucinos and the breakfast bar was good. We also appreciated the complimentary wine and biscotti!
There were no negatives for us because they carried our baggage up the stairs for us :-)
location, staff, value for money
not anything to dislike really, would stay again if back in Florence
staff was very friendly and helpful, the hotel is very close to the center of Florence, 5 minutes walking to get to the major attractions. The room was quite big and clean. The breakfast consist of sweets, cakes, cheese, ham, fruit. Tea, coffee, and juices. Also it was possible to have coffee any time during the day for free.
Location away from tourist areas
Super friendly and hospitable staff, good location, sparkling and (for Europe) roomy bathroom.
The stairway. Be sure to ask about the light switches!
The large room and bathroom were very comfortable, with easy access to the kitchen made us feel like we had an entire apartment to ourselves. The location-close to all sights but located in a quieter, less touristy neighborhood on the other side of the Arno was very welcome after a long day sight-seeing. The hosts were very helpful and attentive, and even allowed our daughter, studying abroad in Florence, to stay there for "free."
The wifi was intermittent, but the hosts addressed it immediately. In general, wifi isn't great in Florence.
everything especially andreiu help, care and assistance
nothing to dislike
Just returned from our stay in the Home in Florence b&b. Made extremely welcome by the very helpful Matteo. The room was clean/spacious and the breakfasts were a great start to the day. Good location with just a short walk to the city center. Would recommend highly.
Friendly helpful considerate staff- Clean and quiet and spacious room.Very nice breakfast area and accessible at all times for tea or coffee breaks. Close to all the sites for tourists.
No negatives that we can think of.
Excellent help from Matteo, thank you for your warm welcome! Nice and comfortable rooms, 2 min walk to Santo Spirito with great bars and restaurants. 15 min walk to the strict historical city center. Private parking on additional charge nearby
No breakfast, that would be nice. Hard to park and get out of the area without a huge traffic
Staff was excellent. I'd like to send special thanks for Matteo. I contacted him about our late arrival and he stayed up up to 2am to wait for us and ensured we checked in nicely. Overall we had a great stay in Home in Florence B&B.
Great location. Staff were very friendly and went out of their way to make my stay a pleasant one.
Matteo was very helpful and made us feel at home
good location, friendly staff, clean rooms
wifi doestnt work after 22-23
- Very friendly staff - Rooms with nice interiors - Close to piazza san spirito - Laid back breakfast concept - Daily excercise through stair climbing ;)
The cool quiet room, large king size bed was very comfy, old traditional furniture really sets the scene, large windows with shutters means you can let cool air in and have windows open, help yourself to a continental breakfast and coffee, the staff are friendly, really helpful and not too obtrusive, Matteo welcomed us and there was a bottle of Chianti with nibbles waiting for us, and on departure a small gift of biscotti to take home, the guys helped with geography, and even sourced insect repellant! We will go back. Lovely quiet area on the street, very close to the square where you get the most geogeous sun downs among lovely authentic restaurants and bars.
The breakfast would have been much nicer with some toast and butter, maybe boiled eggs... having said that there was loads of choice of cereals, biscuits, pastries and cakes, fruit juice, coffee and fresh fruit.
the very good location the nice staff
The personal was excellent, they answered all our questions kindly and suggested us some places to visit. The hotel is located at the less crowded and the quieter part of the city.
Wi-fi didn't work properly at night but that wasn't a big deal.
The two staff members, Matteo and Andreas, really could not have been more helpful. They are relatively new at this line of work, and so may become a little more jaded over time, but we really loved them. My wife's baggage had been lost by an airline, and they made calls and monitored the situation all the way through (the baggage arrived just hours before our 3-day stay ended). Matteo taught me a lot about Italian culture in a few informal talks about art, literature and history.
we received such a friendly welcome, the staff spoke about florence; places to visit and good places to eat! The hotel was very secure, there were two locked doors before you reach your room in which the staff are around most of the day. We were shown around the kitchen area and shown how to use the coffee machine; all food and drink was avaiable 24 hours which was fantastic after long days exploring Florence. We had a perfect stay here, thank you!
That we had to come home :(
Nice location, and it's cheap
Noisy room on a road, so we asked to be moved to a room at the back. Also, the bathroom in our original room was old and smelly. The new room was a lot better. The breakfast was pretty terrible and the rolls on the first day were mouldy.
Our hosts were very helpful - good restaurant suggestions. Great location in Florence, easy walk to the major sites & to restaurants. Good coffee & breakfast area always open.
The location was excellent - near the city and attractions but on a quiet street so no noises to disturb your sleep. Florence is a small city so you don't need a car or public tranportation to explore the city. The walk from the main railway station was about 15 minutes but it was fine even with our heavy backpacks. Our room was huge with very big double bed, bunk bed and a separate, own bathroom. The room was behind the breakfast room but that didn't bother at all. Breakfast was very good and snacks/coffee was served all day in the breakfast room. Coffee was excellent! The stuff was friendly and almost always available in the lobby. The Wi-Fi worked well. We would definately recommend Home In Florence!
Our room was quite dusty and the shower was very small (even though the bathroom itself is huge). The pressure in the shower was not very good.
