Owner and staff was super friendly
Was quite noisy from the other room and the bed is not very comfortable
Nice personnel. Lovely bathroom. Best location.
Breakfast is not worth the money. You can have better breakfast if you leave the restaurant. Hotel entrance creates ususally the first impression about the hotel -> please enhance this first impression. Cold room.
friendly staff, very central, charming overall with ok breakfast
super narrow shower, very few sockets, non-functional-TV. Maybe a bit cold this time of the year. eclectic shabby chic style maybe not for everyone.
Cozy. Quiet. Nice atmosphere. Great service. The proprietor carried my heavy bag up five flights of stairs. Excellent location.
Room was too dark. Light bulb was out in bathroom. The B&B was five flights of stairs up; I'm just glad my arthritis was not acting up.
Excellent service, great breakfast, modern decor, really cool location.
Doors are paper thin, can hear everything in the next room. Showers don't get very hot.
location, staff and owner will give you that warm welcome that you feel at home. We will definitely retrun
No sound isolation
employee Sandoz is helpful, he is very nice
water drain very slow, no hot water, tower too old & not clean, pillows are smell bad,
Location, room ambience and breakfast
Wifi was down for some of our stay
Brilliant location in centre of Como. Friendly and very helpful English speaking staff. Well presented comfortable room. Good selection of breakfast fare. Overall an excellent B&B which I would not hesitate to visit again and to recommend.
Parking was difficult, but once we found a space in the 'white zone' we left the car and spent the weekend on foot.
Very helpful staff, rooms clean with a nice view from the windows. Breakfast is self service and eaten in your rooms. Location a good compromise between the noise of the town centre and a 5 minute walk to the lake.
Water in the shower needs the temperature increasing just a little bit more.
Location, Location Location Outstanding welcome
Nothing at all
Awesome location. Many sites within walking distance. Very easy to get to Belaggio from Como. Loved listening to the church bells, very soothing!
At time of booking, we were not aware that a bar was located on ground level...a bit noisy.
This was a perfect location for our one night stay in Como. In the heart of the old part of the city. We checked in late and were met by a very helpful staff member, whose name I sadly didn't get, he willingly helped haul our heavy suitcase up the 4 flights of stairs (no elevator). The room was charming and plenty of space for the five of us. Breakfast was plain but good - it was the first time in our 2 week trip that we got freshly baked bread and croissants! I would definately stay here again and can recommend to others without hesitation.
The wi-fi signal was a bit weak, but not really an issue for us. Be aware of the lack of an elevator for those with weak knees and/or heavy luggage. (was not an issue for us though). A bit tricky to find with a car and we felt unsure if we where even allowed to drive in the narrow streets where the B&B is located. Turns out that you need a permit to drive there, which is provided by the B&B upon check in - so no worries.
Location was great
Lighting was poor especially in the bathroom. Also water was not hot enough
Asanto was charming and helpful, especially when the air con did not work. Marco had work done on it the very next day, so it was fixed and cool. Room comfortable, breakfast buffet generous with fresh meats, cheese and breads, and Asanto has a great coffee maker. The location in town is excellent and he and Marco could not have been more helpful and accomodating. Grazie mille.
Difficult to find as street sign very small. Entrance hallway dim and discouraging, though renovations are ongoing. There are 60 steps over 4 flights of stairs. We had not read anything about that, so it proved a challenge for me as I had a cold and breathing was difficult. The reward was the view, the flowers, and our very cute room.
Location, lovely rooms and decor, helpful staff
stairs...but worth it
The B&B is located in the heart of the old town - very convenient for sightseeing and restaurants. It is located in a beautiful historic renovated building. Our room was very tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. The breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented.
We arrived by car and had a difficult time locating the B&B. We didn't realize it was in a pedestrian only area. It would have been helpfully if we had been advised of this issue.
The stuff is very nice and considerate. It was a wonderful experience.
The wifi in the room is sometimes weak.
The staff was very nice and always helpfull.
Room was lovely, great location and really friendly staff. We had a fabulous time.
Could do with a sign at street level saying that the B&B was on the top floor.
Located in the center, easy access to walk in the old town.
The staff were excellent & very friendly & nothing was too much trouble. As the B&B was up 3 flights of stairs the staff carried our bags for us. The room was very comfortable with a little balcony. It was in the middle of the old town & about 10mins walk to the ferry.
There was no signage from the street so you had to make sure you had the exact address. Not a problem for us as Marco picked us up from the airport which was great after a 30 hr flight.
This could have been a very good visit if the service level have been a bit better. It's very central. The room are nice and the breakfast was good if you have in mind that you are in Italy. We where lucky but i could be hard to find a parkingplace and it costs a bit as well.
We mentioned that we would like to have a baby bed when we booked the room. We also paid for the room in advanced. But there wasn't any baby bed when we arrived and when we asked they told us that they could arrange that but we have to pay 10€ / night. We also got the information that we could borrow bikes from the place for free, but they didn't say anything about this either when i asked.
The value for money is ridiculous. In comparison you'd get a top notch room on the shores of the lake. The images on booking.com portray an excessively faltering image of the place. The breakfast was simply a shame in addition to being served in a 1.5 sqm hall. You don't feel like you're in Italy and you certainly don't get a professional service for what you pay.
