Everything. Very friendly personnel, charming room, location. And the food in the restaurant was delicious...
The only minus about the place is its location. One has to drive about 15 minutes from the main roads. If you have a big car it can be a problem, as the roads are very narrow.
We loved the old winery buildings, cleverly converted into accommodation, our small apartment was well equipped, clean and was very reasonable priced. peaceful and quiet with super views. We enjoyed the swimming pools which had plenty of good quality sun beds.would definitely stay again if visiting this area.
Beds were a little hard for some of our party and there was a wedding going on when we arrived although cleverly the evening do was around one of the pools and we heard nothing at all which quite frankly was a relief! Don't forget the mosquito repellent.
We could not travel as child was unwell. 4 nights booked. Hotel would not offer refund even a partial refund. They should have compromised and offered partial refund in good faith. I would not recommend hotel based on this fact.
The pools and the rooms
The food and the mosquitoes!!
Service could be slow at times
Fantastic place with beautiful gardens and pool. V romantic. Village nearby and really good restaurants within walking distance.
The only problem was no maid service. At all. For a four star hotel I thought this strange. So no change of sheets or towels for whole stay.
Nothing good here!
Initially, when we arrived, the staff were very friendly, transporting our luggage to our room happily. Unfortunately, we soon found out that a wedding was being held the same day. As a result, the restaurant was understaffed, and we could not sit outside (30 degrees!!). Also, there was no private garden with our studio, there was only a shared public garden; this garden did not have any chairs due to... The wedding; we had to stay inside! Meanwhile the party had started, and an Italian singer badly sung well-known contemporary pop songs, which could be heard all over the resort, inside and outside! The party lasted till 01:00! We had been traveling a long way! The staff said the wedding troubles would only be present one day; well, we only had seven days to spend there, so how rude! The tap in our appartment needed a new rubber (drip drip). Last but not least, next day breakfast was gone half an hour before the end. On top of all this, when we said we wanted to leave the next day, they wanted us to pay for the one night! How rude! 24 hours of supposed holiday bliss had actually been 24 hours of wedding terror! This is supposed to be a high-quality resort. It was a horrid experience which I hope to soon forget! Don't go here! It is bad!
Pool Rooms Staff Location
Restaurants, food not good and expensive
Nice location and surroundings, the borgio has a little bit of a high-class style. Comfortable rooms with kitchen area fully equipped, pool very clean. No vehicle traffic within the borgio area.
Check-out time - 10:00 a.m too early
We liked it all really, buts few more sun beds would be good
We loved the scenery and the setting of the hotel yet still only a short drive into Pisa.
There were a lot of children at the resort and at times could be quite noisy from them. However, it would not put us off coming back to the hotel again but we would most likely aim to come back outside of school holidays to avoid this.
the accomodations and the view
the drive to the resort as I am afraid of heights.
Loved the style, location and general atmosphere of the resort. Will be planning a future visit most definitely. The two pools were clean with plenty of sunbeds.
Mosquitos ! be prepared they are everywhere. The snack bar restaurant was not open at lunch and early pm. On the one night we required drinks at the resort the main restaurant happily catered for us. lack of washing up liquid, cleaning sprays and condiments in the apartment - didn't really feel we should have to shop for these for a week's stay.
Great apartment with beautiful rooms, kind staff and nice views.
beautful location, friendly and helpful staff and lovely apartment
the location, the tranquility of the place and the wonderful views from the terraces.
Very nicely conversion of an old vineyard into vacation apartments. Pleasant restaurant in the middle of the facility for coffee, aperitif and dinner (although for family pizza dinner use the pizzeria opposite of the reception). The larger pool was great fun for our 2 sons (10, 13).
