Great location in Venice. The singing gondoliers pass by the hotel. We will always remember the 'ciao Venezia' coming from one of the gondolas passing by. The hotel is perfect, great room, great service and a superb restaurant.

Location was absolutely perfect, within easy reach of Rialto and St Marco's, the Breakfast had a good diverse choice, predominatly Continental, there was Egg and Bacon but it was typical continental which wasn't to my taste but ok never the less, Rooms were confortable but the bells from St Marco do tend to wake you up if you are a light sleeper. Venice can be expensive place to visit, particularly for alcholic drinks, but if you choose well there is plenty of good restaurants. Thoroughly enjotable stay at the Hotel - Staff were excellent. No Tea / Coffee making facilities in the room, however, I didn't ask whether this was available elsewhere.

Perfectly positioned, just 5 minutes from St Mark's Square. Room was small - but then in older days people were smaller than now an this is a classical, stylish, old hotel - so if you like modern and big stay away. Staff were very friendly & helpful, if a bit slow - but then it is Italy and the clocks go at a different speed - so don't expect businesse efficiency. Breakfast was nice - but not breath-taking - a bit of a mixture - Italian, continental and an attmpet at Btish/American :-) Recommendable if you can get a good price.

The location of the hotel was superb! You can easily reach everything by foot. The breakfast buffet was great. No WiFi in the room where we were. I booked a deluxe room, strange without internet. WiFi in the hotel lobby is really, really overpriced. The restaurant was ok, but not great.

Only 2 things: Breakfast & location The hotel is very old design, the front desk staff were not friendly, the room was very small & we even couldn't but our luggages in the table and we couldn't move easily inside the room, the bath room was very very very small and the drainage system was very very very bad, the TV never work, the bed was totally not comfortable and because this hotel was a palace therefor they have different type of room and the room that we got was belong to the servants and it was beside the housekeeper room and the price was to much high compare to the room my advise to everyone never check in on this hotel

Excellent breakfast and excellent positioning of the hotel to visit the town! Very friendly staff (bell boy included)!!!! The oriental music in the entrance hall didn't fit with the venicien atmosphere; the room too small; the hotel is very noisy and the cleaning personnel starts the round at 08:50h (time when they woke us up).

Stayed in room 409. hotel is well located, close to the san marco piazza and fairly easy to find on arrival. Provided breakfast was satisfactory and selection / freshness more than adequate. Front desk staff / restaurant servers were helpful and pleasant. Elevators and bathroom were on the small side, but this should be expected in an older hotel Pet pieve is for fresh, soft towels. Most hotels over-look this small factor that adds a nice touch

The hotel is very nice, the location is great, easy to reach, right in the middle between Rialto and San Marco, lots of bars and restaurants just around the corner. The room is big and very well equipped. The breakfast is fine, lot of variety (except cheeses) and if you want a real coffee instead of the black colored american water, just ask the waitress: she'll bring any kind of espresso, capuccino or what you like - included in the price. The spa is very impersonal, you must reserve the Sauna which is necessary because it is extremely small. There is no resting room and you wait for your next turn on a small bench in front of the noisy whirl pool. You have to undress in your room and then walk across the whole hotel, because there is no changing room in the spa... However, it is free... The hotel bar is a very lonely place and much too expensive.

Staff very helpful and curteous. Very clean hotel even though there was some refurbishment work being carried out at the time. Breakfast was very good. Rooms were excellent and to a high standard. No bar, however, there is a bar a few minutes walk around the corned at the sister hotel Palace Bonvecchiati.

We had a lovely room on a small canal only a few minutes from St Marc's Square. Our only complaint was that there was a very unpleasant smell when entering the building and going up the first two flights of stairs. Thankfully our room was just fine.

The location was fabulous. In the heart of Venice. The breakfast is the best we have had so far. Freshly made eggs while you wait, selections endless. Everything you can think of was there, fabulous!!! We had a very spacious double room on the 1st floor. It was pretty quite considering we were facing an alley way. The bathroom had everything even a toothbrush, lovely slippers and bathrobes. The staff were friendly and professional as the hotel is very busy. Great hotel! Nothing fabulous hotel, loved it. It's a pitty about the pushy, grumpy locals (the older ones) that will push you out of the way on the water bus to get a seat. Cheer up I say you live in Venice!!!!
