The two staff members, Matteo and Andreas, really could not have been more helpful. They are relatively new at this line of work, and so may become a little more jaded over time, but we really loved them. My wife's baggage had been lost by an airline, and they made calls and monitored the situation all the way through (the baggage arrived just hours before our 3-day stay ended). Matteo taught me a lot about Italian culture in a few informal talks about art, literature and history.
we received such a friendly welcome, the staff spoke about florence; places to visit and good places to eat! The hotel was very secure, there were two locked doors before you reach your room in which the staff are around most of the day. We were shown around the kitchen area and shown how to use the coffee machine; all food and drink was avaiable 24 hours which was fantastic after long days exploring Florence. We had a perfect stay here, thank you!
That we had to come home :(
Nice location, and it's cheap
Noisy room on a road, so we asked to be moved to a room at the back. Also, the bathroom in our original room was old and smelly. The new room was a lot better. The breakfast was pretty terrible and the rolls on the first day were mouldy.
Our hosts were very helpful - good restaurant suggestions. Great location in Florence, easy walk to the major sites & to restaurants. Good coffee & breakfast area always open.
The location was excellent - near the city and attractions but on a quiet street so no noises to disturb your sleep. Florence is a small city so you don't need a car or public tranportation to explore the city. The walk from the main railway station was about 15 minutes but it was fine even with our heavy backpacks. Our room was huge with very big double bed, bunk bed and a separate, own bathroom. The room was behind the breakfast room but that didn't bother at all. Breakfast was very good and snacks/coffee was served all day in the breakfast room. Coffee was excellent! The stuff was friendly and almost always available in the lobby. The Wi-Fi worked well. We would definately recommend Home In Florence!
Our room was quite dusty and the shower was very small (even though the bathroom itself is huge). The pressure in the shower was not very good.
Nice and helpful staffs:-)
Nice place in the city center, kind people. Zuzana+ Jaroslav (Piešťany, Slovakia)
Absolutely fantastic staff - really made the experience great, offered just the right amount of help. Great value - good location just 5 min walk to city center, also near good local restaurants and shops. Good room size and had all the essentials. Would certainly recommend.
Quiet room Good to have easy access throughout the day. Clean and comfortable. Very helpful hosts Located in an interesting area away from the tourist rush yet close enough to walk to anywhere easily.
Fantastic location and the staff were very helpful.
Breakfast was very basic, but we expected this so not really an issue.
This was our 2nd time in Florence but 1st time staying on that side of the river; we absolutely loved it! B&B was 400m only away from ponto vechio but staying in this neighbourhood also meant quiet nights away from hustle and bustle of the historic center, genuine amazing trattorias and restaurants where locals go and a real feel of the city! The room we stayed in was spacious and though the decor was on the minimalistic side it was superbly clean and had everything one might need. Stuff was really nice, we felt very welcomed. Hoping to bring my mother to Florence this September, definitely will be booking the room there again.
The location is excellent. You are within walking distance from the main attractions but still in a residential and quiet neighbourhood. Piazza Santo Spirito is really nearby and it is a fantastic place to have a drink or a meal, especially at night, when it becomes really vibrant with people that get together just to talk and have a good time. The rooms at B&B are really spacious and the guests have a 24-hour access to the kitchen and all the beverages and food in it (including in the fridge), with no extra charge. Finally, the staff is really nice and helpful from the first to the last minute and attended all my requests. I really enjoyed my stay at B&B and next time I visit Florence I will definitely book it again.
Poor WiFi connection in the room. I only had good connection early in the morning or late at night. You shouldn't expect much of the breakfast, but the 24-hour access to the kitchen somehow compensates the lack of variety. Depending on the room you stay, you may find the kitchen right outside your door and it may be a little bit noisy in the morning. If you carry heavy luggage, beware of the stairs (just think it is part of the attraction of this kind of lodgings).
Perfect location away from the maddening tourist crowds! Lovely decor and very very clean.
Wi fi wouldn't work unless I stood right next to it.
Coming home late and having the kitchen with coffee machine and dessert wine available. The comfortable feeling of home. Comfortable beds. The room decor. Massimiliano's professionalism and friendliness. Clean rooms The bottle opener readily available.
Friendly, nice and very helpful staff!
Shower has not height adjustment, so while showering is needed to use a shower cap, if you don't intend to wash your hair. Unfortunately, it is not added to the set of cosmetics.
nice service from the first minute in the hotel, short attractions introduction given by the reception guy is useful for those who haven't been to Florence
Great location, away from the crowds yet close to everything. Lovely and very friendly staff. Ensuite bathroom and toilet (rare in Florence). Large and extremely quiet rooms.
Note that the hotel is on the second floor and there is no elevator (common in Florence B&Bs).
Good location Very fair price Nice and helpful staff Silent
Very friendly, helpful staff.
Hospitable owners, quit street, not bad location (5 minutes to Santo Spirito with lots of tasty cafés, up to 10 minutes to Pitti Palace)
Everything was OK, the only thing I didn't like is that the room was rather dark and not cosy. And also it's a little bit far from the train station - about 20 minutes
I really wasn't expecting this experience. We arrived by taxi and found ourselves in front of an ordinary building that stood up we nothing to difference it from the surrounding ones. From here i might say we ploughed in to a real florentin experience. Lovely room Botticelli high sealing with wonderful and discrete paintings, teracota floor and really old furniture but well kept and only with a dash of picturesque squeak. The bed instead really new anttic still and very comfortable. Made us feel like living there not just visiting. Great host Masimilliano able to give pint point direction and very obliging without being invasive. And location ... easy walk everywhere it matter on authentic Florence streets. We will definitely visit again this BB
Creepy steer house The bathroom although very equipped with shower bathtub and bide was to modern and had a faulty WC seat Not enough plugs for a modern traveler
Loved the neighborhood. Great adorable room. Easy walk to local delicious restaurants and to Ponte Vecchio and the heart of Florence.
The only negative was intermittent internet connections.
Masimilliano was a very gracious host, recommending restaurants, booking our Tuscany tour and generally seeing to our needs. The room was clean and kept that way for our entire stay. It was off the beaten path and relatively quiet, yet a short walk to Piazza Santo Spiritu and its restaurants, coffee shops and morning open-air market. The walk to the Ponte Vecchio and City Centre was reasonable and we did it almost every day.
The 37 steps up a couple of times every day. We are in our 70s.
- location (close to piazza Santo Spirito and the city centre) - room (good bed, all facilities present) - the breakfast room (coffee, tea, water, snacks at our disposal 24h) - the staff (always helpful) - everything was very clean - the room rate (good value for money: after all, you're staying in the city centre of Florence!)
- the bathroom (old, small) - the wifi connection: did not always work - the breakfast is not soo good, and for the same money you can buy a much nicer breakfast in one of the coffee bars close by)
Paolo is very friendly and hospitable manager; Spacious rooms; Clean and large bathrooms; Quiet location; Wi-Fi; Reasonable prices.
