Really experience the history and culture of the area in this impressive castle. Dating back to the 17th century, it was once a convent and is now a luxury hotel.

Gaetano is a great host, and his family (especially his mother..) were very nice and friendly. He had great advice about things to do and to see in the area and was very warm and kind to us. He really knows a great deal about the area and gave us good hiking maps. The place is beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast with products from the area. We really enjoyed our stay :)

My GPS wouldn't locate the address but a local vendor called for me and then had me follow him as he drove to the B&B. The owner came out and introduced himself and was very personable. He made us feel at home and asked us what time we wanted breakfast and made us dinner reservations at a great local restaurant. In the morning, breakfast was amazing with local cheeses, honey, cakes, cookies, and juice. I noticed from reviews before I booked that there were nice dogs living on the property and was a little concerned as dogs can be annoying, but the dogs stay away from the guests unless they feel welcome and they are the best behaved dogs ever. I ended up playing with the dog for a long time as I talked to the B&B owner about his experience in the region. The villa is amazing and has tall ceilings. The room was the biggest I stayed in during my trip to Italy. Highly recommended for travelers that want a comfortable and authentic experience.

At times, we had the feeling that we were intruding on the family life, as there were several generations living in the villa, and the B&B part of the villa was not completely separate from areas used by the family.
The room was very lean, comfortable and spacious. The host (Gaetano) had gone to substantial effort to make us welcome, including bottled water in the room. Gaetano also provided us with lots of information and suggestion about places to visit, provided maps and other material and really went out of his way to be helpful. The whole attitude of the B&B was welcoming, and we enjoyed our stay.
