Breakfast was amazing. Staff helpful and we accepted the offer of a cheap ride to train station.
The location and breakfast were great.
We had a very small room. We had to keep our suitcases on the floor. There was no place to hang wet towels and the shared bathrooms were very basic.
Very friendly hosts, especially the ladies who make breakfast. Very accommodating.
The bathrooms are a bit small and there isn't much space to put your things.
The B&B is located within the walls of the old town of Lucca. The breakfast was good, with staff being very helpful to ensure we had enough to eat.
The shared bathrooms are not very clean (shower mat drenched and slightly smelly, for instance). The room was also a bit noisy as there was a small supermarket right outside with delivery trucks early in the morning, and a moto park right below the windows.
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, great location
If you are driving, park outside the walls and walk in because driving inside the walls is a nightmare
Fantastic location and staff. Very clean bedrooms.
Terribly shabby bathrooms that we're not clean or cleaned every day, with old bath mats and wet floors into hallway. Below standard.
Breakfast where most charming ladies prepare coffee, juice and daily food selection in a cheerful atmosphere.
Very nice staff and good breakfast.
Our room was not in the main building so we had to walk with our bags in the next morning to have breakfast. The room was old fashioned with a bad bed (two mattresses for a double bed) and infested with mosquitos. The bathroom was really old and the shower was not working well.
Clean, comfortable and had character. Good breakfast served by friendly and hard working staff (even got a rendition of 'o sole mio' by one of the ladies :-) Central location; value for money; staff helpful with info & arranging taxis etc.
The location is great, right in the centre of historic Lucca. The staff were friendly and helpful and the double room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. All was very clean and we had a lovely stay, would come again.
The hosts are fabulous at this old-fashioned pensione: two lovely ladies served a massive breakfast, and the father even interrupted his ironing of sheets to drive us to the station. Everything was clean and comfortable.
I loved La Torre: I hope they never update their old-fashioned furniture and decor. I didn't mind the flights of stairs and outdated bathrooms.
The place was clean and well maintained. The location was perfect as it was centrally located within the old town.
great hosts, breakfast that was included was so big that we were full and served by lovely lady. perfect location.
breakfast was great
the room was not located where the reception and breakfast was but a 5 to 10 minute walk away. wifi only available in reception area. room hot as no aircon and very noisy with windows open.
As an overall our stay was enjoyable; good location; pleasant staff and amazing breakfast (including both of the ladies preparing it) - fresh ingredients, can ask for whatever you want. Definitely recommended if you're doing a cheap traveling - really good value for money.
The staff was incredibly friendly! The B&B is walking distance to everything in the center of Lucca and my favorite part of the stay was the breakfast. Best breakfast at a B&B I have had in Italy and the two ladies serving were beyond gracious and made you feel like family!
The breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly! The decoration was very traditional and had a personal Italian feel. It was right in the centre of the town, although Lucca isn't very big so as long as your in the city walls you will have everything close by.
When we arrived we were told we would be in La Torre 2 which is a second building they own. This was not where we had breakfast and had no wifi. It also was a bit damp and the bed/pillows weren't very comfortable. It would have been nicer to stay in the main BnB so I would recommend checking where you room is actually going to be!
First of all staff is great! They are so helpful and sweet. Location is great! You are stayin in the middle of everything :) Breakfast was fair enough. And old ladies serving breakfast were so cute! Lucca is charming...
had to park outside the old city, bathroom facilities shared - people did not leave them in good condition, noisey ouside early morning when Despar deliveries arrived. TV did not work
VERY freindly man who owns the hotell. There are two seperate locations where you can stay, so you might have to stay a little bit further down the street from La Torre, but it is not far at all. The owner speaks fluently English which was very helpful when planning the rest f of the trip. Breakfast was also good and served by two very happy and loving ladies.
I stayed at La Torre with my family and it was very pleasant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent.
I drove and was not sure where to park my car overnight. Ended up parking outside the wall and was told it was safe to do so.
Staff is just wonderful. Such amazing and nice people, with such a hospitality and nice breakfast.
Staff Breakfast Location
Nice breakfast, friendly staff
Bathrooms were awful Location on a busy, noisy corner bedroom tiny
- Location is superb. The B&B is located in the heart of the city, inside the old walls. The only supermarket within the walls is right next door, Despar. Prices aren't cheap, but if you need any essentials, it's right there. We walked to the B&B from the train station with our large backpacks on & it only took us 15 minutes. - The double room was very spacious & comfortable. We had a TV, desk, mirror, bedside tables, a large bed and a little snack table with chairs. There was a tall pedestal fan in our room which made for a very comfortable sleep. - Breakfast was sensational. We were served by two gorgeous Italian ladies who treated us like royalty. The fresh produce from their farm was some of the best fruit I've had in my life. - Bathrooms were spotless and well decorated. - The staff were exceptional. They provided us with maps of the city, recommended activities & pointed out places of interest to us. They were extremely friendly, especially the two breakfast ladies. I will be recommending Bed & Breakfast La Torre to everyone who is intending on travelling to Lucca. We had a wonderful time in the city, largely thanks to our experience at La Torre. If you want to go out to a restaurant for dinner, I would recommend Ammodonostro. The ambience was incredible, food exceptional & prices were very reasonable. They even have a gluten free menu!
