Hotel du Lac is in the heart of Bellagio, overlooking the main square, across from the dock. Here you can enjoy panoramic views and excellent food.

Hotel Excelsior Splendide is an Art Nouveau building of 1907. It is set on Bellagio's lakeside promenade, right in front of Lake Como and a short walk from the ferry harbor.

Excellant value, great location and friendly, helpful staff
The Hotel Bellagio is in an excellent location, and it is lovely. Also, the staff were lovely too; both warm and welcoming.
The stairs to the hotel were historic and beautiful, but.. they were very difficult to manuver with suitcases.
We were centrally located, lots of things to do within walking distance.
The stairs to the hotel, but the plus of the location really made that a minimal objection.
The view, room, staff
That you cannot control the heat/ air con - you have to ask the front desk
Centrally located Bellagio
The room was very small No warning was given about the steps leading up to reception. No kettle in the room, surprising given the number of guests from other countries.
a beautiful hotel, centrally located. Nicely furnished. Room quite spacious. very friendly and helpful staff
we were very disappointed not to be able to get a room with lake view, even having booked 7 months in advance. Shower head was patched up with tape in (an unsuccessful) attempt to hold it in place. Really the room should not have been rented out until that was properly repaired or replaced
Great location. Staff were very helpful. Good breakfast.
The rooms, decor, staff and position were all excellent.
Poor Wifi reception and no one to help bring up the luggage on arrival - travel light!
The hotel staff was great. We were surprised with lovely bottle of wine in our room to celebrate my birthday. Ask for a room with a balcony and view of the lake. Location is excellent for exploring Bellagio. Good air-conditioning and great shower. Very clean, nice breakfast included.
The entry to the hotel is up a lot of very old stone stairs. Upon arrival Danny, a staff person, carried our bags up to the lobby (elevator then available). But our departure at 6AM meant we had to muscle them down to street level. Not easy for most seniors.
We booked a double room with rooftops/hills view and during check-in, the male receptionist said we booked too late and there were no more rooms left. He tried to kick us into the basement Room #100 with large windows doors directly connected to the terrace of another building and anyone can easily climb into the room. When we told the receptionist Room #100 was not the room we booked as described in the website, he said there was a “sudden cancellation” and now there is another room with lake view available with an additional 25 euros per night. When we confronted Jane, the manager of the hotel and presented to her in paper the pictures and the text of the reservation which clearly stated, ‘double room with views of the hills or rooftops,’ she asked us not to focus on the pictures and that booking.com only faxed her information of a double room reservation. During check-in, when we asked the male receptionist a question about check-in, he said to me, “no more requests!!” He continued to blame us for ‘booking too late’ even when we have successfully booked double room with hilltop view. Even though the manager tried to pacify us by finally offering what we booked on the 2nd and 3rd day, we were just fed up with the condescending attitude of the male receptionist and the absence of a genuine apology. The décor and the view of the hotel could not make up for the condescending attitude of the staff and we were left with a very bad taste in the mouth.
Great room that is nice and comfortable! Excellent staff that gave great recommendations for restaurants and directions to get to places!
Great location, surrounded by lots of shops and restaurants, close to the attractions, and opposite the port.
Room lacking a fridge & tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast does not include hot food e.g. Eggs, bacon, sausages.
Being away! And the wonderful Italian people
Friendly staff. The rooms are spacious with a lovely, clean large bathroom. Great shower. Balcony overlooking the lake. You can really appreciate the sunrise & sunset. Incredible. Great location to bars, shops & restaurants. Short walking distance to ferry. Cannot fault this hotel. Will happily return.
Having to leave!
view out of window ' location ' food ' room
Could do with tea making facilites
Everything Staff is excellent
It was a clean room.
Very basic room No proper curtains in room so very bright - woken early! No bottled water supplied - just a plastic cup in bathroom. No other facilities Roof terrace very dirty no where to sit
Great old hotel in the heart of bellagio. Good value for money
Location close to the town. Great hotel much better than I expected.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly
Stairs to reception but the staff help with luggage and the view from the room worth it
The Bellagio Hotel is set back 38 steps off the main street but once you arrive the hotel is special. The reception staff are very friendly and extremely helpful to make your stay memorable. We had the best room in the house ( 404 ) with magnificent views of the lake and mountains. If you have a early departure the hotel will arrange a breakfast bag to be left at reception for you to take with you, a great touch. Breakfast is simple but plenty of it, and the breakfast terrace is something really special. Whenever you visit Bellagio make sure you make this hotel top of the list. John. Carrying our cases up 38 steps to get to the front door.
Great view Good breakfast Central location Very helpful staff
Some steps to get luggage up
Helpful staff. Fantastic views of the lake from many rooms. Central location in Bellagio. No rush to check out.
Difficult to find a place to park to move luggage to the hotel. Breakfast a bit disappointing. Plenty of food, but no hot food options and not a lot of protein for non-meat eaters.
A truly excellent hotel.
For long distance travellers (we were from New Zealand and away for 2 months plus) we travelled light less than 25 kilos for both of us. But it would be nice to be able to get your bags carried up to the Hotel....we would have paid.
