Hotel Giardino d'EuropaVia Lucrezia Romana 95, Appio Latino, 00178 Rome (Show map)
Good,
Score from 241 reviews
“ Ideally situated for exploring room. The end of the metro system is at anginna which is very cdlose. Free shuttle offered to airport at Ciampino and the metro station. 1 Euro on the metro to Rome. If we had known about the metro and the free shuttle we would have spent 4 nights here rather than hotels in Rome. Good restaurant .not too expensive. Great staff ”

Staff was pretty friendly. Breakfast was ok. Room was clean and a basic. Location. Even given the price based on the location, it still wasn't a fantastic value for the money. But it was far cheaper than staying in the city, which is what motivated me, as well as that they offer a shuttle. However, shuttle rides deviating from the always- scheduled trips that run only 6 times per day to the metro station are 3 euro per person, each way. That adds up really fast. Would have been better to find a slightly more expensive hotel on the metro line to save time waiting on the shuttle and the ride itself. One night, I was alone (and am female) and had called ahead for the shuttle to meet me when I arrived at the metro stop (I knew exactly what time I would be there), and instead I had to wait, alone, on the street corner, in the dark, in a shady neighborhood with disgusting Italian men leering at me, for 30 minutes. Not cool. I also previously waited for the shuttle for 45 minutes at the airport when my flight arrived, even though I had confirmed my reservation and pick-up time the day before via email. There is also nothing around the hotel - no bars, no restaurants, nothing. Especially not within walking distance. It's on the highway, in an industrial area.

The staff at the front desk were very helpful. The swimming pool was extremely handy after a hot day out sightseeing. The shuttle service from the nearest metro was good, although it was only available at the beginnig or the end of the day. The restaurant. While the food was ok, it was pretty basic. Being stranded in town till the end of the day due to the shuttle service only running at set times in the morning and eveing. Taxi's are available, but beware that they turn the meter off and charge outrageously. Ask for a price before you get in.

After a day of exhaustive travelling,it was really nice to realx in the swimming pool. We arrived in Rome by train from Venice. We were stopping in Rome for one day in order to catch a plane early the next day to France. We chose this Hotel because it was close to the Airport. We spent a long and confusing trip to get to our Hotel from the train staion. After we checked into thee Hotel we learned that therer are two Airports we were close to one airport but our flights was booked on the other which was 40 Kms. away and we had to pay $60.00 euros on a taxi to get there in time to catch our flight. At our surprize the Hotel staff commented " you don't know how often this happens". Make sure you double check the information listed in the booking.

The fact that we were only staying for 2 nights before flying home from Rome Ciampino Airport. Didn't like the cleanliness or location of the hotel. The hotel room smelt awful and on the first morning of taking a shower, a dead cockroach fell from the top of the shower curtain whilst showering. The location was in the middle of an industrial estate with no facilities close by. The price of the hotel didn't reflect the location .

The hotel was only about 30 minutes from Rome city centre. The shuttle bus was there in minutes when I called from the Metro Anangina. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was adequate, rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool was an added extra, though we did not get time to use it.I Was put off by some of the reviews I read about this hotel, however I believe you should try out places and give your own opinion. I am glad I went for this hotel as it well located and convenient to Rome. I would return to this hotel if I went back to Rome.

The staff is very kind and helpful, they really tried to help whatever problem we had. The room cleaning staff does not find the corners of the room, but the spiders! Also the breakfast was little bit boring beeing exactly the same food each day.

Netjes behandeld. Na overstroming in de kamer kregen we direct een andere kamer. Ontbijt goed hoor. Schone handdoeken iedere dag. Personeel is vriendelijk.
