Perfect Location and view
Too many steps, can be difficult for older and handicapped people
We are given the room on last floor next to the elevator, the noise of each operation clearly in the room. As soon as we saw the room we asked for change and were than offered another bad alternative - a room almost within the breakfast area ! One of the continuously changing reception ladies gave us hotel information like instructions, you may fee yourself entering a military area with special conditions.. And lastly, the hotel has a wonderful view on the piazza of the Dome, nevertheless it is kept for a lobby area with several armchairs, but the breakfast area has even no windows, no fresh air, no light. I really do not understand this design and the idea of keeping the guests away from the most beautiful part of the hotel. I would not suggest to take any rooms near the breakfast room as well as the elevator.
The location was excellent - unbeatable in Florence. Be sure to request (demand) a room facing the cathedral.
WiFi is not free, so if this bothers you take it into consideration.
The location is perfect, it would only take you 30 seconds from the hotel to the Dom. The room is not so big but it was pretty cosy.
The breakfast was awful... Remember to ask the staff if you want paid wifi!! If you try to connect the wifi by yourself, it would direct you to a hotel website where you are asked to pay the fee, we thought it was an official thing but it turned out to be a scam or something, we paid the fee but did not get the login code. And funny thing is, according to the staff, it was actually their own website but they can't get us the login code since we payed online... The only way to get the code it to PAY ON THE FRONT DESK..no one told us when we first check in, and they told us they were not responsible for our online purchase and can not get our money back...
The view of the Duomo from the few select rooms which look out onto the square is well worth the extra charge if you're prepared to pay it. We did and felt it was money well spent. The hotel has classic style and is just 10 mins from the station.
Continental breakfast is a very basic affair and won't sustain the hardy, walking tourist for very long.
perfect location, decor with nice Italian furniture, very cozy. The guy at reception is helpful and friendly. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone!
I only stayed for 1 night, there is nothing to complain, except Wi-Fi has to be paid.
Perfect Location, very friendly and helpful staff, great morning coffee
Really poor breakfast in really small and lacking view room, bad wifi connection, kind of old building
It was an excellent stay. They upgraded us and we received a room with such incredible views of the duomo. The staff was also very approachable and shared many useful information. Will definitely stay here again!
Great location, good breakfast, nice lady at the kitchen =)
Paid WiFi with extremely poor quality.
Perfect location. Comfortable room.
poor wifi. simple breakfast. Not negative point but Note that: If you drive by car you have to drive to parking first, not the hotel. The location is very central and finding your way with car even with navigation is so hard. Make sure you contact the hotel before your trip and they will tell you what to do.
The hotel was perfect located and very beautiful.
Perfect location! Clean, nice breakfast - breakfast waitress very nice lady! :)
Hotel is very nice - just two points: It was not easy to find the entrance - no clear sign. Internet - just 1 hour for free for 2 devices!
very close to duomo but we did not have any view from our room .breakfast should be with more products. staff was good
poor wi fi
We could look out of our bathroom window and see the Duomo - Breathtaking. Right in the heart of town but on a small side street. When you got into your room you couldn't hear any noise from the outside. Enjoyable little Hotel. Nice breakfast.
When advertising Hotel Bigallo it needs to say three flights of stairs to the Lobby. I knocked on all the doors and know I disturbed someone that had an apartment on second floor. He did look upset, so I'm assuming he has this happen often.
Location.. Staff.. Very friendly
Wifi is not extensive but why is it not complementary?
We booked 2 rooms: one of them was spacious and luminous; the other one, paying the same price, was much smaller and darker. It makes no sense.
Unforetable view of the room, breakfast. Beautiful city.
The location is perfect, you can almost touch the cathedral, enjoy the cathedral just opening your window
location room was nice breakfast included lots of items
One staff member did not let my cousin sit and have an early morning cup of tea in the lounge area your choice of how we were travelling is not included in the list
location and staff are good
In which world do you still have to pay for internet in this kind of hotel. We didn't see it at the booking (actually we didn't check because we took it for granted) otherwise we would have book somewhere else.
Location - 50m from front of Duomo. Price - Got what we paid for, and more. Staff - Friendly and Helpful. Very Comfortable - Memory Foam mattresses, Cosy but up to date rooms & Clean.
Wi-Fi - €5 per day, per device and slow. Limited TV channels - Just 1 or 2, per language. Duomo Bells @ 06:45 each morning!
Location good but too much noise at njght
Bells are lovely but not at 7 am. Breakfast was marginal. Wifi was horrendous.
