Elena ( the main staff) was very friendly! She made an amazing breakfast every morning and our room was always beautiful when we came home. Gabriella the proprietor was absolutely a joy! She recommended an amazing restaurant that lead us on quite an adventure that was the best time of our trip.

The picture in the add showed that it was right on the canal but actually it was an alley away. Not a big deal, still great

    Not one thing!

Towels were very dingy...dried outside the window of living/dining area. Maid/attendant was very rude We were never allowed in the living area except during breakfast, and at time we were seated at the table. Breakfast was a joke...2 crousants the size of a small weiner, small glass of juice and coffee. Bed was very small, room was very small, air-conditioning was horrible, window view was across the walkway (about 3 feet wide) to next building. Desk was so small we had no place to put anything, no place to use computer. Only 1 small straight chair in room...other person sat on bed. TV was about 13" and had nothing but Italian stations...not one in Enflish. Pillows smelled musty and made allergies go crazy. We left after 2nd night and forfeited 2 nights prepaid rent in order to get out of there! /

The biggest test of any place to sleep is would you go back and use it again. We definitely would try to book this B&B if we ever go back to Venice. Some of the negative reviews on TripAdvisor were a worry, but you have to remember that it is a B&B not a big fancy hotel. It was comfortable, relatively easy to find and the "rules" were acceptable to us. Have breakfast and then go and explore Venice.

The mosquitoes loved my pale white skin, and I had to watch the World Cup Final with an Italian commentary. In other words nothing serious enough to moan about.

Good location -10 to 20 min to major sites and crossing from the lower to upper parts of the city. Nice that you can walk from the train station - ask for directions though. If you take the vaparetto then make sure you buy at least a 24 H pass

Too many rules and very rude about getting your arrival time

We loved the room, the staff, the cleanliness and location! Truly the perfect spot for a weekend away without kids! The breakfast was good but very simple. We would stay there again for sure!

Location. Quiet and 250 mtres from s.stae waterbus. One or two nice restaurants, turn right when leaving b&b.

More choice at breakfast. Cereals possibly ham, eggs etc would have been good. No shampoos etc in bathroom. Stayed 5days bedding not changed.Towels should be changed without asking. Also difficult to find. This may help, get off at S STAE go left cross little bridge and follow canalside path to 2006a do not leave this path.

The lady cleaner. The comfortable bed, decent shower and quiet air conditioning. The venetian period interior.

Having to pay 30 euros for arrival at B&B after 8.30pm. Oui mon general..the somewhat officious attitude of the owner...you must sit there etc.

We like the staff at B&B Cà Del Modena. They are trustworthy. Our room has a private bath facility which we like a lot! It is located in a quiet narrow alleyway. The day we arrived, there was a water taxi strike. So we couldn't follow the direction provided by the B&B. Luckily, the local Venetians are so friendly and they go out of their way to lead us to the B&B. I enjoy the breakfast room and wished they have it open all the time for guests to enjoy. I would like to get back and sit in the breakfast room to reflect on the beauty of Venice before going back into my room. The breakfast was satisfactory. We got plenty of food. Always love the coffee.

The TV didn't work for the first couple of days. Not sure about the AC system? Why it can only be operative after June? There could be more storage area. Or, at least the dresser should has a working handle. It kept on falling off. The B&B is located on the second floor which means we have to carry our luggage up with no elevator. Good we packed light!

Location is nice, fairly peaceful street, not many tourists around, 10 minute walk from Rialto bridge, 20 min from St. Marks square.

Costly. Breakfast very simple. Didn't like being kicked out of the room every morning at 10am for cleaning, even though we asked that it was not necessary to have it cleaned every day.

Great location, small and an original Venetian residence. Melba, the House keeper was absolutely sensational- she was very helpful with hints about Venice, very happy and delight to see each morning. We would definitely go back.

Nothing to complain about all excellent.
