Hotel Benivieni  

The location was fantastic, only 2 minutes from the Duomo and within easy walking distance of other main attractions. Plenty of good restaurants nearby. The rooms were spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Basic need are met. You should be out exploring the city, anyway!

No bathtub.

It's a nice and quiet hotel located in the heart of Florence.

The shower caps had holes in them, I suppose they were used before. The room was relatively clean except that we found a long hair under the cushions and the floor under the bed was full of dust.The breakfast buffet was poor, some tiny sandwiches, boiled eggs, cereals with milk and a couple of croissants. Also one of the receptionists, the fat guy, got really mad and was very rude to us when we said that we could pay a 6 euro fee only by credit card because we didn't have any cash. I would recommend this hotel only if you have to pay 40% of the total price, otherwise if you have the money for the full rate you could find something a lot better.

A little hard to get to by car, but the staff is extremely helpfull and efficient to solve the problem. A tip: don't be affraid of the narrow streets, keep on going and follow your gps. It is doable (even with a large car). There is vallet parking at the hotel.

Brilliant location near to everything, could walk to wherever we wanted to go. We had a nice welcome on arrival and were given a very useful map. Breakfast was good. A charming elegant hotel. No problem with noise at all.

The room size was good but with 2 adults and two teenagers in it space was cramped and all sharing a bathroom was sometimes awkward. I would have minded less if I was paying less, it seemed slightly overpriced to me - but then it was height of the summer season and in a city so maybe my expectations were too great.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral - in einer Parallelstrasse zum Dom. Das Hotel ist modernisiert und die Hoteliersfamilie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Bei der modernen Einrichtung wurde die Praxistauglichkeit vergessen: es gibt keine (!) Haken im Zimmer oder im Bad und keine Ablagemöglichkeiten. Es ist sehr laut: Glockenläuten, Restaurationsbetrieb im Hinterhof, Müllwagen sind sehr früh unterwegs, die Türöffner (von späten Gästen) machen sehr laute Geräusche. Das Frühstück ist sehr eingeschränkt: kein Käse, kein Aufschnitt, kalte, hart gekochte Eier, lauwarmen Kaffe, Obst mit vielen Druckstellen, eine eingeschränkte Teeauswahl, keine Kinderstühle etc. Das Hotel vermittelt einen Parkplatz - allerdings zu horrenden Kosten (35 Euro). Ein Dreisterne-Hotel ist in Florenz auch in günstiger Lage zu günstigeren Konditionen zu haben.
