Location good but too much noise at njght
Bells are lovely but not at 7 am. Breakfast was marginal. Wifi was horrendous.
Location. Staff. Spacious room. Very clean. There is a lift in the building in the middle of old town. This is very unusual plus.
Terrific location literally across the street from the Duomo. Front desk was helpful in booking entrance times to the Accademia and Uffizi. Also were accommodating when we asked to use the breakfast area to play cards at night.
It was a little noisy at night, but that is to be expected right in the heart of Florence. I did not like that I had to pay an internet connection fee for each device in my room (1 Ipad and 2 Iphones)...this day and age this policy seems a bit much.
breakfast was a bit lite , and the windows had no screeens
We loved the location. But would have preferred a room that looked out at the Duomo. We reserved our room and requested a Duomo view months ago. We also liked the breakfasts. Plentiful and delicious.
Cockroaches! The biggest cockroach I've ever seen (large enough to be considered a tiny animl) in the bathroom, wandering down the shower door. When I coplained, I was told that nothing could be done about it because the rain brings them inside. (It was not raining. But it did sprinkle later in the day). That night, my husband killed a regular sized cockroach in the bedroom. Again I complained and again was told nothing could be done about it. I sent out some laundry and was charged 7 euros more than the laundry price list showed I should be charged. When I complainned, again I was told nothing could be done. That the extra euros were for "the service." What service, I'm not sure. We loved, loved, loved the location, but feel that there was very little customer service rendered.
The rooms were lovely--nice sitting area and bathroom on lower level and double bed on balcony. We had a stunning view of the Duomo! The furnishing and bathroom were up to date. Elevator in building except last flight of stairs. Loved the place and would stay there again. Good breakfast.
The bells at 7 am but it was really quite charming. Just don't plan to sleep in.
Bins had garbage from previous guests when we entered the room and stayed like that till the second day
The location, an easy walking distance from just about everything and the incredible view of the Duomo from our third floor window were the best features. The helpful staff and the OK continental breakfast were appreciated. Through our open windows during the evening we enjoyed the bustle of people traffic and the jazz band playing at a nearby ristorante.
Loud people outside our windows at all hours of the night and pre-dawn street cleaners and garbage collectors forced us to close our windows tightly in order to sleep through the wee hours. Take a room at the back if you sleep lightly.
This hotel was very good. Amazing location, friendly staff and great value for money.
The walls of the room were dirty and the overall feel of the room was rather unclean. Breakfast was cold. Wifi was not free.
Is just in front of the Domo & all is pretty close
The view of the Duomo was beautiful! watched sunrise come up! Breaksfast was nice and people pleasant!
Poor breakfast for the high price. Pay for wifi.
Amazing location in the middle of the city center.
The location was great. but unfortunately it meant a lot of noise and to some extent affected night sleep. Wifi was not included in the price, and you could only use one unit at a time.
We got a double room on a 4th floor which turned out to have 2 levels/floors in it - so it was a double floor room: on the 1st level there was a bathroom with a bathtub and some kind of a rest/sitting area with a couch, LCD-TV, air-conditioner and a window, then there were a stairs to the second level where there was a bedroom with another LCD-TV and another air-conditioner. The location of the hotel is absolutely ideal - right near the Duomo Cathedral. Our window looked right at it!
The elevator is a bit of a challenge if you have any piece of a luggage!
Excellent location, friendly staff, clean hotel. Value for money
Lack of hot water The lift is worn out and needs replacing (many trip hazards)
The price to value ratio was amazing The location is fantastic you can see the duomo from the 4th floor windows. Only 7 min walk either way to Uffizi or Accademia
It should be noted all rooms are 4 stories up in a walk up only building may not be great for older people or if very out of shape
location, staff really helpful, so quiet in middle of town, just steo out the door and you`re right there
I think it was the location.....the motel is right at the Duomo and you can walk to all major attractions and/or tour buses. Literally 5 minutes to leather markets. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. Staff were friendly but not as friendly as staff we met in other motels during our trip.
Breakfast was not editable and we ate breakfast down the street. Reception was on the 3rd floor with access from ground via a tiny lift that does not fit two people with luggage for a two week trip. As the rooms were on the 4th floor, the luggage then had to be hauled up the stairs to the room.
Great location with view of Il Duomo from the room window so close you could almost touch it. Walking distance to all the sights to visit and close to restaurants and shops.
Heavy rain caused a connection issue for payment and initially staff were very unhelpful asking us to go to the bank for cash. Fortunately a more senior person arrived and accepted it was their issue and allowed us to sign a document as a guarantee to pay once system was back up and running. A large blemish at the end of our stay.
