Very lovely rooms and art design throughout. Front desk staff who are women are excellent and so is the bar tender/breakfast staff.Close to the Uffitzi but out of the square madness. Air condidtioning was only working a low level,BAD internet set up...some package deal that never worked right. Forgotten wakeup call and clothes meant to be sent to laundry forgotten to send. Both "forgot" due to one staff only...rest were excellent

Rooms and location is great. Very noisy. There is a nightclub next to the hotel and you can hear the crowds until 4am. Although we have requested a garden view room which our rate allowed during booking, our request was not accommodated.

Location was superb, staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was comfortable, spotless and excellently serviced. Some facilities (internet and tv) were not functioning fully, but I would not have used them in any event. The breakfast buffet was adequate, but only just.

The location The Borghese concentrates more on the 'art' than the 'hotel' sadly. It is overpriced, understaffed and offers very poor value for money. The decor is tired and in need of repair/maintenance, ie cracked glass sink, scuffed walls, poorly attached tv - wonky, phone broken. It was 34 degrees when we arrived and the aircon had been switched off to all rooms and just kept in the communal areas, our room was near the air con unit which hummed loudly and intermittently all night, the jacussi in the spa was scalding hot, half full and the jet's don't work properly. The bar man turned down the music in the bar so he could have a 20 minute personal phonecall to his mates - I could go on its just the tip of the iceberg. I told reception staff of this - not bothered or apologetic in the slightest. Simply stay somewhere else you'll enjoy it more.

The location was great, The hotel was awful. They promised air-conditioning, which they did not provide (the room was almost 90 degrees). The staff was unhelpful and rude and we were accused of making long distance calls to Australia and when we swore we didn't, as we're American and don't know anybody in Australia, we were told that it must have been a bellboy or a housekeeper making those calls from our room. Terrible. Also the decor is horrendous. It's like Edward Scissorhands meets s&m- totally creepy. Definitely stay at the Monna Lisa instead.

The service was fantastic, the room very stylish and clean and also the small spa was the perfect end of a visiting day when you feel tired and outside is very cold. I had a great time in Florence with my boyfriend, and really enjoyed the location of the Hotel. Very romantic; we were meant to stay for one night but we ended up staying 3 nights! I'll definitely come back!

Modern chic decor. After entering through the beautiful entrance hall, I felt the rooms were not as grand. And feel that a 4* hotel should of had tea making facilities in the room.

good location in the city centre the room was very, very cold and the air conditioning was not adjustable from the room, there were no extra blankets in the closet. the bathroom had some odd equipment concerning the tap: the hot and cold water are to be turned on by the same tap control. traces of mildew in the shower. overall, I would not expect all these details from a hotel in this category and price range.

We were very disappointed with this hotel. The room was very small and the heat could not be turned on. There is no wifi in the room and the bed was cheap, thin cheap sheets, thin pillow and I had to cover myself in towels to get warm. Breakfast isn't even included. Much too expensive for what you get!

Loved the design of the rooms, fantastic colors and artwork! The style of the elevator (although a bit slow) with the staircase wrapping around is beautiful. The location is amazing, right in the heart of the happening part of town, where everything is walking distance. Delicious restaurants close by, and streets full of great shopping, even on Sundays they were open! Some staff were very nice, friendly, and accomodating (like the first one who upgraded my room! Thank you!). The blanket was too thin, I got cold at night. There were no english channels on tv, so I was pretty disconnected from the news of the world (at least add a news channel). Although there was internet included in the price of the room, there was only cable connection so I could not connect through my mobile phone (I didnt bring my laptop with me). One other staff member had very little knowledge of the area and what was open on sundays, and at checkout a third staff person was pretty much out of it (but to be fair it was 6:30am)

Situated in the heart of Firenze near Uffizi museum and the Duomo. Breakfast is served till 10h30 but when you arrive at 10h15 you're told that you too late. Staff organized an emergency breakfast in the hallway for me and my family.

I liked the modern interior and facilities housed within an old building. The hotel was perfectly situated for all our sightseeing. I felt comfortable and safe. The reception staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. My sister and I had a lovely time in Florence and part of this was because the hotel staff were welcoming and our room was comfortable and quiet. Thank you for helping to make this one of our favourite destinations.

“I love my stay at this hotel. The staff is really friendly and helpful (especially to advise on restaurants ;) . The value for money is really good, not too expensive but still chic and really good quality hotel. I was really impressed by how 'clean' it was also. The breakfast buffet is fab! and the bar is cool! The location is awesome as you are right in the centre! Fantastic! And also no city noise or anything! I strongly recommend it! ” Samia, Leeds |
