The Garetto family (also managing the Gran Mogol Hotel in Turin) has been running the Hotel Genio since 1966.

The Hotel GENIO is situated on the main road which crosses the centre of the city of Turin from east to west, Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, and is located right next to Porta Nuova Railway Station. Walking the 1200 metres under the arches of Via Roma (perpendicular to Corso Vittorio Emanuele II,) brings you to Piazza Castello, which marks an area rich in museums and sites of historical and architectural interest.

The building was constructed in 1873 as part of the first development plan signed by architect Ceppi after the unification of Italy in 1861, and continuous renovation and extension work has allowed the hotel to reach a capacity of 120 bedrooms.

In January 2002, the most recent and extensive renovation work on the hotel was completed, and included a complete overhaul of the heating and air conditioning systems, new interior and exterior safety fittings that guarantee the best possible soundproofing.All our electrical and technological installations were also entirely renewed, while all the carpeting, curtains and décor was replaced.
