Located in the heart of the capital, a few steps away from the Teatro dell'Opera and government buildings, the Best Western Hotel Universo is the ideal place to stay for business trips or leisure breaks.

It is next to the Palazzo Massimo Museum and a short stroll away from the Coliseum, the Roman Forum and Via Veneto.

The Universo Hotel occupies an elegant and sober 19th century building, and boasts modern technologies in its 9 conference rooms (the main one having a capacity for 300 people).

The hotel’s 2 restaurants have recently been completely renovated. The larger is ideal for business dinners, banquets and receptions; the smaller and more intimate space is better suited for a more relaxed occasion. Both offer traditional Italian cuisine with some Roman specialities, as well as a good choice of international menus.

Location in the centre of Rome is ideal for walking and it is also next to the Termini which is the main hub of transport for the city.

The cooliness of air conditioning while outside was extremely hot, kidding!!! Nice hotel, good sized room.

couple of things.the staff at the reception was not extremely kind, not unpleasent neither, just not kind enough. We expected to find a big double bed (we booked a double room) and we got two single beds. Last thing, we had the impression (only impression because we didn't keep the bill and we had dinners too) they did charge us more compare to the rate we had from the reservation form.

The location to centre of the city and train station, the helpfulness of the staff.

-the TV set is hard to see in our twin room when we both lying on our own beds (room 323)

The personnel were quite rude in the reception from start and didn't speak English too well. We were billed some minibar drinks that we hadn't drunk. No-one said goodbye when we left. The beds were hard, the shower leaked to the bathroom floor.

Location, We travelled to see Andrea Bocelli in Carmen at the Teatro'Dell Opera, so location was perfect.

Air conditioning The air conditioning is essential in this country, so please ensure the unit is up to the task, with 90% less noise. Sleeping next to the fan unit was sleep invasive. Other than this point the hotel was very good.
