Nice location; breakfast and coffee was excellent!
Needing to pay the tax for the room in cash and the room on a card.
The rooms are not what they show on the pictures. The Hotel is by far overpriced. Its an old hotel, that from my point of view should have at the most 3 stars.
Close to San Marco
Staff shows lack of interest. Deluxe room very small.
Location perfect, staff and room excellent.
Would have liked a broader hot breakfast range.
Location is fantastic and it is easy to view many of the best sights by foot. Near to the public boat transport as well. We had a venetian room and it was lovely. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
Location, comfortable, clean and the breakfast.
Hotel was clean and a good location
Staff were not overly pleasant and no WiFi in the room
Lovely hotel, staff really friendly, very clean and in a great location, a few minutes walk from the Square. Breakfast there could of been a little more choice but still good quality.
More choice of things for breakfast. Or different things each day.
With just a few steps away from San Marco Sq location could not be better, it is also very easy to get to and from the airport. The modern facilities and breakfast is also quite good
The room space may feel small however being in the middle of venice its probably as good as it can get.
Location food and comfort of the hotel
This hotel is really good for its location! Breakfast is also good and varied.
Beds were horrible, did not sleep for thy he two nights we were there. They joined two single beds to make a double bed and the beds kept moving apart so my husband and I kept falling in between. Also the gym was closed on Sunday.... Not sure why because the hotel was still open....
Position Was a Good
Very central, and friendly staff. Spa facilities are a bonus in central Venice! Excellent breakfast, with beautiful view over the canals. Will go back when in Venice
Nothing, I had a very pleasant stay
- Very close to Piazza San Marcos, Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. - Very convenient to restaurants, shopping and sightseeing. - Staff is very friendly and helpful.
- Being from the Northwestern US, I found November to be warm in Venice, but since it was considered winter to the locals, the AC would not work. I had to sleep with the windows open at night and had to deal with mosquitoes.
Comfy bed, great location
Mosquitos, free wifi would have been good
extremely small room, much smaller and very old bathroom !
This is a very quirky Hotel in the heart of an amazing city. The Hotel is old and full of character, staff are very traditional and attentive. There was WIFI, a safe in the room and a bathtub in an ample bathroom. Breakfast was actually better than I expected, but avoid the rush if you want to get a table. There was a small jetty if you want to be lavish and get a water taxi to the Airport etc. All in all - a good option to feel the spirit of Venice.
The room was a bit small.
Location was excellent.
Service was POOR,Escalator was small, felt like a your in a coffin(scary) No kettle for random coffee in the room. The Room was a box with two beds next to each other. Wi-fi was poor! ( i think Venice, in general, has a problem with this) The hotel is very over priced for what you getting!
The location is superb
Joined to sister hotel - the palace - which is a much nicer design. Restaurant serves both hotels so what's the point of two entrances etc. wifi is charged which is poor service in today's market. Gym could be good but neglected
All but the shower
Exceptionally little water in the shower
very classic hotel
noise level until we figured out to keep the shutters closed fixed outside canal traffic noise
Never have a room close to elevator.
The breakfast was very good, there was a lot of choice. Great location. Friendly staff.
The room was very noisy because of a generator or airconditiong under the room outside. Also because the cupboard of the cleaning ladies was next to our room. So noice from 7 am in the morning.
The location was really perfect , just u need to know whts around u
No wi fi, no Iraning No coffe in the room
Traditional period hotel in a prime location. Hotel was helpful and offered our daughter gluten free products at breakfast. There was plenty of options for her to have.
Noisy early morning starts from the locals making waterside deliveries. Even though our room was on the third floor - it took us a couple of days to get used to the noise. Having said that, we are used to an exceptionally quiet environment where we live.
