The sea views from our room were great.
The quantity and variety of food laid out for breakfast was impressive but bruised and mouldy fruit was a real turn off.
location and service
room unfortunately didn't have a view
- The rooms were amazingly clean. - The location was perfect. - Cliff top rooms, well worth it. - Breakfast was extremely good, home made everything!.
-Internet availability very poor except for top payers. - No indication that soft drinks in room fridge had to be paid for, and are very expensive. - Racist attitude of staff to non-Italians. - Was very noisy from street side, also air-conditioning shakes room.
The most pleasant stay in Italy I've ever had. Great location, clean and comfortable rooms, tasty and rich breakfast, very nice and kind staff working there. Thank you!
No parking around.
Very good place to rest, nice host, perfect rooms. In the center of Tropea, best location.
Want to see more vegetables on breakfast.
Not good in cool months, probably better for summer, bed was quite uncomfortable
The view from our window was a once in a llifetime sort of view. On top of a bluff overlooking the Med, down on a stunning Church and Roman walls. The sound of the waves crashing onto the beach far below was Amazing. Beyond that, the people running the place were Amazing. We were the only guests, during the off season when much of what exists was closed. They opened for us, gave us the run of the place, and showed up to prepare a really charming breakfeast each morning- I can not rank the Blue Maison Tropea highly enough..
Parking\driving in the area are not for the thin skinned. But it is a historic district and autos are not really allowed anywhere near the place, so that concern is hardly on them.
