Dating back to the 11th century, Leon Bianco is in Piazza della Cisterna, one of San Gimignano’s main squares. During the summer, breakfast is served on the quiet, relaxing terrace.
Score from 579 reviews Wonderful

beautiful view and spectacular restaurant
I liked the location and the hotel was nice. We would stay there again and we would recommend it.
The whole experience at this hotel was wonderful. Staff very helpful, food couldn't fault. Didn't want to leave will certainly return and hopefully soon. Best holiday ever
Good location, awesome views from the balcony of the room
The room could be better, the bed was very soft... Very small buffet in the breakfast.
We stayed here for 3 nights in August 2014. We were very happy with our choice and would definitely recommend it. The room was large, clean and comfortable with an en-suite bathroom. Air-con, fridge and wifi all worked well. Staff was very helpful and friendly. The restaurant has an amazing view of the countryside, and is reasonably priced although we did not eat here so cannot comment on the food. The hotel is located close to one of the town gates so it is easy to drop off your luggage before parking your car if you have one. When the windows are closed, all noise is blocked out so you can sleep peacefully. If we return to San Gimignano (which we loved!), we wouldn't look for other accommodation, we would definitely stay here again.
Nothing negative to say.
staff were really nice, rooms spacious and very clean. Location is perfect, on San Gimignano's main street. Going down for breakfast and seeing the incredible country views from the large wall to wall windows is truly something special!
Nothing to dislike, honestly
This hotel is perfect for exploring as it is in the pedestrian precinct centre. The staff are particularly welcoming, the rooms are large and well appointed and the views from the back of the hotel, across the Tuscany countryside are to die for. Breakfast is good. The P2 car park is the best one for this hotel.
Very good location. 5 minutes walking to the bus station or central town of San Gimignano. Many shops and restaurants are just nearby. Large room size and comfortable bed. Front desk lady was very nice.
The space for toilet is a bit narrow, but still reasonable.
It is the first hotel after you enter the gate, just a few step of walk. And you could enjoy the view of the field from your room. The view of the restaurant of the hotel is gorgeous.
Only the rooms in second floor has balcony.
Friendly staff, clean basic rooms, comfortable bed. Nice location
No parkingplaces, closest parking lot is 24 euro per day. A little further away, 6 euro a day and a 10 minute walk.
Great location in old town yet close to public parking, amazing view of the countryside from room, large room (triple was in fact more of a two-bedroom suite)
Interior very basic, but it's no big deal. Reception staff not particularly excited to see us so late at night, but that's probably because of the World Cup finals — we were obviously a distraction
The hotel's location is really very good, close to the center of the city. Hotel staff was always available and very helpful. They speak good English. The room is spacious as is the bathroom. The restaurant attached to the hotel is extremely popular so if you would like to have dinner there, you should book in advance. The view from the restaurant is spectacular! Free wi-fi on all floors, thanks. We would definetely stay there again.
It would be good to include breakfast in the price as it is not cheap. The cheaper public parking is quite far from the hotel, so if older people had to use this, it could be a problem as the parking is a quite stiff uphill walk to the hotel. The parking closer to the hotel is quite expensive.
Fantastic location in city center and great view from terrace outside the room. Very friendly and helpfull staff.
Breakfast buffet could have been better...
- big room, big and comfortable bathroom - helpful staff, 24 hours front desk - very close to the bus station
- gets noisy in the evening and night
Staff was extremely helpful and all spoke English. Room was clean and comfortable and great location.
It was very difficult to find the hotel. We had a car and drove in circles for a while trying to find it. We finally hired a taxi driver to guide us there. Parking was easy but we did have to pay. Once we parked, we never needed to use the car again. The city is very walkable.
well furnished room with lovely old parquet floor well located
a bit noisy as overlooks high street
The view is beautiful! We had a room with a large (shared) terrace, with shadow which was wonderful.
Great location just within the old walls. Car park not far away and just 6 euro per day. Amazing view from our room (#1) and had an amazing dinner in the restaurant which we booked before arrival and secured a window table. Great hotel in a lovely place.
Lovely Spacious clean comfortable room with shared balcony and views of surrounding countryside
Great property for the price. Would stay here again anytime! Loved it.
Wonderful room with view over Tuscan hills and vine yards. In centre of San Gimignano.
Parking was 20 euros per day .
Everything, especially location on Main Street. The restaurant was fabulous too either amazing views.
Located near the entrance to the old town and really near the bus stop to and from train station. The room was nice, not extravagant but comfortable and clean. The price isn't too high and you can find everything you need in walking distance. Tourist attractions, foods, and best gelato in the world.
Too few sockets, even for two people. My friend and I cannot charge our mobile and camera at the same time.
It was our second time here and we booked the same room as last time - top floor with a small balcony overlooking the countryside. Best thing about this hotel is the location. Facilities are a little dated and having a shower without soaking the floor is a challenge. Location just inside the main entrance meant we didn't have to drag our suitcases too far.
Aged facilities, especially the shower.
perfect location, rich brakfast, nice old style design, marvelous view from the restaurant
