Best Western Hotel Bologna  

Helpful reception staff. Lovely room and bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Ideal for visiting Venice as the bus only takes 10 minutes and is every 10 minutes. We ate at night in the Bistro which I can recommend and it was reasonable.

We liked its location at easy reach to Venice by bus. It's accross the street from Mestre Train Station. The rooms are comfortable, the hotel is cozy. Breakfast is very good.

This is a commercia hotel. The staff seems very busy to give attention, to give good information. We asked for recommendations on restaurants in Mestre and they weren't interested is providing such information. They said that most restaurants were closed on Sunday evenings, but didn't bother to look for a place. They simply recommended an ordinary Pizzeria. When paying the bill they said they could not split the bill in two credit cards, or debit cards, my husband's and mine, like all the other hotels did.

The hotel was very clean and in an excellent location for us! We also really enjoyed the breakfasts.

The only thing I didn't like was the noise. The walls were very thin and you could hear everyone in the hallway walking. It also didn't help that we were one room away from the stairs and elevator.

I never enjoy hotels enough to want to go back to them, but I'm looking forward to going back to The Hotel Bologna. I'm a fussy hotel user and this is the best hotel I've stayed in for a very long while. The staff are exceptional, and the food and rooms are high quality. It provides excellent value for money (especially compared with hotels in Venice itself) and with Venice a 5 minute cheap and frequent train ride away and the railway station very close at hand, why would you want to stay in Venice? I can wholeheartedly recommend the Hotel Bologna. In case you are worried that this sounds like advertising hyperbole, please be assured it's all genuine - except for being a very satisfied customer I have not connection with the hotel what-so-ever.

I genuinely can't think of a single negative comment to make, and believe me, I've never stayed in any other hotel I can say that about.

Very close to public transport to travel to Venice (both Bus and Train across the road from the Hotel - only a 10 minute trip). Breakfast buffet and Bistro were both excellent with a wide range of food. Excellent and very comfortable rooms. Secure and convenient car parking on site. By far the best Hotel we stayed at during our whole 6 week trip.

Hotel parking space occupied; Rooms quite noisy because of other rooms and cleaning service; additional tax was not included in price.

The room and bathroom were of good high standards.

The tv speaker was situated in the bathroom ceiling (for some unknown reason) this resulted in the sound n the bedroom being distorted while in the bathroom it was a bit loud.

Its location to transport in particular the railway station for trips to Venice and nearby towns. The airport bus goes within 100 metres of the hotel thus saving expensive taxi fares. It was good value for money and included breakfast with the accommodation.

The location of the hotel is excellent, and it is easily access to Venice and also without the worry of raining season and suspension of water taxi in Venice. The hotel is also close to Marco Polo airport.

Unhelpful hotel staff and they are lack of knowledge of the local tourist attractions, when we asked for way to go to the fashion outlet in Veneto, they just mentioned the distance from the hotel to the outlet is very far and told us don't bother to go there. But when we went to the train station to ask, the train station officer said it is only 3 station aways from Mestre, which is very easy to reach the outlet.

We spent time in Venice. This location was excellent in terms of transport. The bus/railway station was right across the street so it made it easy to get in and out of Venice. The hotel was very clean, large rooms and a great breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Venice or other surrounding towns. The city itself didn't seem to offer much, but we were not there to spend time at the hotel.

Hotel is opposite Mestre Station, so well suited to anyone travelling. Easy bus connection to Airports is the main reason for choosing the hotel. If you have previously been to Venice and only have a night in town this time around, would recommend staying at this hotel. Friendly, welcoming and helpful reception staff, well appointed room and free wifi welcomed. Downstairs bar functions as a local bar, so lots of people coming and going (not just hotel guests) makes for a good atmosphere. Whilst Mestre is not postcard stuff, if you're seeking convenience, then this is the place to stay.

This hotel is very well run and the team at the front desk are very helpful indeed. The restaurant is excellent. The renovated rooms are comfortable. The location is excellent. It has a lively bar in the evening.

I have been there few years ago and I found it now well renovated and it was a nice surprise. Location is perfect to go to Venice by train and they are very kind in giving you advices, keeping your luggage, etc.

The restaurant was closed, it shouldn't during new year holidays. I didn't like the bistrot.
