The Olympic-size swimming pool and the children's paddling pool are both heated in the low season. Delight in typical regional foods in a large dining room offering splendid views of the sea. The chefs also prepare international specialties, vegetarian dishes, gluten-free and special dietary dishes, and also arrange children’s menus. Staff were wonderful. It was exceptionally clean. Food was very good. Good location. Pool-side bar food overpriced. There were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room even though this is specified on the web-site.

Terrific, helpful staff. Very clean room and public areas. Breakfast was quite good. Clean pool. Very limited parking. My first room had a very small shower and a balconey about 6 feet from a vertical mountain face -- obviously no view.

Very warm and welcoming staff. Comfortable bed with unobtrusive but effective air-conditioning. Out of the centre of Sorrento but excellent hourly free shuttle bus and free car parking making it the perfect spot as a base for exploring the Amalfi Coast and Capri. Excellent breakfast choice and very acceptable table d'hote which was well-cooked. In a week touring the Sorrento/Amalfi area, the poolside bruschetta was the best we tasted!! The grounds are unimpressive but that's not why you would stay here.

We had a wonderful stay at BW Solara. Cleanliness and service was second to none and the buffet breakfasts were amazing. Having the courtesy bus run into Sorrento every hour was great as we were able to leave our car in the car ppark until we checked out. It is a beautiful hotel and we would stay there again!

Lovely hotel with dedicated and friendly staff who obviously took pride in their work. We had the added bonus of staying on a Sunday evening and thoroughly enoyed the dinner dance.Very highly recommended.

The reception was very helpful for any kind of request/question. The shuttle bus to the center of Sorrento was useful so that we did not have to drive to the center where parking would be difficult. The pool was very big and clean. None noted.

Lovely peaceful location a few miles out of Sorrento but with excellent free hourly shuttle bus service from 8am to 11pm. Highly efficient, warm and friendly staff in all areas of hotel - pool, restaurant, bar, cleaning staff and reception - nothing is too much trouble. Definitely a four star hotel, beautiful views, customers are mostly returners for many years and the place has a true family atmosphere - faultless - book now and you won't be disappointed!

La Solara was a good hotel near Sorrento. The rooms were fine although they stuck us in a room at the far back with a view of the pool. We would much rather have had a view of the Amalfi Coast. The pool was quite nice and there was a buffet breakfast but the food was not nearly as fresh as in other hotels in Italy. They provided a shuttle bus in to town which ran every hour and brought guests back to the hotel from a designated meeting place. The hotel was fine. It needs a little sprucing up. The rooms were old and tired looking. It would have been better if the shuttle bus ran every half hour and provided a more frequent service. The breakfast was also just O.K.

Hourly bus shuttle to and from town was convenient but 100% necessary given the hotel's cliff top location. Nice sized, comfortable rooms and the complimentary bottle of wine was a nice surprise as were the easter eggs at breakfast. Inviting pool area. It was not explained to us that the keycard for the room had to be inserted into a wall slot inside the hotel room in order for the tv and lights to work. The aircon in the room didn't function but the weather was cool so no real issue. No dedicated bar or pub area. Very difficult to get back to the hotel after the last shuttle bus at 11:15pm should you choose to have a late night on the town. Taxi quotes were exorbitant, luckily a local gave us a lift!

Nous étions 2 couples avec enfants et avons réservé 2 chambres. On a apprécié la gentillesse du personnel et sa disponibilité, la propreté de la chambre, chambres spacieuses et modernes, on nous a surclassé en chambre vue mer. La possibilité de laisser son véhicule au parking de l'hôtel pour la journée entière après avoir rendu la chambre à 12 h 00. La piscine est chauffée propre et très grande. Très bonne prestation de l'hôtel je recommande Le seul bémol pas de lit matrimonial dans la chambre.

Las instalaciones son impecables, muy cómodas y el lugar es muy tranquilo. El tamaño de la habitación y del baño muy bueno, muy espaciosos. El personal es muy agradable, muy predispuesto para ayudarte en todo lo que necesites. Si bien está un poco lejos del centro no nos ha importado puesto q estabamos en auto y tiene parking gratuito, si no estás en auto, tienen un shuttle que va a Sorrento a cada rato. El desayuno es muy bueno también. La habitacion tenia un balcon muy lindo con vista a la pisicina y a la montaña. Es preferible hacer las excursiones para ir a los alrededores (Capri, Amalfi, Positano) por cuenta tuya, preguntando en el hotel, porque sino ellos te ofrecen unos tours que son muy caros. El sistema de wi fi es un tanto incómodo, tienes que poner una clave cada vez que necesitas acceder, pero de todos modos te podias conectar bien.

Realmente me ha gustado todo. La atención es inmejorable.Comodisima la habitacion y muy buena la cama. Muy completo el desayuno .Tambien era muy cómodo poder usar el servicio de traslado al centro.Hotel super recomendable,EXCELENTE!!!
