Incredible imagination used by the owners to create a magical fantasy of accommodation and art gallery. Room decor wonderful, spacious & with beautiful bathroom area. Staff attentive & very helpful, wanted to stop longer but they were soooo busy. Parking costs at the garage next door were very high as they use a 'per day rate' rather than a '24 hr rate' so be warned.

Beautiful designed comfortable and reasonable sized rooms to accomodate up to 4 people. Although the bathrooms have a wonderful contemporary design, the shower is very small and not practical. Needs more countertop space in sink.

It was located where there was easy walking access to so many important places, like , Il Duomo, the Uffizzi the Accademia, and the Ponte Vecchio The decorations and the rooms are stunningly beautiful and the beds very comfortable. All in all, a wonderful choice and reasonable in price. All the personnel, especially Sasha, were friendly and accommodaing with each and every request. There was nothing we didn't like about the Borghese, The location, the price, the comport and the luxury were all and more than we expected.

We loved the hotel, it's stylish and well looked after. All receptionists were extremely helpful and nice. We rented a car and there's a garage right next to the hotel, where you can leave the car overnight for an extra fee, which was very convenient to us. They charged 28 euro per night for our little Fiat 500. We would gladly stay in this hotel again. Wifi is available only in the common areas of the hotel, in the room there was only cable internet.

Friendly reception staff - however more often than not only one on duty having to multi-task - which led to them prioritising the telephone leaving guests standing waiting for attention. This happened on several occasions. When the staff were able to del with enquiries they were excellent - well informed and helpful. The spa facilities are good. Every morning the coffee was COLD. The scambled eggs and bacon were also cold the first time I tried it and thereafter other guests said the same. There was no soya milk, and no bread rolls, and no orange marmalade. Rice cakes were promised but never materialised This meant we had to buy our own rice cakes and marmalade and take to breakfast each morniong. The worst issue was the cold coffee. Dreadful.

The hotel is very centrally located in Florence with parking right next door. Recent city rules limiting cars in the center city and new one way streets make locating the hotel a bit challenging.... But well with it!!!! Our room was comfortable, stylish and quiet so we had excellent rest!!!!! The inclusive breakfast was sumptuous!!!! Many meats and cheeses, pasteries, scrambled eggs and hard boiled as well. We would stay here again and recommend it to any and all visitors to Florence. All of The staff was friendly and helpful!!!! A delightful stay. We were disappointed roof repairs were underway so we missed a visit to the roof top patio..... Safety first !!!!

The staff were nice, helpful, knowledgeable, competent and friendly. The location is sublime - three minutes' walk from the Uffizi, the Duomo, etc. etc. etc. The breakfast was included in the room and the serving staff were absolutely adorable, serving people even after the cut-off time of 10:30. I told the front desk I expected an important phone call and they checked the system to make sure I would get it. The rooms and bathrooms were rather chichi but very clean. I liked that the bedrooms had parquet floors not carpeting. The prices were steep; my first room had a view on the wall opposite & was the size of a broom closet - a nicely-decorated broom closet, but a broom closet, so that I banged my leg on the edge of the bedframe every time I wanted to get to the closet. When I complained firmly about that, immediately after I was shown the room (number 202) and said I'd rather leave, I was told that even though I'd booked 12 hours before, I wouldn't get a refund from my credit card guarantee & owed the cost of the entire stay for not having cancelled "48 hours before", which sounded Kafkaesque. We finally agreed that they'd change my room at no charge the second day (they were full the first day). The second room (which they switched at no extra charge), number 305, was meant to be a double deluxe and was STILL small. In both bathrooms there was no Kleenex at all and only plastic disposable cups - even in the double room that had a list price of €360. In both rooms the airconditioning was in even though we were in September and even though I turned it off at night I was cold both nights. The wifi only worked, not very fast, in the lobby - not in the rooms. The "spa" in the cellar has short opening times and you need to notify the desk in advance. The vaunted "terrace" upstairs has a nice view but it's perhaps 6 square meters in all, and anyway it was closed for renovations when I came. Overall this is a nicely-run hotel but it has unreasonable boutique pretentions.

The family room was excellent, plenty of space and very clean. The staff were extremely helpful. The air conditioning in the room did not work. This was a major problem in the heat of August. (Hence the "fair" score for comfort"). Had the air conditioning worked ti would have been excellent.

Central location. Noisy music played all day in bar area, when asked staff to turn it down looked at with disdain. Did not fit in with rest of hotel. Unfortunatley had some noisy and selfish guest staying in nearby rooms, nothing to do with the hotel though. Only after booking were we informed balcony area was closed for refurbishment.
