The Belvedere Di San Leonino is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the Tuscany countryside. The staff is very acccomodating and always ready to ensure one's stay is as close to perfection as possible. The room was clean, quiet and romantic. The pricing options for dining are flexible enough to allow changes day by day. Great location to nearby vineyards and medieval towns. We will be back!

Loved the area and the small towns, the scenery and the history Didn't like that we couldn't use the pool in the morning before breakfast or after dinner, when we were actually on site. Most people tour during the day and we were unable to use the pool at our convenience. We didn't like that restriction at all. The room we had in the basement was very damp and extremely hot. It was a beautiful room but too hot.

Not much to write home about... Except for the staff; they were really sweet people. We booked the small double room, and were given a sub-basement level room. Not fun. No warm lunches. € 2 for pool towel, internet for a charge, expensive dinner option. Not impressed.

The hotel grounds are lovely and beautifully maintained. Rooms are also very nice. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast coffee is pretty bad. Bad enough that we ate breakfast elsewhere after the first day.

Staying at Belvedere di San Leonino was one of the highlights of our vacation in Italy. We were traveling in the off-season, so arrived at the lodging later, night had fallen. Little did we anticipate the bucolic views of Tuscany that greeted us the next morning. The property is impeccably maintained in a charming way. The hosts are very gracious. The breakfast, although not included, was worth the extra stipend. It is located just outside Sienna and could be a terrific basecamp while exploring Tuscany for several days. In high season, it appears they have a restaurant on site that serves dinner. If you crave action, nightlife and bright lights, this is not your location. But if you want to be surrounded by the Tuscan countryside and unwind, look no further. Impressive pool on the property.

Room was big and clean. Bathroom was a very nice size. It is very well located in Chianti area and is in a beautiful setting. For the price, it would have been nice to have breakfast included. It is very nice but could stand something to make it "feel" more comfortable or inviting. Furnishings are nice but the grounds and sitting area could be made to feel much more elegant. Room also feels a bit cold though it is very clean, large and well furnished.

I loved the peaceful serenity of the surrounding countryside. The rooms were very comfortable, with gorgeous views of the vineyards and olive groves that make up the Chianti region. The staff went out of there way to make you comfortable, and were very helpful in setting me up in a cooking class that I was interested in taking. I'd have to say that the staff were what makes the Belvedere Di San Leonino so special.

The hotel was lovely and situated in the absolutely most beautiful part of Chianti region. The staff was very helpful when we asked about places to eat and something new to see -- this was our 2nd trip to Chianti. They have a free wine tasting which they encourage their guests to do. The room was lovely (we had one on the lower level -- it was the cheapest), but it was plenty big and had plenty of light. The only downside was that the restaurant (while not excessively expensive) was not very good. Breakfast was reasonable (and like all over Italy and most of Europe) and large. The cost was 7 euros per person per day. After the first morning we picked up something else where for about 7 euros for both.

It is a wonderfully scenic and relaxing atmoshere, and the accomodations are clean and comfortable. The meals were very good, and the staff was very efficient and helpful. Of course it is also very well situated in the Chianti region for visiting the wine country and the many small towns of Tuscany. It was a very pleasant part of our vacation in the area, and a very good value.

The location in the Chianti region of Tuscany was the first stop on a 2 week vacation throughout Italy. It was one of the highlights. Staff was friendly & welcoming. Room overlooked the garden area. Dinner was under the stars on the patio. Grounds were well maintained & picturesque. Pool on site although we didn't have time to use. Breakfast was adequate. Would definitely return & highly recommend.

It is a wonderful place to spend a couple of relaxed days. The staff makes sure, that you are perfectly comfortable. The location is great for experienciing the heat of the Tuscan world of wine. The restaurant serves lovely varried food and good wine at reasonable prices. The view is great. You feel so much "at home" in the best sense of the word.
