Meliá Genova  

I liked the location as it is easy by foot to reach the city centre. Rooms very clean and very comfortable.

I didn`t like tv as all the movies you have to pay extra. Beverages and breakfast were extremely overpriced, for example breakfast 25€/per person, cappucino 3.5€ and a bottle of water from the minibar 5€. What was really bad is extra parking 35€/per night and city tax 3€/night/per person .... for what? Walking on the sidewalk? I wash`t really setisfied as simple things were with no reason too expansive. Sorry, but across the street cappuccino costs only 1.50€.

Everything at hotel Melia was wonderful the staff were friendly and efficient particularity in the dinning room at breakfast. The breakfast was included in our room rate and there was a great choice of everything you could want including delicious fresh fruit.We had a standard room at the front of the hotel which looked out on to some lovely trees,our room was very clean and comfortable with a great bathroom which had both a shower and a bath. On one particular evening I mentioned to a member of staff a minor problem we had in the bar on overhearing this Sebastien the hotel manager wanted to know the details and was very concerned that our evening should not be spoiled, on returning to the hotel later that night we had been left a lovely and very generous surprise in our room, the staff were all so thoughtful in trying to make our stay a happy one. Genoa is a wonderful city with some beautiful buildings and lots of places of interest we were very surprised at how much there was to see and do and we are looking forward to visiting Genoa again later this year when we very much hope to stay at Hotel Melia.

Like this hotel so much. The room was pretty large and pleasant, the bed was very-very convenient, in the bathroom there was everything that we need, even body lotion. Location is nice too. The staff of the hotel is attentive. In the first evening (we came from France and wanted a true italian food) we asked the man on the reception about italian NON touristic restaurant, and he recommended us wonderful place, where we took really gourmet pleasure. And the price is one of the advantages too - it isn't high for such high hotel level.

One small piece - the were slippers only for one person in our double room:)

Very good hotel, newly renovated and during summertime, high value for the dollar spent.

While traveling with Your own car it will be parked by the hotel staff in a garage which is expensive and You do not know where it is.

Location

They didn't have my booking at the front desk so had issues before this was eventually resolved. Dysfunctional blinds, cabled internet connection only. Furniture was beaten up. Lights in closet stayed on always. Phone messaging system got corrupted. A comedy of errors throughout my stay. Will not be back.

A beatifully designed hotel. From the minute you step in, you encouter the immaculate design in every detail, the most freindly staff at the reception. The location is excellent. Walking distance to the old twon, shopping area and the port. Loved this hotel from the first minute.
