Lara is a fantastic hostess, she sets an amazing breakfast. Best coffee in Florence. She was very helpful on any of visiting the local sites, and the buses to take. (Bus 22 is the main one.) This was my jumping off point to Pisa, Sienna, etc. It was like coming home in the evening, Her husband Lorenzo was as helpful, spending a lot of time with all.
Lorenzo and Lara are friendly and helpful. Lorenzo told all thing for your easy Firenze trip. All transfer alternatives , how to go and what you asked. Clean and tidy room.
Everything was good , hospitality was very good and also they guide u well abt wat to see around. Etc.very tasty breakfast...
From the moment we arrived we felt like very special guests. The location is a short bus ride from the main train station SMN. The bus is the # 22. This property is on the 6th floor of a great building with elevator and the bus stop is just outside. It is also an easy 20-25 minute walk to the Duomo. Hosts Lara and her husband Lorenzo are welcoming, helpful, and extremely accommodating. Coffee in various varieties can be made at any time and breakfast is certainly plentiful. The terrace off the breakfast area is a superb place to eat, read, or relax looking over the rooftops of Florence. The rooms are a good size, clean, and maintenanced every day. The real star here is host Lara. She speaks good English and daily goes out of her way to ensure your stay is wonderful. You could not choose a better place.
We had no problems at all. The 22 bus can be quite crowded at times, but is not a problem.
The friendliness of the staff, excellent breakfast and comfortable rooms.
I absolutely loved my stay at this incredibly cuddly and family-like B&B run by a wonderfully warm, honest & lovely "mamma Fiorentina". She greeted me at my arrival w/ a big smile, a WiFi pass & sat me down and explained how to visit all the places I absolutely had to see. The rooms are perfect, simple, very clean & her rates are incredibly reasonable compared to what the rest of the city of Florence charges. The B&B is a 20 min walk from the S.M. train station, which I easily found w/ Google Maps. Still have to see all that Florence has to offer so...I will definitely be coming back to Lara's B&B w/ my pals & girlfriend.
Great staff, clean, easy to get into the city.
The showers kept changing from boiling hot to cold without me touching the nozzle.
Lorenzo, the owner, was so nice and gave us useful advice on the city and its attraction. He was friendly, welcoming and helping. B&B is on the sixth floor and thus has a great view. Bus stop is so close and Lorenzo helped us to get the best deal for bus ticket.
Cleanliness, Breakfast Helpful host
Very helpful owner, clean, shared kitchenette facilities.
The accommodation is hard to find as it is in a large apartment block and there is no obvious signage. Location is a bit out of the city center but there is a bus that runs often from right outside the hotel.
The hosts Lara and Lorenzo were very nice, friendly and extremely helpful. They made a real effort to make my stay successful and enjoyable. The kitchen was available to be used by guests which was an extra benefit.
The breakfast could be improved. It would be good to have fresh croissants and maybe some toast might be offered for those who like it.
Very friendly and helpful staff; home-like atmosphere; very clean; nice lovely terrace with a view of the mountains.
Friendly owner Lorenzo :) Cleanliness
Towels like sheet.
Communication was excellent by Lorenzo before I even got there. Seriously, Lorenzo couldn't have done more for me to help with transport ( bus outside the door )- where to go and what to see- locating supermarkets- eating spots and generally having a conversation as though we were friends for ages. Highly recommend it!
I did suggest perhaps a warm selection of breakfast items. Because it is a little distance from the action and I walked heaps, you do have to make an effort to get back and freshen up then come back into the centre if you plan on kicking on into the night. But all worth it as its just a bus ride, covered by the value of the place
the owners are very helpfull, they tell us where to go and when to go. show you at the map. point the destinations. where to find cheap alternative restaurants and shopping places.
the breakfast area is at the common holl where is the rooms around. the mornings are became noisy because of that.
What a lovely b&b! Clean and neat..the best is the friendly help from Lara, from the moment we got there. She helped us book our Tuscan wine tasting tour and a skip the line entance at a gallery. Told us all about Florence and the sale at the leather market! I can't wait to visit Florence again...
Room Breakfast Cleanliness Hospitality
Building lift only (can be ignored at this price)
Almost everything. Room, breakfast, equipment and landlord. wifi.
location. a little far from center. But there is a bus. and it's difficult to find.
Clean, comfortable space, very friendly hostess. We arrived late afternoon and went out for the evening, left early to catch a flight so only had brief interaction. Lara left us breakfast because we were gone by the time breakfast started!
On the sixth floor - but there's a quaint old elevator
The owners, Lara and Lorenzo are a very nice and friendly couple. Lara ispeaks English fluently. Great location. There is a bus stop right in front of the building, nice restaurants nearby and also convenent stores. Breakfast is really good and Lara makes the best capuccino!
Lara and Lorenzo were excellent hosts- helped giving advise on sights to see and parking. Spacious breakfast area. Breakfast was very good, nice variety. Walk to the major sights was about 25 minutes but there is a bus that stops right by the B&B, so it is easy to get to downtown.
We had 2 rooms and One of the rooms was pretty small (room #2) , the other one was spacious (room # 5).
Host, wi-fi, linen
Everthing! From the hostess, Lara, to the location, to the charming place and everything in between.
We had no complaints!
Lara's friendly welcome. Large room. Bathroom that worked. Good breakfast.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Within walking distance of historic centre but away from noise. Good bus links. Very clean.
Breakfast was disappointing. Would have preferred narrower selection but with fresh bread, croissants etc. Also some seasonal fresh fruit and real orange juice would have been welcome.
