Not fancy or gorgeous. But simple, clean, convenient, naive, very kind, ecological, plant lover, traditional, and good coffee. The staff's hospitality made our stay very enjoyable. We felt very comfortable to be back to the hotel after long walking ups and downs in Assisi. Next time we will choose Berti again!

I was travelling with my mother, and we absolutely loved this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone I know. Its location was superb. My mother has some difficulty walking at times, and the location, just inside the gate, so near the bus stop, made it easy to walk with luggage to the hotel. The room was very clean and the bathrooms were spotless. There is a small elevator, also. We found the breakfast delightful, a variety of pastries, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, juice, and cheese. We never left hungry. The staff makes the best cappuccino we have ever had! We dined on the lovely, picturesque terrace, even in a light rain because they have large umbrellas. A late afternoon drink or coffee on the terrace is a treat. Our room had a spectacular view of the valley from our third floor window. There was a bit of noise from the busses pulling into the bus stop, but we always got a great night's sleep. We ate at their restaurant, the first night, and had the most superb steak we have ever eaten. The house wine was first rate and the other courses were absolutely delightful. For the price, this hotel was a gem.

Daniel and the lovely woman who greeted us were both wonderful people who we enjoyed talking to and who were very helpful regarding our stay in Assisi and suggestions regarding our upcoming destinations. The room was very good value, the breakfast was very nice, and the service was great. Assisi was a wonderful place to visit. There really was nothing we didn't like about the hotel.

The location was excellent. Close to parking right outside the dity wall. Even thought the town was closed to all traffic the security guard let us take the car to the hotell to unload our bags and then the parking was just accross the street in an underground garage. The staff at the hotel was more than excellent. The lady at the desk helped us make reservations to one of the best restaurants in town because we did not speak Italian and was able to get us in at a later tiem even though they were basically full. Only thing I didn't like is that we didn't stay longer.

This tiny hotel is in a perfect location to reach both Saint Francis' basilica and the center of Assisi. The location is very quiet and the staff is attentive, we had a great room that looked out over the countryside (and the parking lot but beautiful if you look out and not down).

Very cosy and quiet place allowing a lot of privacy, with nice and caring staff. Perfect spot for both exploring Assisi and it's surroundings - few minutes walk from St Francis Basilica, and 50 meters from bus stop, giving easy access to all sanctuaries around the city. But the closiness of bus stop does not disturb the quiet in the rooms, as it is behind old city wall. Scenic view to the Spoleto Valley from the window. We can feel that people who run the hotel find pleasure, not the businness, in caring for the guests.

Great location, easy to find. Beautiful view from room. Loved real cappucino at breakfast. Many hotels now use self serve machines and the quality of the coffee drinks as not the same as one made by hand behind the bar.

Great location just inside the city walls of Assisi. Slowest internet since phone modems came to life. Poor water pressure control, thus hot and cold running showers.

In an excellent position, just inside the city walls. Our room was delightful, beautifully decorated and with a view out across the surrounding countryside. There is a delightful outside area for drinks, breakfast etc. which was regarded longingly by many passers-by! Hard beds!

Excellent location and super staff. Good air conditioning. Some places say air but it is run through the building not a separate unit, this has individual units. Great Place and the cappuccino is fantastic. Cheers.

Hotel Berti was terrific. There was nothing that was too much trouble for them. When they found out I was a coeliac and couldn't have any gluten produced a basket of gluten free products! We had to leave early before breakfast time but they were there to give us breakfast and coffee before we left - hasn't happened anywhere else in Europe. Small and personal - terrific- would certainly stay there again. Location is great just near the buses.

Rooms were spotless, breakfast was very good, the staff were friendly and helpful. Not really a complaint, but Booking.com could have provided more information about parking and that it is possible to drive though one gate to drop luggage.
