It's unclear how many apartments in the complex are available through booking.com, and overall booking process was a real struggle.
There are no easy options for communicating with the owning company such as website enquiry or email address, with the only option being a costly international phone call to a mobile number. Consequently we had to make a second booking when we could not get the first confirmed.
Without any warning on booking.com, we found that the owner only accepts cash and not credit card - not expected for accommodation of this sort. The owner was flexible about allowing time to get the cash.
Apart from the pool, the additional facilities aren't as described on booking.com - the internet was slow or unconnectable, the gym was closed, parking was not allowed in the garage, and there were no laundry facilities. To be fair, these would have been nice, but are not show stoppers.
For a really good apartment in a great location, there was an unnecessary level of challenge to complete the basic accommodation arrangements.
The location is excellent, with a view over Gaiole and the town centre a few minutes walk away. The apartment complex is modern, attractive and without noise or other disturbance for our September booking.
Our 2 bedroom apartment had good kitchen facilities - handy for breakfast and occasional self-catering, but there was no laundry.
Overall, it was very good value for money. Despite the difficulties that we encountered with the administration of the booking, it was very much worth the effort in the end, and we would highly recommend this location for a Tuscan holiday.
