Great location to the sites in Florence. Helpful proprietors.
The fact that the B&B is located on 3rd floor with no lift.
Franco was great very helpful . Comfortable and spacious room . Nice breakfast
3 floors up , no lift but bags lifted by winch
Franco's hospitality was top notch! The room was nicely decorated & cozy. The location was superb- next to the Duomo. He gave great recommendations of places to eat & visit & he kindly coordinated transportation. He is charming & his B&B is a gem. I will definitely come back again!
Franco was very helpful and kind
3 floors up with luggage, the mattresses need an upgrade, wi-fi coverage and performance very poor
The eccentricity and humour of Franco. The terrace The friendliness and hospitality of Franco and his partner. The location
The breakfast was basic.
The location was absolutely perfect! It was just a minute to the Duomo; however, the bells were distant and didn't wake you up, which was nice. Excellent wifi, excellent information from the owner and his partner. Franco was very helpful in all respects, and had a good sense of humor. His partner was extremely sweet and helpful as well. Though the room we had was up some small stairs, it was nicely appointed and had good access to the roof. I highly recommend this property when you are in Florence.
Having to bring our bags up the stairs, but we knew about that in advance. The AC in our room was not cool enough, but Franco was able to work that small issue out and was glad to help make my cousin and I very comfortable.
So close to everything, cute and spacious rooms and lovely helpful hosts.
Breakfast was nice but basic and the air conditioner worked well but the room still got a little warm at night
Once there and settled, the room was okay. The owners are very nice and try to be helpful. Breakfast was good. The location is great, once we found it. And, the view from the terrace is breathtaking!
Three flights of narrow stairs with signs posted regularly to 'please not bump into the walls with your luggage'. We were not provided directions, so I depended on Google Map, which was inaccurate. We wasted a lot of time and energy walking around looking for the place. The locals were no help. The 'shower' is the three feet of space between the sink and the commode! I took a picture, it was so funny!
Superb location, flexible arrival times and very friendly, English-speaking staff :) Grazie!
Hosts were super kind and very helpful. Location could not be beter, it's in pure center. Room was cute and clean. If we come again in Florence, this will be our choice again. :)
Super hosts, very friendly and welcoming. We were given lots of recommendations upon arrival of what to see during our visit. Accommodation was excellent and close to many attractions.
Clean place, good location close to duomo, kind staff that is very willing to give you advice
No seperate shower (just a curtain in the bathroom), can be quite loud outside, limited breakfast, maybe too much advice provided?
100m to the Duomo Easy access from the train station Friendly owner Breakfast Local Advice Comfortable bed Terrace with view of the Duomo
Warm welcome, very kind and funny hosts. Clean room, comfortable bed. The best position in Florence: 1 min walk to the Dome. Amazing view from the roof terrasse. Good breakfast. A special thanks to Franco and his wife!
Very noisy american students neighbourhood, they have made a party in our first night, on their own close terrasse. Our host, incredible Franco, changed our room next morning and the second one was very quiet. In fact, the only negative point for this location is the lack of the distinctive showerplace in the bathroom.
The location is great - 2 min to DUOMO, exactly in the center and can walk everywhere. No need fo the public transport.
No elevator unfortunately, which is understandable as the buidling is an old one. Probably is not too good for girls travelling alone and the ones who love shopping. The hosts help with the luggage.
geographical location - all main sites are reachable within minutes on foot. The owners are nice.
- the staff were excellent . - internet were free and good .
- my room was in the 4th floor .. no elevator .
Franco is an amazing host. He is so welcoming, friendly and helpful to his guests. It is 2 mins by walk from the Duomo so it is in an excellent location
The stairs, but I knew about it while I was booking so it did not come as a surprise. Franco also helped with his special tools to lift the luggage so it was not a big deal. The room again could be improved but it is ok in the context of B&B.
This hotel was my worst experience in Italy. The owner invades your private space, in the first few minutes I was there he hugged or tried to touch me me at least 5 times. While showing my passport, I was told if the toilet clogged there would be a charge of 420 Euros! The key to my room broke off in the lock the first time I used it and they tried to blame me, getting very angry and did not calm down till I said I thought I should leave. Which I sincerely wish I had, it only got worse. (It was late in the day and Florence was packed at the time, I had no where else to go) The owners fight and insult each other. The entire hotel is small, dirty, old and run down, it smells of mildew, there is no lift and they are on the 4th floor, the rooms are noisy all night long. On the morning of departure I was waiting for a phone call from a travel agent and they did not let me know he had returned my call. Which resulted in my train tickets costing me extra money and taxi fare to get to the train station in time. Had I got the proper tickets bus fair was included. When the travel agent finally got a hold of me at my next hotel he told me they had blamed me for leaving early and slandered me regarding the broken key. Implying I had broken it on purpose. In short, beware of this hotel, if you want to stay where going back to your room means being insulted and inappropiate remarks made stay at B&B Novencento.
The location is excellent. The staff is very friendly and helpfull.
There is no elevator.
The location could not have been more central to the Duomo! The view from the rooftop terrace was beyond breathtaking. We brought a bottle of wine up and didn't want to leave! The staff was very friendly and helpful during our entire stay. It was also very quiet considering you are in the center of the city.
There are four flights of stairs to get to the b&b and no lift. We were there in September, so heat wasn't an issue, but the ac doesn't stay on when you are out of the room, so I would imagine it can be quite hot in July/Aug.
Staff and location were wonderful.
Steps are the only way to the third floor.
the breakfast. A/C. The bathroom/shower. the quiet.the internet.
The 61 steps & 10 landings from the street to the unit(no elevator). lack of conv. plugs.the 8:30 breakfast(all are 8)
Perfect location right near Duomo. Wonderful hosts
No tea and coffee making facilities in room. Very basic breakfast
