The location in Assisi is excellent. Hotel Belvedere is definitely a place I recommend.
The restaurant wa slightly disappointing for out party. While the meal I enjoyed was excellent, the food served my wife and traveling companions was only acceptable. (I ordered off of the menu, while the other three ordered the special.)
Excellent location, a short, level walk to the bus stop. Very friendly, English speaking proprietors. Great view from our room's balcony of the Umbrian countryside.
Wi-Fi a bit spotty.
The facilities were run down and the breakfast was the worst we had in four weeks in Europe.
The staff was fantastic! Friendly and very helpful. The room &bath were small by American expectations, and while this bothered my roommate ( who has never traveled in Italy before) it wasn't a problem. Having a balcony that faced West was wonderful; there was a gorgeous moonrise the night we were there.
Don't eat in their restaurant. Food is very salty - my pasta was no better than Mac and chees, American box-style.
Professional, friendly, courteous and helpful Staff. Excellent stay.
The hotel staff was very informative and spoke excellent English. Enrico was the epitome of hospitality. In addition, the view from the Terrace was fantastic.
Everything. Maria and Enrico could not have been more welcoming. The 3rd floor terrace was a wonderful hangout. We wish we planned more time at this marvelous hotel.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, the views of the valley below we're beautiful, and the location, even though at the opposite end of the tone from San Francesco church ((only a ten minute walk), was in a quiet area and close to the bus stop. Assisi is a rare place on earth, and staying at the Belvdere made it very comfortable.
Softer pillows would be good.
The reception staff was very friendly and helpful. The location and view were great.
The mattresses were a bit hard.
Quite corner with wonderful view of countryside
The owner was very kind and helpful.
The street noise.
The view from my room was amazing. It was also very quiet. The staff was was very helpful and friendly.
A little far from some of the sites and restaurants. Uncomfortable pillows.
Great location and our room was great we had a perfect view of the country side. The owner was very. Ice and helpful. There was a restaurant right next to the hotel but it was not open in the morning.
The bed was like lying on a piece of cement. There was no continental breakfast option, with the whole town sleeping in till 9am travelers would pay for coffee and croissants ! I think it's a missed opportunity for the hotel.
Encrico and Maria were outstanding hosts! We used all of their recommendations and look forward to staying there again because of their great attitudes! Proximity of hotel to all of Assisi - to include a southerly view of the Timia River Valley.
Bed mattress was thin/firm.
We love everything about it. Quaint and old worldy. Maria is so friendly and welcoming and certainly made our stay a memorable one. We are from Australia and found the information re Assisi and eating out places wonderful. We'd certainly stay again.
Only thing could complain about, was the pillows could have been higher.
The owner went out of his way to give us suggestions/call taxi's/bus route/answer all of our questions. We even called down to the front desk late one night to ask for vinegar for my mom's leg cramps and they came through and were a life saver. The room was clean, the building had an old feel to it, location was great. It also has an elevator. I would definately stay here again!
Friendlyness and helpfulness of the owner. Total enjoyment
View from the hotel. Location. It has an elevator.
The ad said your bill would be paid in local currency...what it should have said was NO CREDIT CARDS ACCEPTED CASH ONLY. This is an older hotel and everything was well worn.
The setting was unbelievable - across the street from a centuries-old olive grove with sweeping views of the gorgeous Umbrian valley below and mountains beyond - wow! The proprietor, Rico, although an Assisi native, spoke impeccable English, was warm, kind and accommodating. Wonderful location; wonderful host; comfortable lodging.
Sweet little hotel. Absolutely perfect for my enriching experience in Assisi. Enrico and Maria were welcoming and helpful and wonderful and sweet...... I couldn't have hoped for a better stay. Loved.
Friendly staff good location Beautiful view
the owners were wonderful people- if I lived there we would become good friends
The host, Enrico, is kind and helpful and speaks flawless English.
