Spacious room and bathroom, ample breakfast and attentive staff. Marco took us out to his favorite gelato spot! We loved Lucca.
I loved the breakfast and the wonderful ladies who served it
Central location but almost impossible to find by yourself.
No hot water, breakfast, receptionist Marco was rude.
Central location Quirky Great hospitality, breakfast and really entertaining Very helpful
Basic bathroom facilities
Very friendly welcome,a gentleman who spoke english and was very helpful in giving us advice as to restaurants and train information. The happy ladies who served breakfast were a joy to behold.
The many narrow stairs to our room.
The state of shared bathroom very old and rundown
Mama...was a sweet soul made you feel at home. Breakfast was excellent wonderful people. Loves Canadians as her son lived in Canada
Some of the facilities like sheets and pillows are a bit worn and need to be replaced
Nice people. Very helpful. Good location. Not expensive. Served a very nice breakfast at our leisure.. Recommend this facility for the not too picky traveler.
Two questionable bathrooms for four rental rooms. Potentially eight people using them. Obviously created out of an obsolete building. Some credit has to be given for the effort.
Great breakfast, friendly people
excellent breakfast and entertaining hosts!
annex beds are only fair, and bathrooms are pretty basic.
Breakfast was amazing. Staff helpful and we accepted the offer of a cheap ride to train station.
The location and breakfast were great.
We had a very small room. We had to keep our suitcases on the floor. There was no place to hang wet towels and the shared bathrooms were very basic.
We stayed only for one night. The strongest points: a very good breakfast and helpful and friendly owners. The room was big. At check out, we were transported to our car, outside the old town (ZTL). I believe it was OK for the money we paid, considering it was a big holiday that evening, with lots of tourists in the city. Finding a parking spot was difficult.
We slept in an annex (a house 400 m away, but within the old city walls, no WiFi) and we took the breakfast at the main location. The furniture looked very outdated and I didn't like the aspect of the bathroom (it was functional though).
Very friendly hosts, especially the ladies who make breakfast. Very accommodating.
The bathrooms are a bit small and there isn't much space to put your things.
The B&B is located within the walls of the old town of Lucca. The breakfast was good, with staff being very helpful to ensure we had enough to eat.
The shared bathrooms are not very clean (shower mat drenched and slightly smelly, for instance). The room was also a bit noisy as there was a small supermarket right outside with delivery trucks early in the morning, and a moto park right below the windows.
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, great location
If you are driving, park outside the walls and walk in because driving inside the walls is a nightmare
Fantastic location and staff. Very clean bedrooms.
Terribly shabby bathrooms that we're not clean or cleaned every day, with old bath mats and wet floors into hallway. Below standard.
Breakfast where most charming ladies prepare coffee, juice and daily food selection in a cheerful atmosphere.
Very nice staff and good breakfast.
Our room was not in the main building so we had to walk with our bags in the next morning to have breakfast. The room was old fashioned with a bad bed (two mattresses for a double bed) and infested with mosquitos. The bathroom was really old and the shower was not working well.
Clean, comfortable and had character. Good breakfast served by friendly and hard working staff (even got a rendition of 'o sole mio' by one of the ladies :-) Central location; value for money; staff helpful with info & arranging taxis etc.
The location is great, right in the centre of historic Lucca. The staff were friendly and helpful and the double room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. All was very clean and we had a lovely stay, would come again.
The hosts are fabulous at this old-fashioned pensione: two lovely ladies served a massive breakfast, and the father even interrupted his ironing of sheets to drive us to the station. Everything was clean and comfortable.
I loved La Torre: I hope they never update their old-fashioned furniture and decor. I didn't mind the flights of stairs and outdated bathrooms.
The place was clean and well maintained. The location was perfect as it was centrally located within the old town.
great hosts, breakfast that was included was so big that we were full and served by lovely lady. perfect location.
breakfast was great
the room was not located where the reception and breakfast was but a 5 to 10 minute walk away. wifi only available in reception area. room hot as no aircon and very noisy with windows open.
