It was a nice place to stay, right in the center.
We stayed in Rome for 3 days. It is a very good choice if you want an "bed and breakfast" hotels. Good neighborhood.. It is clean and well taken care of. The room have double bed. Every day the owner would ask us whether we liked to have new clean towels and sheets. It is very well heated and it has hot water day and night. The wifi is very good and available in the room. The breakfast is not a super buffet but they offer cappuccino, juice, fruit, cereal, toast, jam, yogurt and warm croissants made by Mario (the owner) plus some other packed deserts, and if you want something more you can asked for! (Like a second cappuccino or juice). I think that is it more than you can ask for! Mario is very friendly and nice! Very nice stay that I would definitely recommend to anyone!
The room was very spacious and clean. An excellent value for money stay! Location is almost perfect for someone who wishes to walk through the center or find a bus/metro station within 5 minutes walk. The owner, Mario, is very helpful with his welcoming, instructions and service.
-The building, fortunately, has an elevator, but a small one; if any guest had more baggage, it would surely be a problem. -Little noise from corridor and other rooms.
Central Rome location. Hospitality and thoughtfulness of staff. Mario is very accommodating and ready to help. Arrivederci Roma ! See you again....Highly recommended B&B...Agli Horti Sallustiani.
Location was excellent and safe area with some great restaurants close by. Mario (owner) was very welcoming and ensured our stay was very comfortable
Nothing to complain about as it met our expectations for such accomodation.
- Location is great, very close to Termini station. Neighbourhoud is safe. - Kind owner - We could leave the luggage until we had to take our flight back.
- Bathroom is tiny, warm, moistured and mold in the corners ! - Bed matras is horrible. Like sleeping on a boat ! - No WiFi in the room - Breakfast is a plastic croissant and some dry biscuits - Elevator is very small and not suited for claustrophobic people. - Owner was very mad because we did not close the door of this 1920's elevator and he had to walk 5 floors.
It was a bit difficult to find the place at first (most places in Rome are that is why they always give you street numbers), but Mario’s directions did help a lot. From the look of the outside and the entrance to the building we were a bit skeptical when we arrived, but once we entered the B&B it was better than expected. We had to take an elevator which is very tiny, but this was only uncomfortable when we had to get the luggage up to the room and back down. Our room was spacious, but the bathroom was a bit smaller (like most places in Europe). The Wi-Fi signal wasn’t very good in our room but if necessary we did go and sit in the breakfast area where the signal was much stronger. Mario was a very good host, always happy to assist with any answers we had about Rome. Breakfast was very simple, croissants, some toasted crackers, fruits and yogurt, cereal, juice, coffee and tea. We had to leave early the one morning so Mario prepared a tray with breakfast for us the night before which was very generous of him. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would definitely stay here again since we got good value for our money.
Mario is a wonderful host and helped us with all our questions and needs. He made us feel very welcome. The fresh homemade croissants each morning were delicious.
It can be a long walk to some of the sites. However, they can all be reached by walking except maybe the Vatican.
Cheerful and helpful, English-speaking staff. Good location. TV.
Wifi signal was weak in the room. Small bathroom.
The manager was very friendly and enthusiastic about making our stay positive. Do make sure you state clearly when you'll arrive as the place isn't supervised 24/7. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Close to bus stop and Repubblica station.
Breakfast was average
This Bed and Breakfast was one of the most welcoming I have stayed in. If you still need convincing just read the other comments.
Nothing to dislike.
Good location, facility and staff!
Mario went beyond a hosts reposibilities. Place was excellent close to the best Gelato shops in Italy and not too far from Rail Termini.
I had read such positive reviews about this place and it really exceeded expectations. Mario, the host goes above and beyond for his guests. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. When we arrived Mario had prepared maps with points of interest, bus numbers, useful information that we might need etc. He's friendly and knowledgeable being from Rome originally. The location was great, just a few minutes walk from the train station and all other tourist attractions. I would definitely recommend this place and if I go back to Rome I will be booking here again!
Nothing to dislike.
Great helpful Mario! Thank you a lot, we felt like at home! Nice new rooms great location!
the stuff was very friendly, the bed and pillows were very comfortable
generally the room was fairly clean engough, but we found 5-6 bugs inside our toilet and this was a bit distguisting
Room was fairly comfortable and close to train station walkable to most of the main sites. Host was very friendly.
The bathroom was tiny and crammed- the shower needed serious attention was dirty and mouldy and the shower head barely worked.
Mario!!! The best host ever! Couldn't have been more helpful! The location is good too, within about 20-30 minutes on foot you could pretty much reach all the sights. Easy access to the Metro/Termini station too.
In the interests of a fair review the bathroom was very small and quite smelly - but this is what we have come to accept from rooms in converted old houses in Italy or France so it wasn't really a problem.
The building that the b&b is in is 130 years old and has some lovely features but showing some signs of wear and tear. oMario the owner is an absolute star he can not help you enough from would you like more breakfast, to were the busses go to and from anything you would like to know Mario will help. A little note if you are staying at the b&b just outside to the left on the opposite side is a little stop that sells the best paninis and the lady lets you try the meats and cheese first to see if you like them great value at 3€ Great city great holiday that Mario made even better with all his help
Even being 5 floors could not stop the noise of the traffic if you like us like to sleep with your window open.Easy way to stop the noise shut the window
The host was unbelievably kind and welcoming:) In the morning he served lovely coffee and breakfast. Super clean and nice room facilities. Great atmosphere and comfort. I would definitely recommend this hostel.
Mario was extremely helpful, the breakfast was good & the bus & train termini within easy walking distance.
Mario's welcome & willingness to answer all questions & give relevant information was fantastic. Would not hesitate to stay there again.
Bathroom was a little cramped
The host was an outstanding help to our trip.
We stayed at Bed & Breakfast Agli Horti Sallustiani for 9 days and we loved that place a lot! The host Mario was more than friendly and hospitable. He gave us all the useful information on the main sights and suggetsted some places to eat that proved excellent! Any room service was fulfilled at our very first request. Breakfast was a pleasant meal with hot croissant and a cup of good coffee and juice. The room was clean and light. The location is great: it is a few minutes walk to the Termini railway station and 15-20 min to Colloseum. We'll definitely stay at Agli Horti Sallustiani next time we are in Rome!
